Bus to Old Quebec at corner to hotel. 25 mins ride. also not to far from Mont Mormercy, Ike d’Orleans , The Canyon , The Aquarium & the Shopping Mall. Jean Marie from reception was extremely helpful with information about places not to miss and how to get around and catch the bus. By the way, having a kitchenette in the room , the metro & dollar store walking distance was also a plus.

Despite my booking way in advance, calling a few days ahead &early on the day of arrival requesting to have our room ready, it was not. we were even assigned a room number in advance. After 9 hours drive, arrived at 4:00pm. Had a peak at the room, cleaning was just going to take place. everything was upside down. The guy at reception apologized & asked us to wait instead of assigning a room that was ready for occupancy. After 25 mins of wait, requested the lady receptionist to provide us another room. We were exhausted of the long drive and on top of that, having to wait for a room. The property in general looks a bit run down. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable.

My husband and I were here for our honeymoon. We wanted something close to tourist activities, near bars and had a pool. Luckily, Hotel Universal is all of those in one package. We loved that Boston Pizza was attached to the hotel so you can go for drinks and enjoy yourself and not have the headache of finding a taxi. The pool area was very cool to be in, since COVID regulations there were scheduled swim times in which we liked so it wasn’t overcrowded like most pools would be. Only headache was that our key kept on deactivating and had to return four times out of the week to reactivate it (not really the hotels fault). Our AC in our room was really loud (fairly old) but actually helped since it blocks out the noise of the street and the other guests. The hotel was great for the price, fairly clean, great mannered staff, and all in all was great experience and will for sure be returning.

Parking was a little hard if you were out later. Due to the hotel being so big with so many rooms that means there’s so many people/cars in the parking lot, meaning there’s maybe one or two spots hopefully left at the end of the night.

was not far from train station and I loved the pool and sauna hot tub facilities great place to spend time and relax.

the views weren’t great. and construction on building starting at 7am were not appealing. plus the night club downstairs was not in good shape. needs a renovation. writing on walls. bathroom not nice. pool table with lots of stains. snd not all the right balls. felt very not well looked after.

Great hotel for short stays , family friendly, best pizza in Boston pizza , great indoor swiming pool , spacious rooms , clean but after check-in noone comes to the room in the following days to clean again due to covid ,yet you can ask for more towels from the reception , Emely the supervisor was very welcoming and professional at all times , vending machines available, in case you don't get a room with a kitchenette you can use the microwave near reception, a high quality coffee dispensing machine available next to reception too ,free parking available outdoor.

Affordable price for a spacious room, with free parking. The room was very clean and the installations were good.

Some rooms, such as the one I reserved, are located in a separate building, and you need to walk through the street to get to the main hotel building with all the amenities. That was just a bit challenging because of the harsh winter, so I needed to walk on the snow and cold weather to get to the gym ever morning or to use the spa and swimming pool.

Thought it came with breakfast, but it did not. We paid at for it at the Boston Pizza that is there on location. But at least we didn’t have to go out for it. We likes how it was accommodating for the children with the pool and able to order food to eat in the courtyard/pool area. Plus had the little park in front for the smaller children as well.

Clean, updated, comfortable, nice pool and hot tub, staff speak English and French, large parking lot, on bus route to downtown, we took the 807 bus at the stop across the road from hotel universal and we’re downtown in 15 mins.

Everything was great

the proximity to my partners conference, walking distance to many eatery and activities (grocery, food courts, jardin botanique, aquarium etc)

there was a semi empty bottle of juice behind the nightstand near the charging station missing soaps in bathroom but overall clean and comfortable stay

Pool!! But it's too small and sauna was dirty inside. The pool floor has sand. There is too many room but pool is so small. My dauther got hurt from other kids when she swam But was nice temperature water. I wish the make little bit bigger

The room air has smell. I can't change the air with window. And little dirty corner

The coffee machine not working and the front desk receptionist did not honor our request for late check out even if we booked for 2 rooms and just requested to late check even for 30mins-1hr for just 1 room.
