The ease of checking in and out. The hotel was located in a prime area. The staff were great to deal with, especially when we didn't speak a word of French. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, tourist attractions. The room was very spacious. Bathroom facilities were mint. There was a fun fair happening just around the corner. We went to check it out during the night, ate some food. It was gorgeous stay, and we felt really comfortable at this hotel.

The bed was a little hard. Something we're not used to but in saying that, that bed was so huge. It was crazy. The gym was a bit small and needs better ventilation. After spending half an hour on the treadmill, it gets really hot in there because the space is so tiny. But this is just nit picking. The property is great overall!

Value for money, comfortable, good sized room, everything as you would expect for the price and location which is just beyond the central tourist district. Very pleasant staff especially housekeeping. Extremelyhandy for Brussels Midi. Good bus/train/tram links .

There are extensive building works directly outside the hotel which we totally understand are completely out of hotel control but the narrowed walkway outside the hotel is filthy/full of rubbish. I am sure the rubbish is not from hotel guests or staff but maybe the staff could 'do a McDonald's ' and clean/litter pick the area around the entrance and maybe 10 metres each way, it would make a difference. An up-to-date local map of area plus transport links from hotel would be very helpful. No ordinary teabags in room only fruit tea.

The room was clean and comfortable and there is a SPA. The location is just across the street from the railway station which is very convenient if you plan to visit other small cities like Bruges or Gent by train. The area is not the most posh, but you can walk to city center in 15 min or take a tram for about 5 min, and we found it quite safe even after dark.

There is a construction zone right outside the hotel, but there was no one working during our stay, so no noise, just a bit difficult to cross the street.

Helpfull and kind reception staff. Clean hotel, clean rooms. Even the elevators always smelled nice as they were just cleaned. Comfortable bed and pillows. The room and the bathroom was modern and big, specious. The gym was very nice, equipped with everything I needed for a regular workout. The little wellness was also good with a small jacuzzi pool and sauna. The hotel is close to Midi train station so it is very easy to reach from the airport by the airport shuttle bus.

There is a huge construcrion right in front of the hotel, which makes it difficult to call a taxi and also not a pretty sight. The area is next to the train station which is good for transportation but also on the downside the area is not the best. Lots of homeless people around so it doesn't feel safe walking around in the evening and pretty dirty. However the hotel itself is very clean and safe because the lifts require a keycard to access them.

Brussels Midi is a business district so food in restaurants is better and good value. The train station is a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel is modern inside with a beautiful outdoor dining area as well an inside. Rooms are quiet and very comfortable. Tea/Coffee making is provided and a fridge.

unfortunately road works right outside has made the area look like a building site. These works look like they will be ongoing for years to come. small businesses around the area have already closed, or perhaps never reopened after Covid lockdowns. This is not something the hotel can do anything about and they do their very best to assist. It’s still very off putting however and limits walking in the local area to just going to the train station.

The room was very spacious. There was lots of room with a sofa, a chair and a table off to one side. The bathroom was a good size with a huge bathtub. The wellness facilities were a great bonus in the hotel I especially enjoyed the steam room. The hotel is close to the train station and metro and tram stops which is really helpful.

The area around the hotel is going through huge renovations and it looked a little intimidating. We didn't get the breakfast as we felt it was overpriced compared to other options close by.

We arrived amid a power cut and having discovered that there was no way to drop off our bags from the car, drove to Gare du Midi, parked there, and wheeled our cases over. The building works outside the hotel are huge and if I'd have known that prior to booking, would have chosen another hotel. However, the staff worked very hard to make us feel welcome and this was appreciated on an extremely hot day. I have to say that it is a lovely hotel, and despite the fact that our air conditioning didn't work - even after getting someone to look at it - the staff do a great job. If the building work outside is ever completed, I would consider going back there again.

I think mention of the building work outside the hotel should be made more apparent. It really made our arrival very difficult. We won't go back until this is completed. This is a shame as it is a lovely hotel.

Breakfast was super nice, great variety with fresh fruit, veggies, quality coffe, tea and special jams, even the staple waffles. The bed is extra large and comfy, the only minus is the double duvet (though it was extra large, we still prefer single ones). The hotel's position (very near the Midi train station) is useful from accessibility point of view, besides the trains also airport shuttle buses depart from here.

The hotel's direct surrounding area is pretty run down and a road construction is going on right in front of the hotel. But we did get a nice room (upon requesting) facing the backyard which was nice and relatively quiet.

I chose the Mecure as I had stayed there on my first visit to Brussels in June 2022 and was very impressed. It's very convenient for the Brussels Midi station as it's only a 5 min walk. I got the Eurostar there and the train to Cambron-Casteau (station for Pairi Daiza zoo - my reason for visiting) goes from there as well, so the hotel is perfectly situated. Added to that the fact it is very comfortable, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is great (a lot of choice). I will be returning and the only reason I wouldn't stay at the Mecure would be because it was unavailable on the required date. If it's available, I will be staying.

I literally have nothing to type here, other than to type I have nothing to type. :-)

Our room was beautiful, perfectly clean, and had great facilities. We slept deeply in the lovely dark room and comfortable beds. The staff were really friendly and cheerful, too, and made us feel welcome and positive. The location is a short walk away from the beautiful parts of town and is near to lots of brilliant cafes and very close to the Midi/Zuid train station.

We hadn't realised we weren't booked for breakfast - our mistake, but we thought this was included with our booking. When we asked about it we learned that breakfast would be 22 euros per person, which we thought was too much for a continental buffet kind of thing, so we didn't have it
