We loved the location and facilities in the hotel. The staff were marvellous and really helpful especially when I lost my hat.

The location of our room which overlooked the roof of the pool restaurant blocking out garden or pool view was very disappointing. Also the coffee at breakfast left a lot to be desired considering this was a five star hotel!

This was the first trip we'd taken with our 17 month toddler, so wanted to stay in a resort which was aimed towards families. It did not disappoint - it felt safe, secure, fun and the staff were extremely pleasant towards us. The pools were fantastic, the breakfast and dinner buffets had expansive options plus we were welcomed with a smile each visit. We truly appreciated the small touches in our room such as a push chair, crib, baby monitor and secure windows to ensure there was no anxiety around little hands opening doors to the outside world. We used the in-house babysitting service for an evening and enjoyed a wonderful nine course degustation dinner at Isla Lobos, along with the wine paring. It was only on our final day there that we realised there was a whole other half of the resort that we hadn't yet visited - we'll be back to make the most of our time again :) !

Despite being geared towards families with young ones, most of the facilities opened rather late! The buffet dinner not allowing guests in until 6pm was odd for us who usually eats earlier with our little one, plus the resort was so large that it was a little confusing to get around sometimes, such as having to trek to the opposite side (~10 minute walk with a toddler) in order to collect fresh towels, which didn't open until 10am. Those with toddlers will understand that by 10am an entire morning has already been lived out - usually with dirty pool towels from the previous day. We would have appreciated a better explanation of all the services when we checked in, as most of the facilities we discovered ourselves rather than understanding that they were there in the first place.

The hotel is beautifully located a short walk from either Marina Rubicon - with restaurants, bars and shops - and the centre of the Playa Blanca town - with more restaurants, bars, shops and the harbour. It’s also the only hotel conveniently opposite a nice sandy beach, which is great for people like me who prefers the sea to the pool life and it’s close enough to go even when you’re short on time. This hotel is great for families, by as a couple we never felt like that was an issue: there are adults only options for breakfast and there’s just so much space and choice of everything (restaurants, pools, bars, lounges) that it never felt too busy or uncomfortable in any way. The staff went over and beyond to satisfy any request or need we had, and not just on day one, but consistently and also after checking out. Simply a stellar staff, always polite, energetic, welcoming and caring, from reception to waiters (apart from one grumpy waiter at the evening bar).

I wasn’t too happy with the room assigned when I arrived as I wanted a quiet room and mine was facing a club outside, which although distant could be heard at night. As I expressed my concern, I got offered an upgrade to a junior suite with pool view straight away, which was super quite with the windows closed or at night, but felt much nicer and centrally located. One point to consider is that this hotel is huge, so it may get 5-10min each time to get to your room, so if you prefer being more agile with going back and forth to your room, let them know. Rooms were super spacious and the app system and live chat allows for last minute requests of any kind. And they do reply and get it sorted for you.

Everything was beyond expectations! The hotel is huge, we’ll maintained, very comfortable not to mention beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was large, very comfortable and impeccably clean. There are many pools so none is full and you can enjoy it. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. All good was fresh and tasty. The restaurants inside of the hotel were very good as well, especially Kampai. We had a great experience there.

It was quite hard to find sun beds in the shadows around the pools, because most of them were reserved by other guests with towels, even though there was no sign of anyone for hours.

It was a very nice and pleasant stay overall. Our family spent 8 days at this hotel and we've got a lot of positive emotions. Key advantages: amazing location with quick access to the Playa Blanca beach, fantastic heated pools for adults and children, good facilities, a lot of entertainment for the kids including nursery and playing rooms, reach and versatile breakfast, excellent service and pleasant staff. Free WiFi with top-notch connectivity and coverage. Keep it up!

Wellness & SPA seemed a bit dated and not very clean, definitely requires renovation as for 5L stars Hotel. Restaurants could be better as well (there is a space for improvement for sure).

The hotel's location at Playa Dorada is ideal. The facilities are superb (pools, restaurants, rooms, etc.), maybe not as modern as some of the newest properties nearby, but they're very well maintained and support a consistently excellent service provided by the team. The food offering at the hotel is premium, well varied and delivered to a very high standard.

The fit-out of the bedrooms is getting a little dated, but the underlying fabric of the hotel is excellent.

There were exceptional family facilities at this hotel - a kids club, a supervised soft play, and a choice of swimming pools. The beach was immediately outside the hotel. The food in the restaurants was good, and the staff were universally friendly.

We stayed in a "Kiko Suite" which had been billed as - and indeed, as a room, was - very family friendly. However, it is clear that two separate hotels have been joined together; with the Kiko Suites being in the "other" / less good hotel. The most popular kids activities (notably the soft play and mini disco) were in the main part of the hotel.

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautiful in and out. From the minute we arrived to our departure we were looked after very well. Kids have their own pool, play area so we spent our time at the Beautiful, sea water, lower pool and it was lovely and quiet. Marina Rubicon just a short walk away has a great choice of restaurants but the hotel also offers great variety.

Had to get up extremely early to get sunloungers with an umbrella. Allot of very early risers and bar more umbrellas I am not sure what can be done.
