B-Ks Premier Motel Palmerston North

We were earlier than expected but checking in was no problem. Thumbs up to the young lady on reception - very friendly and welcoming. Also appreciated how she was happy to answer ALL of my questions :) The room was very clean and the bed was ultra comfortable. The outside temperature dropped later in the evening but the room was nice and cosy. Even though the motel is on a main thoroughfare and there were other guests, it was really quiet :) The location was great for us too as we were in town for a speedway meeting.... just a stone's throw away.

The only real thing that disappointed was the lack of live sports channels.... delayed coverage sucks as you have to stay away from other media forms (radio, computers etc) so you don't hear the scores. The main game (ABs vs RSA) was ok as it was set to play early in the morning.

Room had everything you need, we'll laid out and the two comfy chairs to watch tv and the balocony are added bonuses not often seen in hotel! Friendly staff and even had the choice of plunger or dolce gusto coffee in the room. Lovely place to stay.

While appreciated the availability of the heatpump, I had hope there might be a spare blanket available - it wasn't that cold since there had been afternoon sun so I think a blanket would have been fine without the need to used a heatpump. Location is close to stadium (?) with stockcars or similar on, which was loud-ish, but it was finished not too late so sound wasn't ongoing.

If you're needing a great place to stay that is not too much of a walk for town plus been geat vale for your $. You get an extremely comfortable bed and one of the biggest Tvs I have seen in a room. For those who like to refresh themselves, the bathroom is nice and big and shower had very good water pressure. Staff are very friendly and alway willing to help make your stay better as they go the extra mile and above and beyond. They have meet our expectations. 😁

The one downside is there is a bowling center right next door, so you can get a bit of noise from time to time. But, the room does a good job at keeping in the noise. Also, from time to time, there's some events that are held at the events center across the road.

The whole process from start to finish was the most stress free experence and stay ive had anywhere in a long time and the location is perfect for everything you need to do in the manawatu! The rooms were really top notch one of the best ive stayed at so much space loved it and soooooo quiet!

The spa bath and the lazy boy chairs were awesome. Nice filtered coffee and linen too.

where the water comes out of the bath I could see hadn’t been scrubbed for quite some time it’s a hard place to see but it was full of grime. The walk up stairs and right down to the other end was a little frustrating with all of our stuff would have been easier if the other side was able to be accessed.

The staff were great, very accommodating and very warm people. The room was great, decent size and bed was super comfy. Spa bath was great of course and easy to use. Liked that there were movies available to watch for free also! Was awesome to relax and watch a movie at night!

Everything except the broken Nespreso machine and the HVAC syste controls that were confusing me, making it difficult long process to establish comfortable sleeping environment.. Thanks to many blankets, pillows and comfortable bed, I managed to get sufficient sleep, but my nose was very cold by 0630 .

The broken Nespreso machine, though plunger coffee was a sufficient option... Overall a very good motel.

It was a great place to stay close to the main part of town and very quiet. They have double glazing so it was warm. The bed was really comfortable The coffee machine was a bonus too. The lazy boy chairs are a great addition for watching TV. The heat pump was good just to take the chill off didn't need it on all night

Could have had a throw over the end of the bed for extra warmth

The location - town was at walking distance. Activities were right next door & the speedway across the road The room & grounds were clean & tidy.

I didn't like how small the kitchen was & the utensils need an upgrade. The space in our room was minimal. Felt cramped.

Great place. Friendly staff, nice room, great balcony, water pressure was fantastic, loved the lazy boy chairs, nice capsule coffee machine with instructions.

Not enough soundproofing. Flood light from building next door was on all night each night but curtains were good at blocking light.
