Pegasus Reef Hotel

Staff is superb and really helpful and food can't express in words just amazing food with mouth full of taste. Calm peaceful environment with a good beach. Really amazing place to forget everything and relax.

Check out planning was little bit of troublesome. Had a full board stay. Checked in prior night for dinner and had to take the lunch and check out. Usually in other hotels during my stays the check out process finish after taking lunch and then packed the stuff and come to lobby and check out. But here it's little bit different , had to come to lobby hand over keys , settle the payment and then go for lunch and then check out. Little bit confusing.

Due to some event which was going on in the facility, could not sleep properly with the loud noise and music

This is a hidden gem. This was my third stay and I found that the following are key things which I liked: -Taste and quality of food has exceptionally improved since my last stay in 2019. Food is fantastic and Chef Niranjan and staff accommodated and included special requests at the buffet where entertained family and friends - who too were amazed at the improvement in the taste of food. Mithila helped us a lot at the Seafood Restaurant - Staff service: Staff is very helpful. They make you feel at home -Cleanliness - Rooms were very clean - FOH staff - Fantastic. We had to return to hotel at 4am due to flight cancellation and staff treated with lot of empathy and gave us the same room until the following day. While we do not know all names Priya, Himal, Chami, Dilini and Andrew from FOH and many Bell Boys were always there to help us. It appears that there is a great Management team in the background with a GM, Chef, FOH Manager and F&B Manager (Nilanka) who have empowered staff to make decisions without having to seek clearances at all times which was well demonstrated when we had to return to the Hotel at 4am!!! I would strongly recommend Pegasus Reef Hotel to any traveller to Sri Lanka -which is by the way very safe for anyone contemplating of travelling to Sri Lanka where people welcome you with a smile and make you comfortable despite the hardships in their day to day lives. I intend come again to Sri Lank and stay at Pegasus Reef Hotel in 2023.

if your looking for a beach stay don’t go here for that, hotel is tired looking in the rooms and needs some money spent on it.

The service was exceptional. Niji and Shakeeb at the front office at reception were most helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. That applied to house keeping and restaurant staff alike.

When buffets are laid out often, it prevents us ordering what we like. There ought to be a choice of food with an A La Carte menu too. Gym equipment is dated and could do with updating. The approach road is greatly in need of repair. Several deep potholes.

Extremely satisfied with the overall experience.Excellent hotel with great customer service.Exceptionally friendly,professional and helpful staff where we could get any changes done.Rooms were clean and the food was delicious. The buffet was excellent and sumptous as everyone enjoyed even the kids.If you are a seafood lover the FISHERIES RESTAURANT at Pegusus is a must visit. The Herbal garden,Bird watching and Yoga area which they are currently developing is super relaxing. We all simply loved that area.There is a trea house as well.

Everything was just fine, with no error to be found. The food was excellent with many selections. The table service was great and the staff was very friendly. The arrangement of the buffet was also fine.

Pool time was limited to just one hour per room, which I think isn't just enough. After all, people try to enjoy their vacation and the pool is one of the primary stops and I personally think the hotel should consider increasing this allowable limit depending on the occupancy. The restaurant is an open-air venue, which on really hot days, I think should have more fans to cover all around.

Great location. The breakfast and dinner were buffet style and there were many options to select from. The room was clean and the staff was always friendly. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and I can assure you that they always have maintained the same level of quality and service.

There was a huge tree blocking our balcony view. I'm totally against cutting trees, and therefore I suggest that the hotel should set the customers' expectations beforehand, or maybe discount the rates for these types of rooms. This wasn't a huge problem, cause we only stayed one night. Not complaining, just some feedback.

Good breakfast, nice staff, decent pool. Clean and comfortable room. Good wifi.
