Hotel San Polo

Bedroom and bathroom were hugel comfortable and clean. We stayed on the 1st floor with a view over the square directly outside the front door. Breakfast was typically European and very good quality, it was good to see fresh fruit available as well.

No kettle or cups, so tea or coffee in rooms were not encouraged - we did ask for hot water and made ourselves a hot drink. Would suggest that tea/coffee making facilities be introduced and situated the appliances in the common room at the end of each level.

Stunning location. Central to the old town with views to die for. Lying in bed at nighttime and looking out the window, we had the best room with a view we have ever experienced. And great value for money too.

Front desk demeanour was a bit gruff.

Nice location, right outside the entrance to the old town. The hotel itself is built on the ruins of an old church, the San Polo church, which makes it pretty unique. There is a restaurant in the hotel in the patio with ruins. The bed were super comfy and the room had all basic facilities. Staff was efficient.

It is a bit pricey on weekends. The night we stayed at the hotel, there was a wedding (typical for Saturdays in Salamanca btw) so it was very noisy the whole night. The AC did not work properly but the room was pretty fresh. The bathroom had all it needs but very basic and a bit old. No parking option, you can park in underground paid parking nearby or walk 6 min to the other side of the river (which we did).

Hotel was situated in a good place in relation to the city centre and there is parking lots for a short stop when dropping lagguage in the hotel room. Breakfast was great. We got good service when checking out of the hotel.

We did not feel welcome during checking in, most likely because we don´t speak Spanish and the man in the reception was not much for socializing in Engllish.

Location is excellent practically in Salamanca downtown. The room (301) was very clean and with plenty of natural light. Views to the cathedral from the room are outstanding

The pillows could have been better but that's a minor detail. The hotel doesn't have parking but there is one less than 5 minutes walking at a reasonable price (16,40€ per day)

Amazing location really well situated for walking inside & outside of the city. Fabulous views from bedroom window & very friendly staff on check-in. Only wish we could have stayed longer, as one night was not enough!

Maybe the windows could do with some sound proofing as the road is extremely busy & noisy early morning, for light sleepers. Also our Jacuzzi bath didn't work & my husband was already in it on the only evening we were staying when we realised! LOL! But really no complaints!

The room had a great bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and shower option. It also had a fridge and desk in the room, and enough storage space, along with a temperature control which made the stay extra comfotable.

The bathroom had a shower gel soap included, but it would have been great to have some extra toiletries. However I selected a standard room so maybe these are included with other room options.

It is a beautiful hotel. Situated at the bottom of the city walls. Easy walk most sights. We only had 1 night, but we got to see most attractions on foot. Would definitely stay again.

If staying a few days, I would like to be able to make tea or coffee in my room.

The hotel is really well located within walking distance to everywhere. staff were really great. We had amazing view of the cathedral from the window. Also you can park your car right in front of the hotel to unload your luggage and then go park in a car park close by, at a charge.

Superb location. Amazing views from bedroom. Staff at reception very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was adequate but a little basic. Some fresh orange juice and better coffee would help. Bathroom looking a little tired but the shower was brilliant.
