Hotel Boutique Gareus

Hotel Gareus was a nice surprise in what I first thought to be hotel on the outer circle of the city but boy that was wrong. It is very close to all things to see in the old city. The hotel personnel was super friendly. The hotel has this amazing high class style look with beautifull hall resembling old library with books. Very warm. Nice marble floors. Bedroom was more than expected. Short one night stay but one I will remember. Also the elevator to the secured parking is a big plus. Too many hotels don't take into account some travellers do that travel with a beloved classic car. 10/10 from me on this hotel

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

The room was great. Large and comfortable with a roomy bathroom and excellent shower Like a lot of Spanish hotels there was no hot drink facility but there was a well stocked fridge. Our room overlooked the most amazing little café restaurant which is right opposite the entrance to the hotel. We had breakfast there each day and it does an excellent takeout coffee.

There isn’t much to this boutique hotel apart from the well appointed rooms. We didn’t use the breakfast

Breakfast was excellent. Best coffee in Iberia. Loved that secure parking was on site. Great location. Nice decor. Highest recommendation for the warm smiling welcome from the lady at reception.

I am sorry to say that I found the bed too hard for me. I am sorry I did not give this feedback directly to the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located very close to all the good stuff in Vallodolid. The underground parking was easily accessible via a lift and very secure with camera coverage to Reception. The room was absolutely fantastic with a very large separate bathroom with both bath and shower. The room was light and luxurious with a huge comfortable bed and excellent bedding.

The hotel uses the bar to provide a wide range of bar snacks in the evening and breakfast. All the food we had was excellent but the starters were huge which didn't leave much room for the main.

The staff was really professional and helpful. All with a big smile! Location, breakfast really good. Easy access from the motorways, both arriving and departing.

The garage is difficult to enter. Our car is not very big and we had difficulty entering it. Our room (Junior sweet) smelled of cigarettes. Our fault as we did not ask for a non-smoking room.

Very good location close to the train station & lovely park. Liked the hotel & room decor, room was comfortable & quiet & particularly liked the bathroom conveniences. The dining staff was outstanding as they were efficient, professional & friendly. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

The internet was abysmal for being a 4-star hotel. Everything else was well run, comfortable & attractive.

Well located, spotless, upmarket hotel with underground parking.

This is an observation rather than a dislike. The kitchen was closed due to illness one night but that the barman rustled up a delicious toasted sandwich. We did not have breakfast because of the price and there is a cafe directly opposite.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They were the highlight of my stay at this hotel. The room is very quiet and comfortable. Also, the property has a great location because it is extremely close to Campo Grande and therefore to the city center.

Did not expect too much but was really surprised by both the hotel and staff. Checking was friendly and efficient, all the ppl we met were just great with smile on their face. We had a junior suite which was amazing both in size, comfort and amenities. Food was great for breakfast.

The bartender was really slow and mostly absent but that was probably our only complaint.

I read all the reviews and they indicated that it was a good 4 star boutique hotel in a good position near to both the park and the centre of town and that it had very good off-street parking. They are the main ingredients we look for when staying in a town for the first time. The reviews were all correct, the hotel met our expectations plus some. The receptionist gave us some eating suggestions - we like to eat local food with local people and in this case we found one of the recommended tapas restaurants with a long queue that moved quickly and we had a fantastic meal. Sadly, due to covid we didn't get to try any of the facilities within the hotel but the bar did look tempting even when empty.
