Location is great, the hotel is nicely renovated with classic decorations. Room at 6 floor had beautiful view overlooking Ateneu and Cathedral. Although is located in the city center on a busy street room overlooking the courtyard is silent. Lady at the front desk smiling and very welcoming.

In the bathrooms there is a water leak and one wall had infiltration signs. The built-in wardrobe had dysfunctional doors. A coffee Nesspreso machine in the room would be great.

Excellent location for restaurants, clubs, sightseeing and transport. The hotel is beautifully decorated and its rooms are stylish, sizeable and very clean.

Sexist and dishonest male receptionist. Upon arrival I introduced myself and referenced my booking. Despite speaking in Romanian, he blatantly ignored me, instead addressing in English to my husband who was standing behind me. Later we had to change the room because the safe was not working. The safe was not working in the second room, either. The receptionist lied to us saying there was no technical staff to repair it. The staff was actually available, and sorted it out for us quickly and professionally. At check out, the same receptionist told us that we had used two items from the minibar. We denied and he immediately said it was okay and asked us to sign a form that we did not consume anything.

The décor is nice, imaginative. Old meets new. The rooms are very nice indeed. The value is quite good. The staff are all great and kind except for that grumpy guy that runs the breakfast buffet. The restaurant dinner is amazing, the food menu is really something. The breakfast buffet is not great, but try a dinner there. You will not regret it. The drinks menu is a bit limited (just one local beer) but there are several cognacs. The chef is a very nice guy.

One small complaint is that the restaurant smells funny. I think it is the carpet. Smells a bit like old dry milk. Probably it gets a lot of spills at breakfast. Carpet is not ideal in this situation.

The property has a rich history being a Bucharest landmark since august 1930. Beautiful ArtDeco building with nice design after being reopened by Pheonicia.

The staff was not very welcoming, it could be visible they had no passion for this job/industry. They could be open to accommodate guests needs or requests or at least to try. Also, there was no mention of the history of the hotel or anything prepared in the room considering they are 4 stars and it was an anniversary which I announced. The breakfast was ok, but could be much better. The chafing dishes were turned off and some of the buffet food was cold. Also, the juice was in plastic bottles of 2l - Cappy Juice - which was very sad to see in a 4 star hotel of this scale. Lack of attention from staff, which were always in a hurry (maybe they needed more staff) and lacked the elegant approach of a 4 star establishment.

Very good location. Quite convenient for visiting the old town. Everything of importance was within a walking distance. The rooms are spacious, regularly cleaned and suitable for business trip. The breakfast was very good. I have no major thing to complain about.

I liked the unicI liked the uniqueness of the hotel. The hotel's many works of art are very special. Lots of antiques placed with good taste and wisdom. The pastries at breakfast were especially fresh. The staff was courteous, efficient and professional.

We had an unpleasant start. We took 2 rooms. One had a used condom by the bed. The second room had a very unpleasant smell of dampness. Immediately after we asked a staff member went up to the room with us to check, he felt for himself that it was indeed so and immediately without it he changed to another better room. Regarding the first room I was told I should have immediately called a member of staff to see it. Since we arrived after 3 o'clock in the morning, I disposed of what we found myself and went to sleep.. I hope they will pay attention to such things in the future. It is important to check the rooms at the beginning.

Excellent as always from location to customer service, from housekeeping to attention to details

The breakfast is a total failure "scoring" very low in every aspects: quality and service it is a shame that such an amazing hotel had such a disastrous breakfast.

Best experience ever! I have to start by saying that the staff was so nice! They helped us every time with kindness even helped us replace and activate our SIM cards. The location is great! 10 minutes walk from the main area with the bars and parties, and the hotel is right above a street with great trattorias, cafés and a supermarket. Cleaning was amazing, organized, the room has been cleaned every day, and the entire hotel is also very clean. The shower was very good, the bed was VERY comfortable, spacious room, beautiful design, we had 2 new bottles of water waiting for us every day! The breakfast was not so diverse for me but over all the stay was very good I would definitely come again!

What a lovely hotel with charm and friendly service. I booked an executive suite for 3 nights at what I thought was a very good price. The hotel is very clean and tidy. It’s a bit of an art gallery. The breakfast was fine and I also had two very good evening meals in the restaurant. Nearby, behind the building are a couple of streets with excellent restaurants. It is not too far to walk to the old town. I couldn’t get a ticket for the train on the day I planned to leave so I stayed one extra night. The lift is reliable but has old fashioned gate that needs closing manually. If residents forget to do that reception staff might have to run up six flights of stairs to get it working again. It happened when I was there. About 700 metres away is the bus stop that lets you take the bus to the railway station.

The bath towels are too small. The main Boulevard is wide and it’s busy with traffic. Some drivers and bikers use it to proceed too quickly. Do use the controlled crossings to get from one side to the other.
