THB Royal

Hotel is really nice, staff was very kind, rooms are wide. Everything is perfectly clean. Our kids were thrilled with our terrace near the pool, the palms and the pancakes :-) And it is just a few minutes walk from playa Dorada, which our kids loved very much. Kids (4 and 8) felt really careless and safe in THB Royal complex - it has very dinamic ground plan, perfect for their vision of fun!

Restaurant - we've had all inclusive package, but the meals in restaurant were not made tastefully. There was visible lack of cleaning staff in the resaturant, and one more unusual thing - waiting outside in the line for the dinner, because the staff can't clean the tables so quickly.

Everything was perfect! We had a big apartment with two (!) terraces and it was cleaned up everyday. In addition we got new towels everyday as well. We booked only breakfast and dinner, but the food was great, wide range to choose from and you don’t even have to be first. Even if you come a bit later, there is still enough of great food to choose from. Most of the visitors are French so naturally, activities are in French as well, but there was absolutely no problem. We will definitely come back soon ;)

Good was great - lots of variety. Rooms were clean. Bathroom is modern.

The hotel entertainment is 100% French. Not one word of English. This should be mentioned in the booking.com hotel description as it’s important. 99% of guests are french so very difficult for kids to make friends. They weren’t allowed to join mini club unless they could speak french

The location was absolutely fine. Good swimming pools & dining hall. When we ate in for dinner the food was quite good but wouldn’t eat in every day. Room sizes were good. Bathroom & shower excellent.

Opted for a double rather than twin beds but this was just 2 singles pushed together & not secured by joining bars or equivalent. The 2 beds were also made up as singles with separate sheets and blanket so spent half the night not trying to fall down between the gap in the beds. However this appears to be the case for all beds classed as a double on the island.

The room was very nice, lots of dust under the bed which I found when I dropped something! I did not get a chance to get to the pool. The breakfast buffet style is very hard to have good hot food but was done very well, still a 9/10

The hotel bar up the top by the entertainment was a bit restricted on drinks and not a great selection. Didn't even have Canadian drinks, like wine, beers and Arehucas Rum!! Promote the islands.

Staff on reception were very friendly, and efficient when checking in. Our room was of a very good size and the fridge was handy to keep cold drinks in. We didn't use the main pool as that was where the daily animation took place. Our room was by the quiet pool which was lovely, no problems at all getting a sunbed.

Had a problem settling our bill we didn't realise we had to pay on arrival and then our credit card and debit card wouldn't work and it turned out the WiFi wasn't working ,I found this quite stressful ,it wasn't till the evening till it was rectified and could settle our bill . But the lady on reception was very very efficient and calm . Other wise had a wonderful stay .

Great for the price, comfortable rooms and beautiful 2 terraces for each rooms. The garden is amazing and the pools are very clean. Good location, the beach is in 5 min walk, shops, pubs are available nearby. Large selection of great food and beverages! Staff is very nice and lot of activities are available, though in French mainly, but everyone speaks English.

Sometimes the food was only warm. Lack of omlette bar! The pools were a little chilly

Great price. Short walk to beach. Clean and tidy. Helpful, friendly staff. Would stay again.

Lighting was turned off in the back half of the hotel so very dark returning to room in the evenings. If you wish to participate in hotel activities be aware that is is delivered entirely in French (I was aware prior to booking).
