Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown

The receptionists, bartenders and other staff are good at their jobs, very polite and friendly. The room was very clean and the bedding very comfortable. The rooms were great.

We went for Country Thunder which meant everywhere was very busy and there was only one working elevator the entire time which wasn't anyone's fault just very inconvenient. The parking was horrible, they don't have enough underground parking for guests and we had to drive around for an hour before we could find a spot then we had to pay for parking all weekend which was also a headache.

I like its location and the service was great. When we entered our reserved room it smells cigarette but when we brought it up to the staff she immediately offered a room transfer which is great.

We have breakfast included but it was disappointing. We had to wait for a while for the food to be served. My husband did not get to eat a hot breakfast because he has an appointment. We got there early but still waited for the food. The serving crew did their best to serve what ever the can, the food did not come out fast enough. Its better to have a buffet style breakfast

The room is so clean. So cozy, everything is new. The location is close to US embassy where we just went there 5 minutes walk. When the Front Desk Staff asked me what is my preferred room. I said, best view. So, they put as where we could see the Calgary Tower. Also, I ordered in room service for my daughter that they don't have in the menu but they gladly made it for her. All of the staffs there from front desk, in the restaurant, Room Attendant they are so warm. They greeted every clients with a warm smile. Easy to park as well. Walking distance to Real Canadian, Calgary Tower, Restaurants to explore. Overall, we are very much happy in our stay in Hilton Garden Inn.

The location is the best quality by far. Really close to the US Consulate, downtown Calgary, Calgary Tower and public transit. So even without a car you can get by easily just walking or taking transit. The room is beautiful, feel new and refreshing, the view is also a plus. The staff is great! They even let us stay longer at the room without charging extra because our flight was so late!

The floor did not feel clean enough. Because the floor is cold we would normally walk with socks inside the room and the socks got very dark not a good sign. The pillow was also not good for my taste, I woke up with my neck hurting the next morning because it was too soft. The water pressure at the shower could be higher, the sink worked normally but the shower was lacking on that department.

Everything went well. Location was close to the train. Had fun in the pool and breakfast was as expected. The room was comfortable.

We couldn’t get the room cool enough. Heat off and air conditioning up full blast snd we were still warm. There was no orange pekoe or black tea in the room, but we didn’t ask for any either. We just had coffee instead. The most uncomfortable thing about the location was that it was a little scary walking around right outside the premises. We felt safer a block away. Too many people behaving strangely. Perhaps if we had seen a security guard we may have felt more at ease. There may have been security in place, but we didn’t notice it.

it was a perfect location for country thunder. loved all the staff. the bar and restaurant were amazing. my boyfriend and i loved the pool. such a clean hotel! beds were comfy!

I have booked this hotel early april for our trip to country thunder. i got a phone call a couple days prior to our trip. the receptionist asked if we could end our stay early because they way overbooked. as i declined the receptionist gave me attitude over the phone. kind of disheartening especially when this hotel is not cheap.

Room and restroom were spacious. Nice Breakfast. Staff were wonderful serving the breakfast. Good internet. Location was also good as it is in the downtown area.

Bed had a cranky noise on any movement which was annoying. They provided very limited supply of tea and coffee and upon calling guest service for refills on the second day, they also provided one coffee per person without any tea bags. No complimentary water, we were instructed to drink tap water or other option was to buy water from the main desk.

This hotel is very dog friendly. I was able to go out to my conference and leave my dog in the hotel room. Staff was happy to see my dog and give her treats any chance they got.

Underground parking is pretty limited. The downtown location makes it a little dicey to take the dog out for a bathroom break in the evening, but the property and surrounding parking lots were very well lit.

Nice, comfortable hotel in central location. Gym looked big. We booked very last minute as the place we had booked (via booking.com) was closed down when we got there!

Swimming pool pretty small. A dad with 2 sons were in it when I went, so no space to swim. maybe ok if on your own, but not very big for a proper swim.
