Klumpu Bali Resort

I loved the feeling of being 'somewhere', not just in any hotel. Staying at Klumpu felt likea taste of Bali and what Bali has to offer. What a gem. I am so glad we found it. The serene grounds are beautifully landscaped with winding paths amidst typical Balinese statues and frangipani trees. Each villa is exquitely appointed, clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable. The free Breakfast was as visually stunning as everything else around. Staff are friendly, prompt and very helpful. I loved the free use of the bicycles. The massage was a wonderful touch.

From the welcome drink & dessert, evening delight, to welcome massage and free airport transfer, every detail was well thought! The staff are so welcoming, pleasant, polite and service minded, that we felt home right away. We especially loved the breakfast - so many varieties with highest quality and taste! It doesn’t take long to walk to beach, and the free bikes (with helmets available) are really handy if you wanna take a quicker path to the supermarket or beach. I also loved the chat via WhatsApp - all services can be ordered and all questions can be answered without leaving the room!

The two single beds upstairs in the loft apartment are a bit hard - I got some pain on my back. On the first day we found some dirts or something in one of the small beds, but it was cleaned up right away when we reported it. Otherwise in general the room was very clean, as well as the garden.

Very cute and warm feeling place to stay, it is very unique with traditional Balinese hospitality. Excellent and friendly staff exceeded the standard of excellence, fantastic food from the menu and the included breakfast, The property has a great layout with privacy and charm that makes you feel very relaxed. The amenities provided and massage are some of the best we've had in Bali and Sanur. The little surprises they provide are sure to make your stay amazing and leave you feeling refreshed, spiritually and mentally. Fantastic for families and all types of people. We will definitely return and would recommend Klumpu resort to anyone we know or meet!

The bed was a bit firm for our liking, but still very comfortable. The fridge was full of delicious mini bar items and left little room for personal items(could use a second or bigger fridge but we managed fine in the end). The upstairs loft had single beds and was not that useful. (Again a personal issue, some would love it with older kids). All complaints are personal choices and we had to sit and really think about what I didn't like.

We were very happy that Klumpu is small - eight villas. Easy access to the pool via your door. And that we had more than enough space to enjoy meals in the dining area, in our room or on the porch of our villa. Location is perfect to the beach, shops and cafes of Sanur and the night market (which we highly recommend). Staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and they often helped us with improving our limited Balinese. Food could not be faulted. We did try and make sure we were there for 4pm poolside afternoon tea. We will go back.

We were on our honeymoon for two weeks in Bali and stayed at several places, but this place was the best place of them all! We were greeted with an amazing drink and a cold tissue when we arrived and were very well informed about the accommodation. We ordered a lot of room service and it all tasted delicious. Their local dishes were very tasteful and the breakfast was beautiful and you were able to order anything you wanted. The room was so beautiful and comfortable. Unfortunately, we were sick one of the days, but the amazing room service and their great selection of movies saved us!

We really like its incredible atmosphere and privacy that Klumpu Bali Resort offers. Staff was always very polite and helpful in every way. The Villa was very clean, spacious and cleaned twice a day. Pool area was also beatiful and great. A complimentary afternoon tea with the dessert was veeeery nice as well as afternoon's sweet surprise in the room :) Breakfast could be ordered to the terrase via whatsup which was really comfortable. Location is really good - close to restaurants, car/motorbike rent, shops and beach as well. Everything was just few steps away. Everything and everyone there was perfect. Thank you for an exceptional stay, for us it was just top experience. It is a piece of paradise!

The staff were very polite and attentive from the moment we booked. The free airport transfer is a great perk and our driver Butu was lovely. Everything was absolutely perfect at the resort, with lots of thoughtful touches, like a welcome sign. The room was gorgeous and spacious, staff so friendly and welcoming, there was a wide choice for breakfast and all delicious, the garden and pool also just gorgeous! It's just a quick walk to the beach too. We had an amazing stay and didn't want to leave. We miss it already!

The rain shower was slightly weak. Everything else was perfect.

So private and away from the busy streets. The staff were wonderful and the rooms were just beautiful. We also loved the cute chocolate and water delivery each night and the filtered hot and cold water in the rooms. Made cleaning our baby bottles so simple. The temperature of the pool was unbelievably pleasant and the grounds so carefully looked after. The staff would go out of their way to make our stay perfect and the food was incredible. Loved being able to borrow a bike and go for a ride down along the beach, such a great bonus. Massages were also highly rated! Definitely planning to return in the near future!

Nothing overly concerning but the shower temp was unpredictable at times. Was also concerned that they didn’t make cocktails initially, however, it turned into a blessing. It made us explore lots of beach front restaurants and resorts each evening which we loved doing. Sanur is such a wonderful area.

Everything from the room to the massage to the gorgeous pool was amazing. We wanted one last night in Bali to be special and the staff here knows how to do that. They've obviously been trained well.

We had seriously heavy downpours while here so our evaluation of the pool and grounds is limited. It looks beautiful and I'm sure it would be perfect in good weather. No fault of the hotel, of course, but the nearby beach is not what I would call a swim beach. Fun for walking along, though. I would call the hotel food good but not superb. There are plenty of options fairly close by, however.

It is a very lovely place. The pool area, the scenery and the lights, is sublime and dreamy at night. We enjoyed just soaking in that pool. The staff were very attentive and trying to provide what is asked. The toilet bowl stopped working but it was fixed during the time we went out. Each unit is on its own, which makes it feel quite private. The breakfast is a nice spread. we liked Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng. Since we went with our own taxi on the way in, a ride to the airport was provided, which saved a lot of trouble. In house massage is convenient.

I don't think this is really the fault of the resort, but the format is all the units are designed to face one common pool. If neighbour's children really enjoy using the pool area, their excitement will be at your earshot all along the session. There is no escape even if the doors/curtains are shut. Of course the children are the future and one should teach them well and let the lead the way etc but... If the children at the pool happen to be very energetic, it can last a few hours and you might have to plan an unplanned outing. Breakfast: it would be great if there are more grain bread than pastries in the continental and frozen mango in the fruit bowl (forgot the name) is a bit too cold for breakfast.
