Neat House

Good location. Just 1-2 blocks from the main lively streets of Mapo/Hongdae. In between two metro stops (but about 10 min walk to either station). The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. Easy check in process. Quiet, cozy and mostly comfortable stay.

There were quite a few mosquitos on the upper floor and in one of the bedrooms.

The host was very helpful and walked us to the kitchen, allowed us to store our luggages after check out and also let us borrow umbrellas for the rainy day. We arrived late in the evening so clear instructions were sent via booking message on how to find the guest house (including the passcode for self check in). The location is close to the most popular streets in Hongdae as well as to the subway station. The breakfast (i.e. products in the kitchen that you can use: milk + cereal, toast, eggs, instant coffee and tea) is a nice addition.

The rooms could be cleaner. Also, the kitchen is in a totally different building and since we came late at night, we had to wait till morning to go to the administration office and ask for directions because there was no info written anywhere on how to find it. I would suggest to include the directions to the kitchen in the message with the info about check in.

Room is clean, near to subway, responsive when text them. Like the big balcony

There are flight of stairs need to carry luggage up and down. Ceiling is too low and wall too thin, can hear next door talking . Room size quite small.

Such a great place to stay. Located a block back from the main street made it really quiet at night, but it was still close enough to the subway stations and shopping streets. The room was really comfortable and clean. The bathroom was spacious, too. The staff was really helpful through messages to give information I needed as well.

The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was the tiny door I had to walk through to get down into my room from the main door. As a nearly-six-foot-tall woman, it was a bit of a crouch to get through. But other than that, my stay was perfect.

The property was really close to many of the things you would want to visit in Hongdae, but still in a quiet area that felt more like a neighborhood than a tourist spot. The owner was super friendly and helpful. We arrived around lunchtime, so after checking our bags, I asked her for a restaurant recommendation. She actually walked us all the way to the restaurant and helped us order. The room was clean and the decor was really nice — simple but trendy — and the bathroom had a nice rain shower head and a shower curtain to help keep the rest of the bathroom dry.

The whole experience was great — no complaints

The room is okay size with comfortable bed and cute decoration. There are no facilities but I liked the shower head, it had very strong water pressure. Location is fantastic as you can just walk across 3-5 minutes to the main walking street of Hongdae, it doesn't get much better than that. There is a big new cafe opened just opposite and there are a lot of convenience stores/eateries around. The staff is also very helpful and accommodating. The whole check-in check-out process was smooth and painless. Would definitely recommend.

I can see some flies inside the room at first, and the bedsheet was not super clean, but it's okay for me because I only stayed one night.

Location is great. Easy check-in and check out. The decor was super cute and the beds were very comfortable.

The shower would switch between hot and cold water all the time.

within walking distance from Hongik station! across the road (5-10mins) walk is hongdae street already! there’s few convinence stores nearby which is very nice ! owner is very sweet too! the room is very cosy too! there’s a microwave outside the rooms!

hot water can be hard to adjust and at night can be pretty dark🥹 can be space constraints if you have huge luggage but otherwise it’s fine!

The location is very near the busy Hongdae so you are spoilt with the choice of restaurants /foods. The breakfast though simple help us to save quite a bit of money

The staircase which is quite steep. you can hear your next door neighbour talking especially when is quiet at night.

Neat House is in a great location in Hongdae. Very close to all the great restaurants, bars, cafes and stores that the area has on offer. It's also close to the subway station and bus stops. Despite being so close to the busy areas, the guesthouse was quiet as it's two streets away from the main road, which is brilliant. The owners are very accommodating too and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony, which was great! We enjoyed sitting up there in the cool of the evening. The breakfast is a DIY style, which we liked. Another huge plus was that they had large bath towels! Which is very rare in Korea. Overall, a great stay!
