Delta Hotels Calgary Downtown

I was in town for a 2 day workshop. The room was great, clean, very comfy bed and great view of the Calgary Tower. The front desk was very helpful with helping me receive a delivery, friendly and very attentive when I had questions or needed assistance. Great food in the restaurant.

I was excited to have a bathtub to take salt baths, however, my room ended up with a tiled floor rain shower which was lovely. Not a fan of downtowns there were constant sirens day and night. (no fault of the hotel of course)

My husband and I stayed at this hotel every year for our anniversary. Sadly, my husband passed away this spring so I celebrated our many years together by staying there again this fall, around the date of our anniversary. I had requested a room with a city view as we had enjoyed in the past. When I checked in, I was not given a city view. However, the desk reception staff quickly and graciously changed my room, and helped me move to a room across the hall. They also gave me a free breakfast pass to compensate for the error. I appreciate this is the kind of customer relations service in a business. Having the city view made all the difference in remembering past weekend stays with my husband.

The concierge staff were personable, friendly, accommodating and set the tone for a great stay. Stores and sights were 10 minute walks away. We were kindly upgraded to a suite which was thankfully a higher floor therefore it helped lessen the city street noise. There is also a lovely outdoor patio area to enjoy summer evenings.

The hotel is attached to a fire station so at night the sirens were quite loud. In addition the signage coming out of the parking needs to adjusted as it implies not going left onto the street but the one way street means you cannot go right! A few people turned into oncoming traffic.

The hotel was very clean and chic. The best part was that the hotel let us check out late as our flight was later in the day. We would have been stranded for many hours if the hotel didn’t accommodate us. Another nice touch was free complimentary bottled water, it seems simple but it was so nice for people who don’t like tap water and are travelling without a reusable water bottle. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Will definitely stay here again next time I am in town.

The location, close to River Bow, was nice for walking and close to The Mall, the main shopping area, 6-8 mins walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities modern

Occasional traffic noise but not too much. It is after all a main city so not unexpected. We would stay here again.

It was in a perfect location with spacious and comfy rooms. The beds were a dream We had a day and night in Calgary and this was a great base to get to Stephenson Avenue and the CN Tower and then not a far walk over to peace Bridge to watch rafters float and then Kensington District for cool bars and Tacos. Price reflects standards and facilities. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Parking would be better if it were included within the price of the room.

We booked two queen rooms. Both are clean and comfortable.

I think the staff could be more attentive guests. When I need to check in or out, the staff saw me there but continued to talk to one another and just let me wait. I think it’d be great if they can acknowledge me and ask me to wait instead of just continued on like I wasn’t there.

The location, the pool , the views of the Bow river

It was all good only gripe is the pool towels were not replenished 2 x days when ai went for an early morning swirl. I also had to wait for 20 minutes to get into the pool when it had not been opened at the required time which was frustrating

Deluxe King room 1717 (north side of the building). Great view of the river. Staff were fantastic and courteous. In-house restaurant downstairs was yummy with good draft beer that we were permitted to bring back up to our room. Underground parking was provided at not cost to us, although there is usually an additional charge. Plenty of elevators, so the wait time was very low. Good security to get up, and easy to get down.

The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner (mineral deposits on the shower glass), but I'm getting very picky at that point. Perhaps I made an error, but I was under the impression there would be a couch in addition to the chair. We wanted to play a tabletop game in our room, but we couldn't do it comfortably.

Perfect stay in Calgary - comfy and clean room (with AMAZING view as we were lucky enough to get a room on a high floor). Staff were fantastic! Location is great as it’s right in the middle of downtown so you can walk to most places very easily. Highly recommend! The restaurant and coffee shop on site are nice too!
