Hotel Villa Taina

Nice hotel. Excellent food. Right in front of the beach. If you kite, you can gear your kite right in front!

Be careful, there are 2 buildings. One in front of the beach and the other one right next to the road. The one on the road does not have beach view, does not have elevator and can suffer from the road noise.

Check-in was no hassle, receptionists all spoke reasonable english (and several languages). All staff were very attentive and professional, everything was clean, facilities excellent and the beach and central location just amazing! Bar, restaurant and pool onsite and excellent food options next door and all along the beach! A great place to learn kite or wind-surfing (maybe next time) with everyhing needed onsite! We had a problem with the tv, and the repairman was there within minutes, though he got it working, the remote only controlled sound.. so without hesitation they replaced the tv with a better one and fully working remote. No surprises at checkout either. We did tip staff, though not required. They were worth it!

Breakfast was good, coffee excellent! A couple BBQ's each week was good, though tough to compete with prices right next door at Front Loops. A very popular and accessible spot that made for a great duo of facilities.

Breakfast buffet was good, nothing extra special Restaurant was very good most of the time. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The beachside location of the hotel, restaurant and bar is excellent. Great place to watch the kiters and other beach activities

The internet was a big problem. I stayed for several weeks during ongoing problems. Then upon leaving and trying to pay my final bill, the hotel’s charge system would not accept my bank card. A fiasco that had to be resolved with me arranging a wire transfer from my office in the US.

All together the Hotel Villa Taina is a one of the best locations for stay short- or longtime in Cabarete. The perfect access to the beach side with their own beach chairs is worth the money. If you get a room at beach side, would be lucky. But all the other rooms are okay too. The restaurant within the hotel is very good kitchen, the breakfast is huge and delicous. The a-la-carte menue is very good, only the size of the food getting smaller about the years.

The parking near the hotel is still a problem, during rush hours of weekend it's complicate. The local environment is still under bad conditions. All the footpaths on the streets are in bad conditions (they start to overhaul ... but never finished). The water quality of the beach of Cabarete is getting more bad over the years. The community investment in waste water management is still poor.

In the middle of Cabarete. On the beach. I was there with my brother for kitesurfing. Stumble right out of your room onto the beach. Pump up the kites and go. We each had our own room. Very clean. Made up everyday. We didn't have the rooms with a view by choice . But I hardly spend time in the room. The food at the restaurant Serenade was great. The people were super friendly. As well as the people from the Ion club. A week was too short 😎😊

The location was excellent with lots of good restaurants nearby. The beach was lively with lots of kite, surfing and wind surfing. Everything was very clean.

My room had a mouldy smell. Also, the patio door in my room did not lock properly. Since I was on the first floor, and a woman, travelling alone, this was worrisome. I reported both of these things to the front desk with little response.

The staff and food were great, the location is excellent

We had to move rooms the second day, there are no elevators, so if you have knee problems or can't do stairs, make sure you ask for a ground floor room, also you can not drink the water, make sure you have water at night as they don't have it complimentary in the rooms

Pros The location is absolutely perfect. The beach is right outside your door. The pool is very refreshing. The food at the restaurant is great. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you.

Cons. There is only one, the bed is extremely hard. Could definitely use some mattress toppers or something.

Excellent location in the town centre of Cabarete. Close to all bars, and restaurants, but calm at the same time. First line to the beach. Nice and friendly staff. Clean and modern while authentic at the same time. Very good breakfast. Windsurf and Kitesurf station.

There were little issues with wifi, and leakage in one of the rooms, but staff was helpful and everything was resolved very quickly.

very lovely staff especially Anselma, the lady from reception who was very helpful and cared a lot for me to be comfortable. Thanks a lot. the location is fantastic and the villa and its facilities are amazing, I totally recommend this place if u like to stay in Cabarete. lots of restaurants/cafes/banks/pharmacy/other hotels around
