The Gallivant Hotel

Everything - from the ample parking space to the service and the rooms. It’s my second time staying here between a span of two weeks. Noise: It can be noisy for some when people are walking back to their rooms or upstairs move things around their room or when the nearby mosque prayers start in the early morning hours. Room: The blinds are not black out but since I’m a light sleeper and need absolute dark and silence, I bring my ear plugs and eye mask everywhere so I’m alright. Bathroom: Read some reviews and came prepared twice- brought my own hand soap and soap bar and hairdryer since I like my own. A bit over the top but we brought detergent to clean the cups as well. Hotel provides body wash and shampoo. Water: There is a water dispenser by the elevator on each floor. Super convenient! Location: We walked less than 10 mins to the next street to Q for the Siam Road char kuey teow but if you walked further you’ll be in the foodie area.

Dusty areas, especially the top bit (shelf) of the ‘cloths rack’ - i had to wipe it down three times. Blood stains on bedsheet is a no-no and again I tend to bring extra cloth to lie on so it doesn’t bother me overly much except it looked kinda..fresh-ish yuck.

Environment surrounding the hotel is confortable and bright. Not a big room, but overall is clean and tidy. I like the shower much! Hahaha..water "power" were so strong! And we did enjoy those movie provided from the hotel.. Nice experience!

Non Just didnt see any decoration for my friend's birthday, a little disappointed, been told customer service from Booking.com, maybe some miscommunication from our conversation, but is ok. Small matter. The room and everything are still great!😍😍😍

Very nice hotel. Fancy building. Water station on the 1st floor. Good air conditioning.

Slightly far out of the main action of George Town but still walkable

The Staff namely Ms Quah who helped us with the check-in and out was very welcoming cooperative and helpful. Guided us on the nearby attractions too. Onsite parking was available FOC and the guard at the parking bay was very attentive too. Not to mention the front desk guy working during night shift was also very cheerful. Wifi was working well too. Recommended for people who just wants hotel to relax fresh up and get going again to explore the island.

The car park is available on-site. There is a vending machine in the parking lot. Check-in was smooth. The air cond in the lobby was cold and I really liked it because the outside was really hot. The staff was friendly. The hotel is very clean. Water filters are provided on every floor. The water pressure and heater were very good. The bed is comfortable. The room was very clean. Air cond is cold. The hotel is still very new and kept clean. I hope they will maintain and continue to keep it that way. Overall, i highly recommend this hotel.

There are no shops/food available nearby OR maybe I am not aware. The room was a bit smelly perhaps coming from the toilet but it didn't bother me much after opening the window to let fresh air in and put in an air freshener. Only 2 pillows were provided. Would be great if they could provide additional pillows. But their bed and pillows are very comfortable and clean. The room and toilet are a bit small but it's alright since I don't spend much time in the room. The soundproofing was bad as I could hear people talking outside and sounds from the other rooms.

Accessibility thru using Grab App to reach a certain place and order food. Prompt housekeeping and pleasant staff. Penang Tourism pamphlets are ready as guides on where best to go. Love the Netflix availability and that is thumbs for me. Thanks.

No fridge in the room. I like the common area but would have been best if the cafeteria or restaurant is ready to serve however it is not available. The food we bought is secured and placed in the common fridge with a lock which is great. No room for 3-4 pieces of luggage. Be creative to maximize the space.

Centrally located, newly built hotel with cosy and clean rooms. Ideal for business travellers or even those who wish to explore Georgetown. Definitely will come back to this hotel again.

minimalist, clean and alot of reduced material like water bottles. room was clean and bathroom design to be as space efficient as possible. lighting was nice but could be better. smart TV selection is good with netflix available and YouTube can be connected to phone.

1. water dispenser is at level one only, troublesome to move up and down floors to refill water, having refillable water dispenser at every level would be nice. 2. the bedroom lighting could be better especially the bed lighting at headrest, it feels cheap because it feels like one strip of led covered with a diffuser for the light to diffuse upwards to the ceiling. maybe add more layers of led as the lighting feels narrow.

Nice environment. Helpful staff. Definitely will visit again.
