Hotel Ristorante Stampa

Beautiful hotel with real beautiful view of the Lugano lake. We booked the room with a lake view and were not dissappointed, The room was big and comfortable and the balcony was bigger than expected. But the real treat were the employees - seems like they realy enjoy what they are doing. The lady at the reception, I think her name was Rossalva, was kind and helpful with recomendations. The restaurant's stuff - Roberta, Abdel Jaber and Chef Moustafa (sorry if I mispelled) went out of their way for my sister and I to be happy.

We needed to go to our car after 11pm and couldn't find the way out since the reception was already closed. We were also surprised to find out there was a construction site just in front of our room - it didn't disturb the view of the lake but still, they started working at about 9 am, making noise. I would have liked to know about this before making the booking. Breakfast could have been better (not much choice of vegetables and fruit and no toaster to toast the bread).

The staff of the hotel and restaurant were very helpful and kind, the service and meals were great!! The view from the room/balcony was amazing! Very clean and nice helpfull cleaning stadf. Also a very nice swimming pool with beds. Everything was very clean and the location is perfect for day trips around the area. Private parking was available. We stayed for two nights since we were travelling ahead but can recommend a longer stay because of the location.

The room was a little bit on the small side perhaps but that was maybe only the case because we had a dog aswell. On the other hand you don't need to be in the room with this balcony with view, restaurants and surrounds!

What a view! We got a room with a balcony and a view to the lake and it was worth it! The hotel was nice and tidy, the staff was very friendly and the food was amazing, obviously made with quality products. And the view from the restaurant could not be better. There was a terrace and a pool, both with a view to the lake, free parking.

The serpentine road to the hotel was very steep, but the view we got up top was worth it.

Stayed in this hotel for just 1 night with my wife and 2 kids, I took the family room with 4 beds. I arrived in the evening hours so I could not really see the environment. I was surprised that the restaurant was still open. We took the opportunity and ordered some pizza's. The pizza were delicious. In the morning hours I entered the balcony to take a look outside, The view was amazing!! You could see the lake without any problems. The breakfast works this way, you need to select a day before what you want for dinner, there are different things to select like cake, croissants, eggs and spread. This will all be offered in the morning. Taste was excellent. Unfortunately the stay was just for 1 night. I will come back here definitely.

We booked a superior triple room and can highly recommend for good size room with extra bed in separated area. Very clean and comforable, great balcony with stunning view! Nice pool and sun terrace with same stunning view. Good breakfast and excellent restaurant for evening meals. Onsite parking.

Better hanging rails for towels in bathroom, AC a little noisy when you're trying to sleep

Spectacular view of Lago Lugano from the room and balcony. Nice modern room with air condition. Good breakfast and tasty dinner with wonderful view. The pesto pasta was the best pasta i have ever tasted.

A little bit challenging communicating with the hotel staff in English. Some noise at the pool due to construction work next door and maintenance work at the hotel.

The Pizze had grown bigger but the toppings were rather too spread out. Some details of the new rooms were lacking - no toilet roll holder, no hook for hanging anything up, no tea bags or coffee in the room. The breakfast buffet needs to be better re-stocked and more physically spread out for the number of people trying to access it.

Family run hotel in the hills overlooking Lago di Lugano. Our quadruple room had a beautiful, large terrace overlooking the lake. The (very good) restaurant, bar and swimming pool have equally stunning views. Many activities nearby (if you have a car, reception kindly gives you a list of things to do: boat rides, beaches, markets etc.), friendly staff, 1h drive from the Gotthard tunnel. Excellent value for money, would definitely stay again!

Details: the bathroom was a tiny bit small for four persons, and the air conditioning needs calibration (freezing at night when set a 25*C). But again: details, overall very good.

The Staff is kind and gentle, the restaurant is top class and the food is exceptional. The menu is full of options and the breakfast is also generous served. Once again, the Staff is unbelievably nice. The room is super clean! Well done!!!

All good. I would have taken my own pillow though because I found it too low. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. I had indeed a very pleasant stay.

Very good breakfast and the view from the hotel was awesome. The owners and personell where very friendly and flexible, for example when we needed breakfast very early in the morning. Nice pool- and lounge area. Food was good.

No more restaurants close to the hotel so if you don't want to take the car for dinner it's only the hotel restaurant available.
