Rockwell Colombo

Especially the employee carrying the suitcases was very polite and fast. receptionists were helpful. The room was big and had beautiful furnishings. The location was quiet despite being central. cleaning was good.

When we entered the room, there were deficiencies such as water and soap, but they provided very quickly. hot water did not flow, we had to take a shower with cold water. We could not report this as it was close to check out time. At night, the sound of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner was loud from the balcony, but it was not continuous.

Very helpful staff - thank you Kapil and Aruna for being so responsive! For me the location worked out well because I had work nearby.

The first room I stayed in had a noisy air-conditioner, and while I was upgraded to a larger room the air-conditioner in that one didn't seem to be working. But the staff helpfully gave me yet another room, and this one was comfortable. I noticed that a technician came by to fix the other air-conditioners, so hopefully they are working well now.

The room was spacious, the bed big and extremely confortable, the staff very friendly and helpful; and the location was perfect! Quiet district (Borella) 25min walk from the park/museum, and only a short Tuk Tuk drive away from Colombo fort (city centre and station). We’ll come back.

Nice and Modern style but a little bit worn. Glad to hear it’s going to be redecorated.

I stayed at the Rockwell for 3 nights and overall i found it fairly comfortable and quiet. The location was decent too with several good restaurants within walking distance. Staff were very helpful and breakfasts were delicious.

Frustrating experience with wifi here..... not really sure what the issue was. Staff tried to help as best they could

The staff are great, the rooms are exceptionally clean and tidy. The bathrooms are clean and nice and there is hot water anytime. There are some amenities in the bathroom as well. Rooms have big panoramic windows and large curtains to cover it all, and there are nice balconies although my room didn't have a view.

The AC in our room was faulty and didn't work for the two nights we were there. We fixed it once but kept stopping again and it was hot to sleep in the room without it. Also, we asked for a 3-bed room, yet the third bed was a bit small and not comfortable and was moved on wheels. The restaurant was not open and there is no place to sit and work like a cafe or a lounge.

I’ve been travelling around Sri Lanka and have even stayed at top end five star hotels with amazing staff. When I checked into Rockwell Colombo I had the pleasure of meeting a staff filled with superstars. Fiona Fernando, Inusha jayawardana, and Lahiru Gayan by far have been the best hosts. They made my stay at Rockwell Colombo with as much comfort as I would get in my own home. I am happy to have stayed here and become a part of the Rockwell family. God Bless these folks :)

Facilities & cleanliness needs some improvement However, overall it is worth for money to stay.

WiFi was super fast. It is in the middle of busy town. Easy access. Parking is there but limited. Excellent rooms. Bathroom is great, with branded fittings

Everything was OK but I think the room need colour washing. Walls were little bit dirty.

Little bit far away from city center. But it's not problem if you are at the city where taxi cost about 2 usd.

overall a nice city hotel. Price value correspond well. Nice neighbourhood.

There was no breakfast at the moment. Fridge smelly, I was not comfortable eating the things I left there. There was no mini bar or water refill or cleaning in the two days I stayed (but I also did not asked for it 🤷🏻‍♀️)
