Swastika Bungalows

A clean Balinese style hotel that is a short walk to the beach and all the food choices. 3 beautiful pools. The rooms were a good size and the bed was huge and comfortable. Beautiful gardens.

more breakfast choice would be great, but just walk anywhere for a great Breakfast.

Pools - having 3 different pools to choose from is always a bonus - if one gets busy (which is rare) there is always another to choose from. Breakfast - plenty of fresh fruit to choose from. Eggs or pancakes on demand available and the staff are always amenable to special requests. Setting - the gardens are lovely, the rooms are great (it is not a built up complex) and being close to the street but far enough away to not have any noise is fantastic.

We have stayed at Swastika many, many times. It has never disappointed and did not disappoint this time. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are excellent. Breakfast is great, and the pools are sparkling. This was the first time I have travelled there alone since the death of my husband. As a woman travelling alone, I felt at home and very safe. Big hugs and thanks to all the staff and thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.

This is the most welcoming friendly place you could ever stay at. I had last stayed with them 7 years ago & they remembered me. I had first stayed 36 years ago, & there are staff who date from that long ago, a sign of a good & happy place to work. It has become much larger than it originally was, but lost none of its charm. Beautiful gardens, 3 swimming pools, & updated rooms. My room, which I chose, had a private balcony & a beautiful view. The room itself was large & airy with a dressinroom & bathroom with bath & rain shower. The room which I had previously stayed in & loved, had been altered in order to give it a bigger bathroom. I was not as happy with it, so I was taken to look at other rooms, & moved with the greatest of ease. They put on a complimentary evening of food dance & music whilst I was staying, which was an added bonus. Swastika is a short walk to Sanur beach with plenty of beach front restaurants. They will provide transport to & from the airport for a small fee. I was travelling alone for the first time since my husband died, & it was the best place to start doing this. Due, I think, to their frienly attitude, they seem to attract equally friendly guests. I met some wonderful people whilst staying there.

The Swastika exceeded my expectations in every way! It's very much old-school Bali accommodation: set in lush, tropical gardens (meticulously maintained every day), the bungalows were spacious, very clean and well-equipped. The bed in ours was one of the biggest I've seen in decades of world travel! There are three gorgeous, sizeable pools on-site, and the breakfast (included) was delicious: try a pancake made to order with chocolate-sauce swirl art! (Note: the breakfasts here aren't as sumptuous as those in big resorts... but they definitely pass the test.) When we stayed, the on-site spa was just about to reopen after having been shut during the pandemic: I can't wait to try it when I return (hopefully very soon!). The Swastika staff were bend-over-backwards helpful, and always cheerful and engaging: wonderful people, the lot of them. I can't heap enough praise on this place: whoppingly recommended!

3 pools were beautiful, breakfast was good, room was huge and location of room to pool was perfect

bathrooms could do with a refresh but we’re still clean . wifi within the room was hit and miss .

balinese gardens to wander in + 3 swimming pools so enough space for all! just a short walk to the beach, and on the main street with shops and restaurants but in the backyard of a restaurant so not noisy

Beautiful gardens, very spacious grounds, cool refreshing and clean swimming pools. Traditional style architecture. The staff were very courteous, attentive and friendly. Breakfast was very acceptable with fruit , an egg/pancake station, great coffee. The room (I was in a standard category room) was very spacious with a huge bed. Very basic but clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Bed was very firm and pillows were bad. The room towels were old and very small, no hand towels. The room could do with some art on the walls, to give the room some character.

This was our very favorite accommodation in all of Indonesia. It was clean, comfortable, quiet with a brilliant staff and impeccable facilities. Would 1000% recommend! Also, and I can't stress this enough, locally owned.
