Tower Inn and Suites of Guilford / Madison

This charming hotel exceeded my expectations. I had a very large, spacious room, comfy and well appointed, with a sofa and plenty of room for four people, even though I was on my own. It was very clean and pleasant. There was a charming little kitchenette, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a two burner stove. It was quiet. The location suited me well, as it was only about 1.3 miles to the Guilford Town Green, and the train station. There were restaurants and stores within easy walking distance.

I found it odd that despite the charming kitchenette, there was absolutely no kitchen equipment. There were no utensils, no plates or bowls, not even a can opener. A pot or two and a basic dinner set would have been welcome. Are people supposed to be traveling around with all their kitchen equipment? I was traveling by plane and train, and golly, I guess I forgot to bring a box of kitchen stuff. if you are expected to clean up after yourself, why was there not even a sponge and dish soap? I had to use my bathroom soap and washcloth to tidy up. What's up with that??? Fortunately, there is a Dollar Tree just a mile away, where you can get what you need.

I booked at one place by looking at room types and when I got there I was in the hotel next door. I guess they own both. I was okay with that but I do book by what I like I.e. a porch or balcony and location so I was surprised that I wasn’t staying in the hotel I chose. again it was okay I guess.

The suites were very spacious. The staff, after knowing a bit more info about our group, was kind enough to suggest locating us all together in an area where we felt like we were Royalty

The area we were located felt as if we were in the country while the city life was only 600ft away.

Convenience. Room was gigantic.

Water seems to pool in the lower lot on the parking surface during non-rain events. Loading/unloading vehicle and dealing with the water in the parking area was not pleasant. This is really a nitpicky item, but should be addressed.

The property is in a very convenient location. It is well situated, clean and easy to find.

There was very little by way of active staff around the place. Fortunately, apart from a delayed check in, it didn't really matter.

There was no breakfast.

I came with a trailer, there was no parking for long vehicles, had to find place to leave the trailer, this could have been pointed out in the information.

The room was very spacious with a very large bathroom. There was also a sofa and desk. it us also very close to the town center of Guilford as well as Madison.

The reception area could be a little tidier.

Size and amenities of room were good.

Room was not ready at check in time although we were accommodated with a different room

The room was spacious, probably twice the size of a standard hotel room with two king size beds plus a pullout couch, desk, kitchenette and large bathroom. Location was not far from highway but very quiet. With single story buildings and no shared hallways, it was a comfortable situation during pandemic. Very clean. We got a very good rate through Booking.com so excellent value.

No complaints.

The staff was not helpful when our laptop couldn't access the Tower internet. They said it was our computer. But, we just checked into a Best Western, and the laptop accessed the internet with no difficulty.
