Garni Hotel Helvetia

The price, location and staff were great. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the airport shuttle stop, close to main city sites, 2 minutes walk to a supermarket, less than a minute to a currency exchange. So it’s very convenient, especially when you come for a short stay and need to do things quickly. People who work at the reception are so nice and caring. We had a nice chat, when in the evening I asked for a kettle they arranged it in 5 minutes. Thanks to such attitude I felt at home. The price is incomparable - no other hotel in the area gives such a price, even most of the apartments are more expensive.

I didn’t have any problem to point at. Obviously the hotel is neither brand new nor luxury but for the price offered one shouldn’t expect magic. It was decent and comfortable.

everything was great; it's not modern, but the hotel has it own style (marble stairs, iron fence, crystal lamp...); staff is very polite and courteous; location couldn't be better! Just a few steps from the church Saint Marko (crkva Svetog Marka). I could use the bus, but also walk to Kalemegdan and Cathedral Saint Sava.

Friendly and very helpful staff, amazing location close to supermarkets, restaurants, and all other relevant services, room comfortable and clean. Strongly recommend staying in Belgrade

Location is great, interiors are truly majestic, and the staff was very nice. We got a very good night's sleep here. The yard is also great.

The rooms need cleaning. They are not dirty, but walls and ceiling have stains and smashed insects on them. Bathroom is tiny, not very comfortable to use. Double bed with two adjacent single mattresses also may cause some discomfort.

Nice location. Large rooms. Impressive furniture.

Not very clean. There is NO restaurant in the hotel, so we couldn't have breakfast there, in spite the fact that in booking page is stated that is posible! A little rusty and dusty ! It is necessary to find a new manager and a more active cleaning team. The is no four stars hotel definitely!

I got a room without a fridge so I couldn’t cool some stuff I bought (water for example). But that wasn’t a big issue in the end.

Great location, especially if you are coming to BG marathon like I was. Hotel is like 300m from start line. It is right next ot a beautiful tasmajdan park with many restorans in area. The stuff were very understanding and extended our checkout time until we return from race and cleanup. Loby is very nice and rooms have peaces of beautiful classic furniture. Rooms very are quiet - hotel tucked away from noisy main street.

Pillows were too big (actually I have this issue with many hotels because I have neck problems). Hairdryer did not have hot air so I had to use semi cold I did not have time to go and ask for a replacement.

Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful at all hours. The location was in a great area and I slept comfortably.

I wish the shower were cleaner. There was a fair amount of mold. I hoped I might find some slippers.

The location was excellent; I loved the decor (baroque / rococo). I was relieved the bed was so comfortable.

Smoke. The staff smoked in the lobby. Fortunately, the odour did not enter the room.

The receptionist Gordana was so positive, supportive and welcoming. She helped me find the answers to the questions I had about the room and services.

The shower was not a comfortable one for me. The TV set did not work, and the WiFi connection was interrupted several times in the evening.
