The check in. I understand check in is at 3 but I arrived at 12.30 and politely asked if I could be prioritised. This was a agreed and I should return in an hour or so. Which I did. My room was not ready,again I understand staff are busy so I had a quick drink,my room was still not ready. I agreed to return at 3 with no argument,still a little perplexed why it could not be ready. I returned at 3 when my key was still not available,it was 3.15 before I got in. I have stayed on a few previous occasions and been looked after very well. This will not stop me staying again but as someone in the hospitality industry I know this could have been dealt with more professionally. See you all soon.

Really great location so close to the ferry terminal and right in the centre of everything in Ryde. Bed was comfy and the shower was decent. Easy check in process.

Not a lot of room to navigate the space, mostly a bed. The noise from the pub goes on until about midnight but as the room had a sea view it meant it was right on the main street so noise from other venues close by and people walking past meant it got quite noisy but on a weekend it should have been expected! No hair dryer but luckily I brought my own!

Easy check in when arriving right next to the hover port. The pub is really welcoming and hospitable. The entrance to our room was located at the top and we had a lovely sea view with Spin-nick tower in view from Portsmouth. We were shown the kitchen facilities which we were able to use if we wanted to cook. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to plug in our Google TV as well and use that in the room. Great use of the TV/Coffee facilities and overall in great location next to transport and other amenities.

Nothing to add here. Expected to hear night life on the weekend but didn’t at all affect us!

There is a difference between economic and cheap. This place is economic as in it doesn't cost a lot but it's not cheap as in the quality is not low. You get value for your money here and while things maybe small or basic, they are all functional and fit for purpose. We took two rooms here one single, one double, the difference in the price was reflected in what you got for your money, but both the rooms were perfectly habitable and comfortable. I took the smaller room and had no problem staying for a day. One big advantage you get here is something I have not seen even in bigger hotels and that was access to a dining room and kitchen. It was a big shared kitchen, very well-equipped with even some consumables already provided. In the kitchen, each room had its own locker containing plates and glasses. When the staff member gave us a tour of the kitchen and dining room during check-in I just nodded and listened to be polite with no intention to use it. But then when we came back from wandering around at 10PM and didn't find any acceptable food solution, we ended up buying stuff from the supermarket and using that kitchen. It was a lifesaver! I was able to sleep at night as the noise from outside was minimal. Checkout was as simple as dropping the key in a lockbox. Tip: When you get to the location that Google maps takes you, go to the bar and ask for the rooms, there is no dedicated reception for the hotel. But they found our reservation quickly enough and there was no issue in checking in. An additional tidbit. It was a very hot weekend when we visited and like

Warning: The hotel is right across the road from transport links including the hovercraft service which is great if you want to go somewhere but not great when you are in your room. The hovercrafts don't run at night so you don't get that noise when you sleep at night. The weather was warm so it was quite a problem to keep the window open because of the noise from the road as well as the hovercrafts.

Very easy check in,friendly helpful staff in the bar downstairs, great location, perfect for me for a few days. Had tea and coffee making facilities ,comfy bed,TV , great view

I should have asked for a room lower down as lots of stairs and I have arthritis in my knee and had a heavy bag. No hairdryer in room but I had one with me and also the soap dispenser was empty but I had some of my own so that wasn't a problem either

Friendly and helpful staff , clean and comfortable room,good facilities and great location. Needed hairdryer was sorted for us. No drink facilities but has latge kitchen and eating area for cooking which we did. Bed was comfortable and quiet on a night time.Great bar downstairs. Was a great base for our first visit to the Isle of Wight nice town and handy for the festival.

The guy who left his dishes in one of the sinks pure lazy as its self catering. Shared bathroom needed to go a couple of times but solution I would book room with bathroom next time.

The guy who showed me my room after official check in time was so helpful and friendly. The room was always nice and warm but I could change the temperature if I wanted. The room was lovely and big. The kitchen was massive and so clean. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was lovely. I had a brilliant time. My room even had a sink in!

There was an argument on the first night outside but that only happened once and not the hotel's fault. There was a clock on my mirror which I covered with clothes to sleep as it was quite bright and I could hear ticking which was distracting but I still managed to sleep and I am quite sensitive to those things.

it was in a great location, you can come and go easily as you have a key to the front door. There is a fully stock kitchen for you to use. You have a fridge for your room and there is crockery and ovens to use. We only stayed one night but if we were staying longer this would have been great for cooking for yourself.

the room was small but it actually didn’t matter to us. the tea and coffee is in the kitchen but again once we were there it wasn’t a problem.

Great location, lovely sea view. Because we were a large family group, the communal area was perfect. Very clean hotel. Would recommend the deluxe room as it was very reasonable and so much bigger and had kettle, tea & coffee in the room.

On the Friday evening there was very loud music playing which you could hear as the hotel is over the pub. It was a heavy metal band but it finished at 11.30, Saturday did have live music but was just a singer so you could still sleep through it

After the difficult situation which everyone has had with Covid restrictions l decided to take my elderly mother to the Isle of Wight as she had only ever been once and liked it . I spoke at length to the staff on the phone and they told me exactly everything about the room and facilities.I booked 2 rooms both were spotless and fresh

Quite frankly , if you were to come on the hovercraft from Portsmouth you literally descend off the hovercraft walk over the bridge cross the road and the pub is directly across from you and the accomodation is directly behind . The only issue anyone would have is there is no lift to the first floor bedrooms. My elderly mother got up and she has a walking stick !
