L7 Hongdae

This hotel was the perfect place to look around Hongdae. The room was super comfortable(especially bedding) and the check-in was easy. My room had a gorgeous city view and Wi-Fi was fast. There was no spa and gym, but famous aesthetic clinic in Korea was on the 3rd floor. It was a great place to relax while having skin treatment

There was a little street noise, but it wasn't that uncomfortable.

Location was near Hongdae street, where there were lots of restaurants and shops. It's just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Line Friends Store is just below the hotel building. Also, there's a Lotteria burger restaurant and Angel-In-Us Cafe at the ground floor. Breakfast can be taken at Angel-In-Us Cafe; they have set breakfast meals for hotel guests. For the train station, Hongik University Station (green line) is just 2 minutes away by foot. The reception area in the 21st floor is a nice place to relax. You can play billiards or foosball; you can just lounge in their comfy sofas/chair; maybe read a book from their library; use their computers; or play some vinyls from the turntable station.

It was difficult communicating with the staff because they spoke little English. Bring your own toothbrush/toothpaste and shaving kit, because the hotel will not provide you with these amenities (environmental waste concerns). These are available though at the vendo machines in the reception/check-in area (21st floor), but they are expensive. It would be better to buy them at the convenience stores located near the hotel.

not really any room for storage (like a good closit). terrible situation with elevators. you spend alot of time waiting. breakfast could be better extremly expensive to use the roof top pool. 30 000-40 000 won for a few hours is completly disapointing When you live at a rather expensive hotel.

Nice, hip place in Hongdae that is very accessible to the train station and other neighbouring areas. Staff speak English well, and overall I was very pleased with the hotel’s service. Rooms are equipped with AC, bathrooms with bidets and hot water readily available at all times. I also liked that I got new bottles of water everyday, free of charge. Very much appreciate this!

The room was great, location was amazing (above the line friends store!). Within meters of Hongdae station.

The rooftop pool that is used as major promotion is a paid facility, and it isn't cheap. Between 20.000 to 50.000 won per person depending on the day and time of the day.

Breakfast was quite okay however the meals that supposed to be hot such as bacon or scrambled eggs were cold... We stayed for 5 days and each and every day the choices were the same... However the food was fresh and tasty in the Italian style. There was a choice of salads, salmon, ham, some bread and cereals, bananas and apples. Tiramisu was super yummy. The restaurant is located on 21 st floor with a great view on Seoul. Wi - Fi works very well in the entire hotel. The bed was super comfortable. Rooms equiped with kettle, slippers and bathrope. Bathroom equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Friendly and helpful staff. Location was amazing. There is a fridge in the room with the bottled water inside.

The rooms could be more clean and neat. No wardrobe or any shelves to keep clothes. There was just a metal pipe to hang the clothes on it. At nights there was a bit noisy in the area but it was bearable.

Location is very good directly in Hongdae, just few passes from the Hongik University Station entrance. The view in the 20th floor was stunning, big windows!

Quite noisy area, the road is used at night for racing and speeding up sports cars and motorcycles. The room had no closet to store my clothes, just open hangers above the mini bar.

Nice welcome drinks and drip coffee in our room every day! Ice machine for ice coffee on each floor, free to use, loved it. Superb view over the city. Very close to metro station, nice restaurants and local shops in the neighborhood. Lounge was very comfy, vending machine sells good drinks/snacks. Great amenities (nice smelling soap/shampoo/shower gel). Smooth check in and check out (until 12:00, very generous). COMFY BED.

Walls in our room looked really dirty, needs to be repainted. You need to pay for the pool and drinks at the rooftop bar are very expensive. I didn't like the carpet everywhere (makes it difficult to walk with your suitcase) – also looks outdated.

Room was nice, good size and very clean. The bed was really comfortable. The housekeeping staff was very effective. If you do not want them to disturb you , use either the "do not disturb light" or the magnet. The hotel itself was very well located giving access to hongdae and other areas super quickly thanks to its proximity with the area and with line 2 as well as the many buses.

There was no place to eat outside food apart from our room. A lounge is available for customers but we cannot eat or drink there meaning that our only option is to eat in the room wich makes it smelly.

A nicely decorated hotel with a young, cool vibe. We loved staying at the L7. Our room had amazing views, was always really clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful and we didn't have any issues to understand each other. We once crossed the cleaning lady and she was really sweet! Also the amenities provided (gel, etc) were top-notch. Location it's really good to explore this vibrant, young neighborhood and there are plenty of things to do within walking distance to experience Seoul like a local (bars, clubs, shopping, etc). The hotel is also really well connected to the rest of the city via the Metro (line 2; the ring) and bus stops nearby. We wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Even if you're a guest, you still have to pay to access the pool - in Europe it's standard that the room price includes access to all hotel facilities. The breakfast wasn't really good value for money as the buffet lacked variety.
