Gran Hotel Soller

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel is incredibly well run. The staff are friendly and efficient and willing to do anything to please. Although we didn't really eat in the hotel (apart from the excellent breakfast), the dinner we had was very good. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and was cleaned very well every day. The location is ideal for easy access to other similar towns in the area, and easy to get to the beach or to Palma. Parking was provided which proved very handy. The rooftop pool is a good area to relax and sunbathe, and the rooftop bar was always on hand for drinks and snacks. It was so good, we've already booked another week here same time next year.

There's absolutely nothing to dislike, nothing to fault. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Gran Hotel Soller.

Everything was perfect! The staff are just wonderful - so lovely and helpful . So welcoming both at the desk and at breakfast . The breakfast was amazing - no queues , freshly made dishes to order , but with a wonderful cold buffet. The rooftop swimming pool , although small , never felt busy. We never failed to get a sunbed whatever time of day we went there. And at the end of the day with the sun going down and the stunning view was a fabulous time to relax on the rooftop. The downstairs area with pool and gym was also great (and you could fill up your water bottles there and I even had access to unlimited tea and coffee) . The room was marvellous with a super bathroom with both bath and shower. My daughter found the bed a bit hard - I didn't have a problem but if you like a very soft bed it is worth asking about the different rooms ( we had a twin bedded room). The location is also perfect - right by the main square and yet so peaceful. And we were walking within the mountains in just 10 minutes. And the mountain walks are just fabulous - we cannot recommend it more highly.

Nothing really - although a running machine in the gym would have been nice - beyond that though the gym was very well-equipped.

Staff were fantastic. Couldn't do enough to make our stay a very good one.

Nothing about the hotel, which I'd recommend without hesitation. Our problem is with Booking.com. We travelled with two other couples. We booked through Booking.com, as did one other couple, whilst third couple booked direct with the hotel. We all booked same standard of room, for same dates. Our friends who booked direct with the hotel were allocated a larger room, with more superior view and they paid €250 less than the Booking.com price. I'll be considering going direct to the hotel in the future if you can get such a benefit by doing it yourself.

The staff are really superb. The hotel breakfast is an incredible array of fruits, breads & pastries, yogurt, meats & cheeses as well as made to order eggs, crepes and more. Wonderful amenities in the spa & gym area. awesome view from the rooftop pool area and bar.

Nothing but the designer in me really wants to update the carpets and some of the furniture.

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and the facilities were great - two pools and a hot tub open till late which is wonderful as it stays warm/light in Soller till past 10pm at the moment. Special shout out to Sandro who went above and beyond to help us and answer queries. Really he was such an asset to the hotel. The team at breakfast were great too, as was the lady at the pool bar. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and very attentive.

It was a little expensive for what the rooms are. I think they could do with modernizing BUT I think this could also be majorcan style.

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at -- an elegant, very comfortable, incredibly well-located, luxurious hotel. It has the warmth and helpfulness of a small boutique hotel with the benefits of a 5-star hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and pleasant to talk to. We often consulted with them about our plans for the day, where to eat, etc. The pool and breakfasts were particularly memorable. The pool had excellent views and breakfast always had fresh food, many options, great coffee, and was set it a beautiful courtyard.

Right in the centre, minutes from the central square, station & tram. Beautiful historic building, the staff were some of the most friendly & helpful I have ever encountered, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms spacious & spotlessly clean. breakfasts were excellent. We also ate in the restaurant one evening, truly delicious.

The only suggestion would be to have coffee maker rather than instant coffee.

1. Value for money. Booked before the hotel opened for the season and took advantage of a discount on normal prices. 2. Breakfast. The quality, range and "cook to order" option made this exceptional value. 3. Room. Although in an annexe and thus cheaper, very comfortable overall, especially the walk in shower and bathroom extras such as generous soap dispensers, slippers and dressing gowns. Also pleasant mountain view. 4. Staff attitude. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating at all times, especially at breakfast. 5. Location. Well situated close to the main square. 6. Attractive dining, bar and lounge areas.

We were almost 100 % satisfied. Some minor points: 1. The wardrobe space in our particular room seemed a little cramped for two people's effects. 2. On arrival we noticed some deposits on the shower floor, perhaps because it had not been used over winter. However, these quickly washed away and presented no further problem.

Breakfast was great, big selection with a cooked breakfast and coffee to order. We managed to upgrade to a room with a balcony which was well worth it as the views of Soller were amazing. Location was brilliant in the town centre. Pool on the rooftop was a huge bonus, and we loved relaxing there at the end of the day. Staff were all very helpful too.

We didn't realise we could order cooked breakfast until day 3, but that was our oversight! Ideally parking would have been included in the price, we opted to park on the main road for free instead. I wouldn't say this was a 5* hotel, but still a brilliant stay.

The breakfast was excellent, with lots of delicious options at the buffet and a la carte. The courtyard location and the cheerfulness of the staff added to the wonderful atmosphere. The hotel architecture, gives a cosy feeling. I loved the views from the rooftop pool, unbeatable. Even if you don’t use the pool, there are lounge areas and a bar, so it is a very pleasant area to relax in the afternoon.
