Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Downtown

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I can't express enough how impressed I was with the level of service and flexibility provided by their staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a valued guest. One of the standout moments was when I arrived at the hotel well before the official check-in time. I was expecting to just drop off my luggage and wait in the lobby, but to my pleasant surprise, the staff allowed me to check in to my room right away. This small but significant gesture made a huge difference for me. I had been traveling for hours and had an important meeting later in the day, so being able to freshen up, change, and catch up on some work in the comfort of my room was a godsend. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering a comfortable workspace and a cozy bed. The Wi-Fi connection was strong, which was essential for me to catch up on emails and prepare for my meeting. The room service was prompt.

Loved the location and the cleanliness of the property! I am a cleanliness freak so I appreciated the spick and span bathroom and clean bedroom.

The hotel is connected to the Dorian and the staff didn't make it clear what all restaurants we could go to as part of our breakfast package. We were sent to one on the Dorian side and they brought me a bill then. Even though I wasn't charged after having a convo with the staff, I just think they should be specific as to what restaurants within the hotels are accessible for those that pay for "breakfast included"options. Also, I wish parking was free!

The room exceeded my expectations and it was a few blocks from the entertainment district.

I thought it was a brand new hotel (which I read online). It's an older building that has been renovated. It still has the old style ice machines in hall and I was woken up a couple times. There were a lot of drug addicts on the streets, I sometimes felt uneasy at night.

This is a brand spanking new 27-storey hotel that exists alongside the much smaller Dorian. It's all incredibly impressive. Everything is new, clean, in perfect working condition. The bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The AC works flawlessly. I live in Calgary but wanted to stay downtown for proximity to the weekend's Pride celebrations and to escape the bizarre September heat wave we had, and I can't express how welcome that AC was! Inside was pure peace, quiet and comfort. Every staff member I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. A wonderful experience in every respect!

This has to be one of the BEST Hotels I have ever stayed in throughout my entire trip to Canada! Straight from the start, with the Location, all the way to the friendly staff and the incredible clean rooms with AMAZING window views of downtown Calgary, I loved the super comfy beds and their bathrooms, which has to be one of the biggest highlights!

I loved how friendly and helpful all the staff were. It didn’t seem forced, and genuine friendliness. The pillows were plentiful and comfy!

The perfume in the lobby is painfully strong. The beds were lumpy and the mattresses kept sliding off the frames (they were like tables with a mattress laid on top).

The staff were lovely, but the hotel was incredible. The beds were super comfortable and all the rooms were lovely and the bathroom truly exceptional. Even the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion was so incredible I have purchased this separately after leaving! Would happily stay here again and again!

Absolutely nothing!

People were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed schmoozing with them. Breakfasts were fine. Prefer medium coffee rather than dark roast - would like to have a choice.

Staff maybe should know where the nearest Airport bus stop (300) actually is for visitors departing Calgary. Not everyone travels by vehicle.

Location is great, breakfast is also very nice, a la carte with few options, but I tried 2 different meals and they were both excellent. The staff is very friendly. Hotel is new and clean. Highly recommend it.

50$ for parking is way too much.

Great location close to the Calgary Tower where we were eating and meeting family. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Totally satisfied our needs.

The lady on reception was not very helpful with the bill - I paid it the day of arrival but she made me feel I had to pay it again - her English wasn't great I'm afraid.
