Applause Hotel Calgary Airport by CLIQUE

I liked everything about this hotel! Double desk area for one person to do work and a wife (me) to put on her make up and do her hair with a lovely big mirror, and plug for curling iron. I Would have liked a light above mirror but better than having to do everything in a bathroom when people need that room often. Lovely shower, and lots of lights in the room ,(except where I did my make up). Good size room, and quiet. Coffee pot, and kettle provided was wonderful. Breakfast was provided with price of room, on location, in the lovely restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Not even worth saying, but maybe a light close to second desk area for better lighting for putting on make up , doing hair . I always love a foot rest close to where I am sitting to put my legs up. I tend to pull a chair close to the bed and stick them on the bed. Those are small things when everything else was perfect!

This seemed to be a nearly new hotel. If it wasn't, it was recently remodeled beautifully. Being so close to a busy road and the airport, we were delighted to not hear any noise at night. Appreciated having a refrig, coffee maker with pods, and the electric kettle in the room. The free breakfast was of highest quality, and we liked having sit-down service off a menu. Everyone who works at this hotel is very friendly. And what we loved the most: the lights around the base of each bed. The color and intensity can be adjusted. Getting up at night to use the washroom was safer and more pleasant with our pale blue lighting near the floor. The inventor of this feature should get a prize!

It's too late for this suggestion to be considered, but we think it would be best if hotels didn't have their laundry facilities right under a dining room. Our table actually vibrated at times while we were eating breakfast. Our server explained why--and that it wasn't a precursor to an earthquake.

This property was close to the airport and had a 24-hour shuttle to the airport. We stayed there for three nights when we arrived in Calgary and also one night before we left after visiting Banff. Room was awesome - a deluxe shower and colored lights under our very comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great free breakfast was available every morning in their hotel restaurant - we also ate all our dinners in that restaurant - great food and awesome service.

Comfortable bed and amazing shower. Airport shuttle pickup was quick and easy. Our flight landed at 1am, the hotel shuttle came very quick. And next day morning we went again to the airport with the shuttle and they dropped us at the car rental place at the airport.

Breakfast is not like buffet type. They have 4 dishes in the menu for breakfast included. You pick one and they serve with your juice or coffee. We are family of 4, but they gave us 4 coupons and for my 16 year old 5’8 son they gave him the kids menu. We ended up buying breakfast for him from the regular menu.

Room was very clean and had everything one would need for an overnight stay before flying. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The lights under the bed!! Have seen in other reviews that people had trouble with these, and so did we! Why not have a simple switch to turn the things off? We never managed. Also 7am is a little too late to start breakfast at an airport Hotel. We arrived on opening, ordered but waited 25 minutes for the food- which was cooked to perfection, making it all the more disappointing that we could only have a few mouthfuls before dashing to get the shuttle bus.

The style of the property and their amenities are top notch. Shower is fabulous with a column that has body sprays, wand spray and a rain shower head with lots of hot water, and a tv in the bathroom.Perfect after a long days plane ride to relax. The hot sit down breakfast offerings via a voucher was wonderful. The room with its comfortable bed and pillows is large, with a useful min-fridge/freezer, coffee maker and separate kettle. Parking is free, the elevator’s size is ample, and a airport shuttle is available on call 24 hours.

We only spent one night at the Applause on our way to Mexico. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so we didn't see much of the hotel.But the rooms were gorgeous and well decorated, and so clean! Our bed was amazing. The staff were lovely. We will stay here again!

Our only complaint was that 2 days before our trip, we called the hotel to inquire about taking the shuttle at 5am to the airport. The lady said she would put us on the list. Unfortunately, she did not, and the shuttle was full. We ended up taking a cab, and still made our flight, so it all worked out.

When we arrived at midnight on a Sunday we were thrilled to find the restaurant still open and willing to serve us some food until 1 am!!! Breakfast the next morning was included with our room. It was cooked to order and fabulous! We had a choice of five items and both items I and my friend selected were delicious, hot and beautifully presented. We also want to add that all the staff at the hotel and restaurant were friendly and courteous.

We had a problem operating the Kurig type coffee maker. However, this may have been operator error. We did report it to the front desk and they promised to investigate.

The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds. The LED lights under the beds were a fun touch. The bathroom also had a very nice shower. The on-site restaurant was decent, and the location was only minutes from the airport which was nice and convenient. My favorite amenity though was definitely the rooftop hot tubs!

They don't make it very clear how to access the hot tubs so it can be a bit confusing. Also, in the morning, the service at the on-site restaurant for breakfast was very slow. Other than that we had a great stay!

Great hotel very near the airport. And if you like to gamble, you can walk to the casino...it's just across the parking lot. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is fantastic. We had to leave too early to sample the breakfast. The shuttle is available 24 hrs and both drivers were quite nice.

This is the tiniest thing: I had to do laundry, and the guest laundry room has only one washer and one dryer. BUT, the laundry soap was free. So really, no complaints. The hotel is great.
