ASURE Destiny on Fitzherbert Motel

The two bedroom unit was spacious and spotless. Furnishings are bright and stylish. The spa bath was a treat. Within walking distance of the plaza. Highly recommend.

The photographs and description that Booking.com advertised were for a unit with a queen bed and a single bed. Upon arrival, the manager took us to a different room with a queen bed and a 'sofa bed'. When I showed the pictures advertised on Booking.com, the manager was kind enough to let us have the two bedroom unit, as the advertised unit was not available. However, he said the price we paid was the cost of the room with the sofa bed. The manager said he would work out the additional costs with Booking.com. We had also previously requested a ground floor unit because my parents are elderly and find it difficult to climb stairs. This request had been confirmed as available, so thankfully, we were given the two bedroom unit as it was on the ground floor. The other units were upstairs.

Very comfortable, immaculately clean. Nice to have a comphy chair to rest and watch TV instead of the usual bed situation we travelers face when booking a studio. The desk area was the perfect place to set up laptop to finish up some after hours emails was appreciated as well. Will stay again

I was fortunate enough to have a neighbour that increased in snore volume around 2.30 am which worked well as a super early wake up call. I was definitely not late to work, thank you neighbour.

the rooms have been renovated beautifully, there was designated carpark for each room so you didn’t have to worry about parking, the beds were very comfortable! the check in and out process was really innovative, no reams of paper work just a text with your room number and Wi-Fi password on the day and you entered a code for your room at the door to get your key then drop off before you leave.

Very prompt in communication as we had a same day check in as the day we booked in. The room was very spacious and clean! Love the self check in with the lock boxes (especially being able to leave the key in the lock box while away for the day, eliminating the possibility of losing the key). Amazing spa bath and huge shower with awesome water pressure! Easy to use kitchen with all of the necessities available! And a very fast internet connection.

We loved everything about this property. The room had a kitchenette, a total bonus. We had everything we needed. The decor is lovely as well. The location was awesome, just a quick walk into the shops and the main square. Definitely recommend. Netflix was also available, bonus. We stayed in 4 properties on our 10 day trip and this was the best one.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived but it was not a big deal as we were able to go for a walk into town for half an hour.

Self contained unit, great for a small family or friends group...especially if you were keen to prepare meals. Towels were nice and soft. Easy self check in, details sent by text shortly before the check in time. Brent was quick to act when we had no milk in our fridge, thank you.

There is no spa bath, advertisement is incorrect and was the reason we chose the property. Did let Brent know, he said he will update the booking.com ad. Would have appreciated some compensation from either booking.com or Destiny on Fitzherbert.

Very easy check-in, lovely room, everything comfortable. I was not sure if room service was included, so we made our bed ourselves in the morning and it was not touched by room service, which I personally really appreciate! Everything else was done, fresh towels every day! Thank you very much, we will be back!

I like the interior style most. its extremely elegant and charming. I believe the owner invested a lot of efforts in interior design. I think he made the right decision, and it leverages the brand and standard of the motel. Although it is a small motel, it is one of the best style I have ever had! location is great. only a few mins walk to Pak n sav. finally, self check-in is very handy as our check it was really late .

the size of the room is bit small for a family of 4.

I travel a lot and have never given a motel exceptional for everything but this motel actually was exceptional in every way. Location, staff, comfort, decor, cleanliness, bed and pillow comfort, housekeeping... all brilliant..

There really was nothing bad, not many Sky channels worked but they did have Netflix loaded onto the TV so not really a problem.

Nice clean facilities, beds were very comfortable, lovely linen and bedding. A very practical set- up quality facilities. Seems to be very popular.. Will definitely stay there again if i go back to Palmerston North. Close to all Amenities and easy to find.
