JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel

I chose JW Marriott as my wife had had surgery in Bucharest, and I needed a place for her to recover even though I had to head back to Australia early with the kids. They exceeded my expectations. The hotels staff are extraordinary, never have I left a hotel remembering individual staff members names. Diana, Teodora and Anna and the other two girls whom I deeply apologise I cant recall the names (one was from India) in the Executive Lounge. Your kindness, eloquence and empathy were much appreciated. My wife and daughters much appreciated this refuge Gabriel (Head of Housekeeping( thankyou for the bears and donuts) To the cheerful lady who cleaned my wifes room and kept her spirits up even though she was recovering from surgery. To Anna and the colleagues on reception - thankyou To the guys that patiently parked my car every day - thankyou

1.Very modern and spacious room ! (is the 3rd time for me when I stay in a 5* hotel) 2.Great duvet (fluffy, light but very warm) and pillows, toiletries.. towels etc 3.Kettle for tea + mini-bar (I could store own food there)

1. Extremely bad internet connection: 1 line out of 4 available when sitting at the table, and 3 lines out of 4... when coming closer to the door. YouTube was loading videos very very very slowly...; The hotel did not offer any discount for this inconvenience. 2. cigarette smell coming from neighbors. Even though there is policy and a penalty for that...; The hotel changed the room once for this purpose, the second time they proposed to use a anti-Tabaco spray...which I refused. Instead I just put a towel at the entrance door and that solved the problem 90%+; Not 100% though.

Very nice hotel, specious rooms, very clean (you can open the window parcially which is always a plus!) Super comfortable bed and lot of pillows. Nespresso coffee machine in the room. all amenities in the bathroom (including bath salt). Fantastic breakfast - wide choice of foods, vege, gluten free options, fresh squezzed juice. Omlette/eggs station. I have tried also the italian retaurant - nice food, bit pricie thought.

the noice coming out of the corridor- doors should have better soundproof acustics, i could hear people passing and talking while beeing the room.

really good service, funny and friendly people. the rooms was really nice and clean.

just the location of the hotel, far from the central.

we loved staying at the JW Marriott … best hotel experience we had … we travel around the world but service and staff like this we have never encountered, i hope everyone is proud to work there 😃. we would like to mention Daniel (front desk), Alexandra (JW Steakhouse), Andrea and Alexandra(Champion’s), sorry if we missed someone (in room dining staff was great also 😊). we loved the food and the fact that only hotel guests have access to the restaurants, because of that we actually drove from Baneasa Mall to the hotel to eat instead of going somewhere else. Good JOb Management Team for all your employees 🥰 💗

nothing really important 😂, just that you were out of our favorite dip “eggplant dip”, witch is sooo good 😊

Everything was perfect bed was very comfortable large rooms spacious house keeping was on point. music every night very polite staffs nothing not to love really beautiful property. clean from top to bottom you feel very welcome thanks to all the wonderful staffs you guys are the absolute best. breakfast was endless choices fresh and really amazing I sat by a mile the best 5 star. Restaurant was so good you spoiled for choice really good

For a Marriott chain hotel, it has a high standard of facilities. The limo service arranged at the airport was quite on-time and the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The front desk on my check-in was cordial and so did the luggage service. The room was spacious and the welcome Macaron did surprise me a lot. The wifi worked well so I could get connected all the time.

The make-up service of my room did not stay consistent for my 7 nights. I only got 3 nights with bath rug and my bed and pillow sheets were not changed for my stay. I could not find a tag or plate to indicate the need of changing. The front desk upon check-out did not have the same passion as my check-in. It was a pity for a high-standard hotel.

Beautiful lobby, large hotel and good location. Large rooms (at least the one I stayed in). Nicely decorated and clean room, with a large and comfortable bed. I stayed in many Marriot hotels across the world and I have seen much better and much worse hotels and this one, Overall, could be a luxury hotel if it could be better maintained.

It is NOT sound proof and I could hear everything from outside the room and also through the wall from the near by rooms. There was a group of very loud people yelling all night long until 4 AM. The rooms and overall hotel is a bit worn out and needs a refurbishment.

Very nice hotel, top location. The family suite and executive lounge access were great. Very good breakfast, comfortable mattresses and pillows.

There's actually no spa center, just a pool full of people learning to swim and not kid friendly at all :( Also, on the second day of our stay, the pool was closed, something we were not told when we booked this hotel.
