The location was great and we loved the modern style. Lovely continental breakfast. Fabulously designed and presented exterior and interior.

The property was available of a fraction of the price if we had booked on the day. The young lady who was our host was lovely but we paid quite a lot of money for our wine and drinks in the bar only to have the glasses from the first round left on the table whilst we drank our second drinks. There was a sun shade left on the table in view on the first table as you entered the bar which was a shame as the bar was beautifully designed.

We had the most amazing stay! The room was exceptional and extremely clean. We couldnt have asked for more from the room. The bed was the best bed we slept on, we would very much like to know the brand please! Check in was easy and hassle free. The next morning we had to shoot for work and the lovely lady (sorry didnt catch her name) done us a coffee to go and gave us a doggy bag. Was a beautiful way to wake up and made our stay extra special. We cannot wait to stay again and try a different room :) Being an independent travel agent I can confirm I will 100% be recommending this B&B. Thank you, Bethany

Beautifully presented from top to bottom. Accommodation well designed and thought through from a guest’s perspective. The fact that it has a bar downstairs (nice and quiet when we stayed) for the evening is a real bonus. Location is perfect to explore all the best parts of seaside Portsmouth and Southsea. The team there are great too!

Only thing I can think of - and no fault of the owners’ - is as the early awakening by bins being collected at the rear of the property, multiple bin lorries on the Monday morning particularly, and what sounded like cages being pushed around next door. Not a big deal for us, and we had elected to leave the double glazed windows open due to it being hot weather, but had we been looking forward to a lie in it may have been less welcome.

The attention to all of the little details at Beckett's was simply fantastic. Not only could I find nothing at fault, I was continually delighted by all of the little touches in my room, the cleanliness, the staff's helpfulness, the delicious food, and the delightful decorations. Truly top notch.

My one and only one suggestion is crucial: the sign out front needs to be legible from farther away than 5 feet. I stood across the street for 10 minutes panicking because I couldn't find your hotel. It was right in front me but the sign looks like a blank wooden box from 10 feet away.

We had dinner before going to the theatre and breakfast the next morning and the food was outstanding. Only one vegan option but it was lovely and the meat eater enjoyed the burger. The rooms were compact due to the size of the building but had everything you need. Good shower and comfortable bed. Really friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back again.

The rooms were quite hot even when it was cold outside. The restaurant/bar stays open until midnight and there's some noise from the music. The rooms are very close together so if you've got a late returning neighbour you hear the doors opening and closing until they settle down (not the hotel's fault but it was a bit of pain). Still, we slept well once everything calmed down.

I just loooove this place. I have stayed now 3 times and the customer service and food is always top notch. Last time I came with my friend who has GF allergies and they went to the shops in the morning to get her some bread she could eat; they accommodated freshly chopped veggies for the doggo; prepared me take away bfast as I was going for uni trip in the morning (not something they do normally so accommodated my request) and just in general always with a smile and ready to assist.

room 1 and /or 2 is quite noisy due to the bar music and chairs in the restaurant below. Not an issue if you are going to bed after the closing time.

The location is extremely close to the hovercrafts and only a short walk away from the historic Dockyard. The facility itself is a restaurant and bar, so there is music until late but as the room is well insulated against this you can only hear some muffled bass. The rooms are wonderful and very well decorated in a warm, industrial feel. The bathroom is more like a wet room and has heated flooring so even though it gets wet, the flooring dries this up within half an hour. Beds are comfy with fluffy pillows. The room has excellent heating! Added bonus is no key to the room, you just have a code to unlock the door. Breakfast in the morning was FANTASTIC. You have a choice of about 6 different options and they are all delicious (we were a family of 4 and stayed 3 nights) so we tried everything. We also recommend eating at Beckett's for dinner as they have an excellent menu of small plates/large plates which are delicious taste explosions and have an extensive alcohol/cocktail/mocktail menu. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay, breakfasts and dinners at Beckett's and would very much stay here again if we go to Portsmouth/Isle of Wight.

Nothing. This place is amazing!

The food including breakfast was excellent. We ate a light meal in the evening and it was very good. The bar was busy but the service was good. The breakfast was also perfect. The rooms had a high degree of utilty, nice and clean. Although there was no parking, we parked right on the road directly in front of the inn for (I think) £12 for 24 hours. And there was plenty of bays available mid afternoon when we arrived. The service was excellent - checked us in early, stored our bags because it wasn't check-in time yet and were VERY kind to our dogs. There is also a large open space for dog walking and exercise 1 minute away.

No place is perfect but its hard to come up with anything here. It was just such a pleasant stay.

The property is very welcoming cosy and comfortable. The check in was easy and everything explained well regarding your access code, wifi breakfast and any questions I had. The location is ideal for my work requirements being 5 minutes walk from the Hoverport. There is lots to do in the immediate area and Becketts food is delicious. The room was clean comfortable and had a lovely shower, perhaps a bit on the small side but it suited me perfectly. The staff are very friendly and I shall be returning for my third visit when next in the area.

Rooms were excellent. Small but really well appointed. Comfy bed. Good shower room with plenty of hot water. Very clean and comfortable. Pompy on reception was super helpful and gave us everything we needed to check in and be comfortable. As we were leaving too early for breakfast, we were given breakfast bags to takeaway. Overall a super place to stay.

Slightly tricky to find entrance. Parking 100 yards away on a main road but was free (by meter) during the hours overnight.
