Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Airport

The room was large with a comfy reading chair/ottoman, desk/chair, a very nice bed, fridge and coffee maker. The room decor and bathroom were updated and very clean. The continental breakfast was nice. The complimentary airport shuttle service was great; our driver Wayne was most cordial.

We booked the hotel because it had a pool and hot tub so that we could unwind and relax after a week of skiing before returning home. At 3:00 the pool and hot tub were being used by approx twenty children, non-guests who were there with British Swim School taking lessons. Swimming laps for exercise was not possible as there were too many children. And, the hot tub jets did not work…so no relaxation.

Everything went well except when we returned from a very long and exhausting trip we were stood up at the airport by the driver from the Hotel that was supposed to pick us up and take us to the Hotel. Something needs to change the driver didn’t check pickup point #17 if he had he would have seen us there with our luggage, the hotel should have given him our names that way he would have known to pick us up at pick-up point #17. We resolved the issue with a $30.00 taxi ride.

friendly and helpful staff

I did not like getting scammed out of over $ 300.00 dollars for a car rental booked through Booking.com. Showing up at the airport to find that my reservation was completely non-existent. I want someone to contact me and help me to get my money back. I received an email notifying me that my reservation had been cancelled long after I returned from my trip and that the cancellation fee was exactly equal to the amount charged to my credit card . I do not take kindly to this kind of treatment and promise that here will be serious consequences if I don't get reimbursed. Some one needs to contact me immediately. I honestly thought that Booking.com was a legitimate company.

Close to the airport. Lots of choice for breakfast. Good evening meal. Very comfortable beds. Air conditioning and ice machine. Friendly approachable staff. Also great that there is a bus shuttle service to the airport.

The door to the wardrobe was too small. For such a big room I expected more. Nowhere to put suit cases. I would prefer China cups or mugs and glasses rather than the single use disposable cups provided in the room.

Spacious and well-equipped room (with tea & coffee maker, a great bed, desk & office chair, and good wifi). Also a shuttle from and to the airport, with a free phone at the Information desk at airport arrivals to call the shuttle. And I had a great dinner at the in-house restaurant.

The free continental breakfast was fairly ordinary. But this didn't detract much from an otherwise pleasant stay.

I stayed with my partner and our young baby. We arrived ate at night and wanted to stay near the airport for the night. The shuttle from the airport was easy to use. Room was clean. Facilities were good (we sued the gym and the pool) and breakfast was good. Nothing fancy but did the job.

The hotel was a bit dated.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas. Nice pool and hot tub. Shower provided pool side to clean off before and after swim.

Pool bathroom had a very wet floor with no drain and smelled like pee. I believe it was because kids went in there and maybe pee mixed with the water on the floor. I refused to use it. There were not enough pool towels available. Also, speaker on the wall in pool area was not on....not a big deal but nice to have. Breakfast sausages were not good. Fatty and flat tasting. Looking forward to see plants and decorations in entrance return as renovations are completed. Quite empty feeling right now.

Being so close to the airport, u was concerned it would be noisy with the airplanes landing/taking off. But it was very quiet, I appreciated that.

Our room had a very large stain on the carpet. Made me worry about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The employee upon check in had a bit of an attitude with us.

Great people working at the Front desk when we arrived the evening of August 28th. The staff in the restaurant were so awesome. We will definitely be back the next time we stay in Calgary. I stayed in room 211 was so comfortable and spacious. Thank you to all staff for making our short stay such a nice experience 😊

Elevator on the right was not working to get to floor 2, they were waiting for repairs on it. Buffet was luke warm to cold. I don't know if it was by accident though and the warmer burners were off or just not working. Anyhow those two things were the only issue.

Loved the cruelty free toiletries as well as wall attached bottles with soaps, body wash etc. I think it’s amazing, more hotels should follow their example.

The king mattress was very soft, the second you moved the whole bed did as well, it felt like sleeping on a water bed, but the Queen mattress my friend was using in the adjacent room was good.
