I was so pleasantly surprised by the property. It was clean, quite modern and great value for money. I was more than comfortable and was even a little regretful that my trip only brought me to stay here for one night.

If you’re walking to the property with luggage from the train station or bus terminal, as I was, the shortest way does include quite a long staircase to get from one street to the next which has little to do with the property itself I should note. You’ll either have to carry the luggage up or take what seemed like a significant detour. Again, not the property, which I loved, just something to note.

For us the location was perfect but a 15 minute walk into and out of town might put some people off. It was very safe and an easy walk. There are eating and drinking options close to the hotel if you've worn yourself out exploring this wonderful city during the day. Breakfast was excellent but I can see how it could become repetitive after a few days. The WiFi was excellent. The hotel is also beautifully decorated with tiles and paintings of the local area.

The strict 3pm check-in was rigidly enforced so plan accordingly! There is a baggage room. Although WiFi was great, the TV was in a very strict Hotel Mode meaning no firestick or laptop connection was possible. A strange one - the extractor fan in the bathroom only worked during the hours when cleaning was done. This meant the bathroom was dripping with condensation for our entire stay!

would have helped me the use of an iron to iron one dress creased from the flight. asked young receptionist ( with tattoos) who laughed and said hotel has a laundry service. perhaps my fault as usually an iron upon request is available. ( as in the Imperial Hotel though my preference in Hotel is Afonso V, in Aveiro. A receptionist called Senhor João and the young barman that served me are excellent in ensuring the guest feels valued and looked after. Shall return again providing prices are agreeable. My Family usually stay there too. kind regards

-The room was spotlessly clean and the hotel looked overall very, very nice. I would have liked to stay one more night. - good location. Very close to the centre and quiet (there are a lot of ongoing construction works around the city, so this is an important point) -breakfast was OK. They could have put some veggies -comfy beds and room

- they initially gave us a room with a window that wasn't working. I guess there was something wrong with the open/close mechanism. It took us a bit more than 1 hour to have a new room. The manager who checked the window was very nice and told us that we could have a new room, while the lady at the reception told us earlier that it wasn't possible to change. The lady at the receptionist wasn't so polite in our opinion. Apart from that, great hotel, would recommend it and would have liked to stay one more night there myself!

Have to say folks this place was so kind, its a bit remote from the main part of town but what lovely staff, rooms are large, bathrooms too. I personally really liked the location but its more outskirtsish but I'm telling you that in that area the people are so kind, amazing n lovely. Laundry a block away, bema brunch place just 4 blocks away so phenomenal, the canal boat tours right by the little lake again 4 blocks away, the restaurant on the lake too, really wonderful Etc etc

Showerhead was crazy, no kettle/coffee maker in room but I've learned that isn't a norm in portugal. I didnt care for the breakfast much only went twice. Other than that nothing! This place was great!

This hotel was one of the best stops in our 6 stops in 10 days trip from Lisbon to Porto Portugal. The front desk set us up with a private tour of the Templar Castle and Convent of Christ. Our guide was a Templar Historian with 30 years of education in Templar history and Tamar culture / history. Our 1-2 hour tour lasted over 3 hours.

Parking..... But this is no fault of the hotel it is just the small town vibe comes with a compromise. This hotel did have a plan and everything worked out as planed. 6.15 Euros for 24+ hours

Perfect location for the town. Only 10 minutes to walk to the canals and see the boats. The walk takes you past the new shopping centre and restaurants. There’s plenty of free street parking around the hotel. You just have to be lucky to get one but there’s movement of cars most of the time. I got a space after 5 minutes just past the hotel entrance. Executive room was very nice. Spotlessly clean. Wifi is free and there’s no password. Just log straight on.

The only downside is the noise from corridors and other rooms. I could hear talking and televisions until late. The worst is the noise of other guests in their bathrooms. You will hear everything. I always have ear plugs with me and I used them on this occasion.

The hotel is located in a nice, quiet part of the city, relatively close (10-15 minutes walking) to the train station and old city center. The room and bathroom was clean and spacious (I had the executive double). Very good breakfast with a good selection of options for both cold and hot food.

Several times in the morning or in the evening there was no one at the reception. Except for the first day, there was no personnel at the hotel bar in the evening, although it had no sign to indicate it might be closed.

This hotel deserves more than three stars. Rooms are perfectly cleaned, beds are more than comfortable, you even have an air condition if you want to adjust the temperature. The persons at the reception are very kind, polite, always in the good mood. There is always hot water. It is vert pleasant and quiet so ypu can enjoy your staying and sleep like a baby. There is also a bar and tables for chess or billiard. Breakfast is excellent with a variety of food and beverages. If I come again I will choose this hotel.

I found the room is simple (which suits my need and preference) and the service was great. the location and room are perfect for a longer stay during a business trip, there is a sufficient table for working, and the wifi connection is great. The overall service was also very accommodating and hassle-free to check-in.

I was here for a long stay and breakfast is included during my stay. Despite the hassle-free service, I see a stagnant variety of breakfast selections during my stay. The breakfast was good but it stayed with the same menu every day with protein (eggs, bacon) and pastries and a variety of drinks. Maybe if there is a selection with more greens or simple salad/vegetables will be perfect to balance the diets.
