Hotel Illa d'Or & Club Apts 4* Sup

The hotel is beautiful, in a quiet location at the top of the bay with easy walking access along the seafront walk to other places. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The apartment & wider hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed with high quality linen & towels. A swimming pool & tennis court are just outside. Breakfast was a fantastic spread.

We had a lovely stay but the hotel could perhaps add a few extra touches to add value for the quiet high end price. The basics are there- toiletries & coffee (not replenished every day). As a family with teenagers we found we were a different generation to most of the guests. The rules for the pool were a bit restrictive for the kids. The restaurant menu is beautiful but only somewhere we would eat on a special occaision and not very young person inclusive. The entertainment on offer was similar. If your taking the grandparents too this is the perfect place. Information in the room about facilities would be very helpful and a map of the hotel.

Cleanliness and immaculate condition of the hotel. Breakfast choice and quality. Terrasse restaurant and bar location stunning. Food generally good. Most staff were friendly and competent.

Price of some drinks. Some of the outside waiters were not that good or friendly - but I guess a lot were new following Covid and they have to work very hard in very hot conditions. Nevertheless, training required and more staff needed outside. It was very annoying that poolside and beachside sun beds were all “reserved” very early and people went absent for long periods - you had to resort to doing the same as you couldn’t get a sun bed at all. The hotel needs to find a way of sorting this.

The hotel was beautiful-interiers modern and cosy (sensitively reconstructed), very close to the sea, on the calm place, but there was the opportunity to walk to the near city, close to the shop, amazing swimming pool with tropical gardens and big beds to lie…😍Me and by mum had a really great time in here. The hotel beach was very nice.

I would change only one thing-there was blue lightning on the balcony, I didn’t like it, it’s not natural lightning for the night, it didn’t suit with the hotel and it was harder to fall asleep. And the light above the tables in the dining room-someone should really lift them up, cos I hit my head in them and saw someone that did hit their head like milion times :)

The location, outdoor dining, the service

The only thing letting this hotel down is the gym, which is well below the standards I would expect in a top-end hotel. My primary objective on holiday is to relax mentally and to feel fit and healthy physically by the time I come home. Exercising every day is an important part of this, but I'm afraid the current gym is very poorly equipped - three old aerobic machines, a overly complex multigym resistance machine and some entry-level free weights (the heaviest of which is 10 kg) doesn't cut it relative to other hotels I've visited.

Fabulous Hotel which has been updated to a very high standard. Pure luxury! The outside dining terrace is a stunning location for breakfast and dinner. The sunbathing terrace is lovely with comfortable loungers and easy access to the sea. A very relaxing break, didn’t need to think about anything.

We experienced a bad storm one day which left debris all over the place. It took two days for normal service to be resumed, despite the fact that the bad weather was over the terrace bar and sun terrace were not immediately restored. For a hotel of this standard I would have expected a seem less return to normal.

Lovely breakfast, fantastic location, rooms beautiful (we had a sea view plus balcony), staff friendly and very helpful, very relaxing, lovely massage! The hotel exudes charm, history and indulgence, beautiful furnishings and the wonderful seaside terrace added to the sense of calm and relaxation

We were initially disappointed with our room - 119 - we don't think this should be priced the same as the others on the front , due to the very small corner balcony with no bed! However when asked if we could move this was facilitated the next day to 118 which was much better. The only issue with this room was that the extractor fan did not work in the bathroom and we had to ask 3 times to get a shower mat due to the slippery tray.

The buffet breakfast was superb, the best of all our stays in Mallorca, Javier who welcomes you at breakfast is really friendly. The staff at the bar and restaurant were really nice, particularly Rosa who looked after us well for both our dinners in the terrace restaurant. It is a very relaxing hotel in a beautiful location, it is lovely to sit on the terrace for a sunset drink followed by dinner on the water with excellent evening entertainment including live music and dancing.

It is missing little touches that would make it a 10/10. For example they don’t give you any complimentary water in the rooms, which I find bizarre in a hot country. Every other hotel we stayed in on the island gave us a complimentary welcome drink. The reception staff were a bit cold and the concierge didn’t help bring our bags either to or from the car or to the room.

Location perfect.. Quiet front line with fabulous view of bay. Beautiful pine walk into town. Our room was front line sea view with fabulous balcony and double sunbed which was worth it for a special occasion. Quality breakfast buffet and cook to order which could be eaten on the sea front terrace. Evening meal lovely cooked choices from la carte menu. Staff hard working and very high standards of service and thank you to all.

A difficult problem to solve and wouldn't stop us booking again - The hotel does not have enough sunbeds or shades on sea terrace and poolside, made worse by the behaviour of guests rushing to reserve their spot on the dot of 9am. The staff monitoring system was stressful. Other guests had the same complaint not what you want on your hols !!! There are 2 dangerous wide steps with no markings on sea terrace. We both just managed to save ourselves from a nasty tumble. And i witnessed several others do the same.

The hotel is in great location, literally by the sea. All the staff are brilliant, professional, and always with a smile. Breakfast is fantastic, the boat trip with the hotel's own boat to Formentor was the highlight of our holiday, tennis lesson with Rafa :) was fun, and relaxing by the sea and in the spa was just fab. Thank you Illa d'Or for making our holiday such a spendid one.

We liked it all, perhaps the apartment we were staying could have been a bit bigger - there were three of us, but it was still perfectly fine, and with a lovely view of the swimming pool and well kept gardens.

Best location in Pollenca, gorgeous hotel, facilities and water views. Genuinely charming atmosphere and the history of the place is immediately visible.

Food was really disapointing, and service at the restaurant and bar was chaotic - almost daily. While the waiting staff was always extremely kind, they clearly suffered from lack of training, management and were simply not able to deal with the what should be predictable summer high occupancy.
