Hotel Strasbourg - Montagne Verte & Restaurant Louisiane

The hotel was easy to find along the bike path, and the location was quiet. Everyone working at the hotel — front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and kitchen staff—was exceptionally kind and helpful, which made a big difference in our experience. Also there were a number of thoughtful amenities. It was wonderful to arrive on a chilly, rainy day to find a hot water pot and English breakfast tea awaiting us. And there was a secure place to store our bicycles. The room was somewhat small (though larger than others in the area for the price) however, the space was efficiently used. Overall an excellent value.

Good situation 20 min walk to cathedral. Friendly staff. Allowed us to take bikes off car and store safely in hotel. Small but functional en suite twin/ double rooms with tea and coffee. Late checkout at 12.00 helpful.

Rooms are small and whilst each had a balcony door and shutters to let in air, there is no air conditioning. We were unlucky that it was a hot spell (32 C) and windless. But the rooms were resultantly very warm and sleep difficult. Parking is limited within the barrier controlled hotel car park so if one arrived late in the evening, one might have to empty the car completely and park on the street. Not a massive issue.

Very nice hotel . Great people at the reception always willing to help you or answer any questions you might have. The hotel restaurant is very good too , I had fish and chips one evening and it was delicious. Good menu for breakfast as well , fruits, bread , juice , etc . Location is great, the tram stop that you need to go and return from the city center is just like 300 meters away . Parking lot totally free and it has good size for many vehicles.

It's a little bit tricky to find the street that leads to the hotel if you are going by car . Other than that , everything was perfect.

Staff was very friendly no matter the language and we enjoyed our stay. We were happy with our choice and would recommend it. It’s in a residential neighborhood, easily reachable by public transport or on foot if you don’t mind a bit of a walk.

Of course you shouldn’t expect 4/5 star accommodation. Mainly, you just want to be aware that it’s a bit dated and they have no fan or A/C and you’ll hear the traffic when you open the window at night - it didn’t bother us too much and we had a pleasant sleep and stay nonetheless. If you are arriving on foot and follow apple or google maps, the gate in the back it directs you to doesn’t open - you’ll want to walk around the neighborhood to find the entrance. The WiFi is a bit hit or miss if that’s important to you and there’s no safety box in the room. If that’s good with you, I don’t think you gotta look any further.

Make no mistakes: the room is very small, just enough space to easily walk around the bed and little extra (I could bring my race bike up to the room). Distant traffic noise sounds like white noise, so not an issue sleeping with the window open (no airco). Nice varied breakfast in the garden, I think our teenage kids didn't even have to pay. Free secure parking and our dog was welcome at no extra charge. Fantastic shower! The city center is a 2km walk along the river.

It is no luxury hotel so some details are not perfect, but it's clean and cheap. Tap and sink are mismatched, it was quite difficult to wash your hands. Pillows are of the super fluffy no-support type, probably the only thing I really didn't like.

Nice hotel in a quiet residential area, with private parking. Essential yet comfortable and clean room. Variegated breakfast, a bit pricy but abundant si you might skip lunch afterwards 15-20 minute walk from la Petite France, depending if you follow the main road or prefer the cycling path along the river. There's also tram B nearby (replaced by bus these days due to road works), although we did not take it

They changed towels every day, even if we left them hanging. Not good of you have flyers promoting the care for the environment. Although the cycling path is right behind the hotel, there is no opening to reach it (except for a closed gate), so you need to circle the whole block

It's a small but nice hotel. Yes the room is small, but if you have traveled in Tokyo, this is just the same. Staffs and the owner are super friendly and helpful. There is heater in the room and works well. No frige but there is a electric kettle. With the price I really am happily surprised in this French big city. What's the best is, free parking and quiet residential area. They let us park the car there after checking out until we leave after noon. It takes four or five stops to go to city center and just 5 minutes walk to the station.

The only downside is showering. We stayed in room 3XX ,the fourth floor and the water was powerless.

The room was small but had everything you needed and was clean. The breakfast was 13 euros each and definitely worth it. There was lots of choice, not just your usual breakfast buffet. There is free parking because it is a mile out of town. Really easy to get into town, either a 30min walk along the river or a short tram ride (2.2 euros). We got tram to other side of town then walked through town and back to the hotel. The hotel was located in a housing estate but that works just fine.

The room was small but the price reflects that.

I was travelling by bicycle and this hotel was right by the Eurovelo 5 cycle track along the river, and not far from the historic centre of Strasbourg. It was very easy to find. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The in-house restaurant, with its quiet outdoor patio in the rear yard, was my preferred dining option while in Strasbourg for three nights. A safe place was available for my bicycle on the ground floor of the hotel.

I have no criticisms of this hotel.

Great neat place, very much feels like family owned. Great breakfasts with almost meditative atmosphere, enhanced with classic music and chilled sparkling wine ;) Hotel is not new but very, exceptionally well maintained. Cleanliness feels like of a new building.

One year passed but still a massive problem with absence of floor towel. The floor is very slippery after the shower. Getting out every time felt like defusing the bomb: one wrong move and you're done.
