Hotel Kaiserhof

The reception staff were the best we have met for a long time. Welcoming, pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, they even anticipated our needs. Location near the middle of Muenster. Parking on-site. Whenever it was last upgraded/decorated, it was done with the best possible materials. It looked new. Pieces of period furniture and wonderfull lighting. Excellent room with plenty of hanging and shelf space. Large bed. Bathtub in the bathroom. Fridge. Large TV with English language programs. Breakfast very good. Buffet cooked food much better than usual. Restaurant staff very helpful and welcoming. When in Muenster you should stay here.

Pity that they only have one slow lift. On two occasions got the last space in the main car park, although there is another small car park over the road

- In exchange for not having room service, the hotel offered two free drinks (either in the bar or for in the room). Since we only stayed for two nights, this was a nice option. - The room was quite spacious (we had a free upgrade to a deluxe room).

- The main complaint we had was the WiFi stability. In the bed room the WiFi would keep disconnecting every few minutes, making it impossible to watch any videos. - The bed was missing some bigger cushions, due which you could not really sit up in the bed. The bed also had a big gap in the middle. - The room did not provide any coffee or tea, only a bottle of water. - The check-in time is a little bit late, from 15:00. We could not check in earlier as the room was not ready yet. However in most hotels you can check-in at 14:00.

Very central, just across the street from the central train station. Good room size. Exceptional staff. We went to Münster to enjoy both the city and the countryside and brought our own bicycles. The hotel did everything to make our stay as enjoyable as it could get, provided a safe space for us to leave our bikes at.

Some (absolute minor) things are a bit outdated. Like the elevator built in the 50s sometimes has a hard time remembering at which level it is or the yellowish telephone next to the bed where everyone would expect a power outlet.

The location was brilliant right opposite the train station and ideal to nip to get a coffee or some breakfast elsewhere. The best part was going to Starbucks 5 minutes across the road.

Unfortunately myself, my partner and my dad & step mum wasn't going to pay nearly €20 a day for breakfast. It simply just wasn't justifiable for us to afford to do that. We was under the impression breakfast was included in our bookings. The room could have done with some more pillows for the bed, but I know I should have asked at reception. I don't understand why there is never any tea/coffee making facilities in any German or Dutch hotels which should always be a necessity in all hotels. It's just more convenient and refreshing to have those options in all bedrooms.

I liked my single room, everything was really clean and you got a window which you could open for fresh air. There is air condition for the room which was handy for a super hot day in summer. Location is great is right next to the train station. The noise level was acceptable, but the hotel provide ear plugs in the room, which I thought it is a very thoughtful gesture.

Because of my arriving and departing time, I was not able to check out the wellness and their sports facility, which it is a missed. I wish the facility opening hours could be a bit longer.

This is our fifth visit and as ever the staff and general ambience of the hotel was fantastic.

The only issues I have are a) the intermittent Wi-Fi connection - the Wi-Fi has a habit of cutting in and out - and b) the size of the lift - not a bad thing if exercise is needed, but a fifth floor room is challenging when the carriage of luggage is needed.

The room is quite big with comfy beds. Heating, when turned to max, worked like the pipes were running directly from hell, so tried to set them to minimum just to compensate fresh air income through the slightly opened window. Breakfasts were quite diverse, as well as the dinners (steak was just freaking awesome!). The staff was very friendly and english-speaking.

There was a bit of spider web in the top corner of the room and the towel rack was dusty in the sections where nothing was hanging for some time. Also, there's no way to enter the building without having to climb the stairs (haven't tried car parking side though), which is not really comfy having a stroller with a 5-month-old baby.

Nice hotel, with very nice staff. They were very kind to us and to our pet.

Small room for three people. It wasn’t a “triple” room. Probably a good double with three beds. We were pretty tight. Moreover, the location is very close to the center but the area is very dirty and poorly attended. If you have heavy baggages there is no way to get them to the lobby without making a big effort, cause there’s steps to climb to enter the location. Which is pretty annoying. No slides, no bell boys to help you.

the Wi-Fi in my room was spotty every day, all the time. I told the staff and they said they would report it. I stayed 4 nights and it never got better

Very friendly staff, very clean, excellent location.

If you are in a room opposite train station it can be noisy with window open. Best to request a room on other side which is quiet. Also could have had a slightly bigger duvet. It was a single on a nearly double bed. However if I had asked for bigger I am sure it would have been provided.
