Hotel Wit Stwosz

The location, around the corner from the old square, is perfect. I like this kind of family run hotel where service is personal, they know you and are very helpful. The breakfast in the beautiful old restored cellar was very good: a full range of interesting Polish dishes, and they will also prepare scrambled eggs one request. Our room was warm and comfortable. We had asked to change to a floor with a lift, and they did this immediately. We had an early call on our last morning, and because we were too early for breakfast they gave us two delicious packed meals.

I walked from the train station to the hotel, 10 minutes along what is called the Planty. The hotel is three minutes from the Main Square and the breakfast was fabulous each morning. Hands down, when I return, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this fabulous hotel once again.

I truly can't come up with a single thing I didn't like. The hotel will book day trips for you and the transportation will arrive in front of the hotel. I liked the fact that during the night hours, the front door is locked and when you ring the bell, the receptionist appears within seconds to unlock the door. Towels are always replaced as well as coffee in the room daily.

Good variety of cold and hot very delicious home made food. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Also the breakfast is served in rooms that, are located in the basement. Great warm and homely atmosphere.

More fruit variety and freshly squeezed fruit juices would help for the breakfast to be rated 'great'. There were no breads such as sourdough, rye, fruit loaf supplied. Only a couple variety of bread rolls were supplied but they tasted all the same. The breakfast's starting time could be earlier. I have stayed in some other hotels in Poland(ie Polonia Palace - Warsaw, Puro Hotel - Warsaw) where breakfast starts at 6:30 am or 7am. It helps, if you are travelling and are required to be at the airport very early in the morning. The ability to have an early breakfast at the hotel you are staying, prior to going to the airport could alleviate a lot of stress.

Breakfast was continental, ie meat and cheese, but probably the best scrambled egg I've ever eaten!! Plenty to eat and very fresh. Plenty of other choices too, but don't expect a full English! Excellent location for the town centre, although a bit noisy at the front bedrooms with the bedroom window open (which I prefer at night). Having said that, it wasn't a deal breaker and would definitely return and be happy to stay in the same room.

Should have booked a 'pack up' breakfast when planning an early start to Auschwitz, as asking the day before was too late. My fault, not the hotel, but something to be aware of. No bar in the hotel, but you're less than 5 minutes walk from so many drinking venues it's not really a 'miss'.

The location is excellent - it is possible to walk to the train station (about 10 minutes), or to the Sukiennice (The Kraków Cloth Hall). We stayed for a few nights and pretty much walked everywhere. The room for 3 was quite spacious, with large windows that one could open (a bit noisy at night, but ok when the windows stayed closed). The breakfasts were sumptuous and fresh. We appreciated the staff, who were all very helpful and friendly.

The only thing I can think of was the street noise in the evening, but it was ok when we closed the windows (the AC worked well). Everything else was good.

The hotel looks amazing from the inside. It has a somewhat vintage style but still looks modern. All the floors have warm and beautiful carpets, all the furniture looks awesome. The bathroom is also clean and tidy, there is air conditioning, fridge, and all the other necessary things in the room. Beds were great. Location is superb, it is very close to both the center and the railway and bus station (Krakow Glowny). The staff was very helpful, they allowed free bag storage until the departure, which was very useful as we had a departure bus at midnight. Breakfast was also great, both diverse and tasty.

Great location. Nice quiet spot although only 5 min from the main square. It's a lovely building, room was large and comfortable and very clean. I had an attic room with skylights which was great for watching the snow. Breakfast was excellent. Really good selection and well stocked. I loved the fresh salads especially. Easy walk to the train station through the Planty avoiding the crowds.

Room was huge but there was only a tiny single bed which looked so out of place. I know I'd booked a single but had at least expected a standard double bed. There's tons of space in the room. Seemed really strange.

Check in was swift with the staff being very helpful, the location couldn't have been better with it being close to the Renik with all its many bars and restaurants, the room 23 which had tea and coffee making facilities was large enough and the bed was comfortable too, the bathroom was spotless, Breakfast was in the basement and consisted of an hot and cold buffet with eggs how you like them to order, I would definitely stay there again .

No bar in the reception area but we knew about that before we booked, the wardrobe could have done to been larger in our room.

Location of the hotel is spot-on, 10 minutes walk both from the Main station (both train and coach) and about 12 min.to Wavel Castle. All the other main sights are also in walking distance. Breakfast choice is amazing, do not hesitate to try Polish bits and bobs, absolutely delicious. Staff was amazing, very helpful.

Everything worked fine for me, maybe just a little thing: if there is a note about re-using the towels, tell housekeeping girls not to change them when left on heater. And greeting the guest on the corridor would be lovely (professional deformation 😉 I work in housekeeping, too)

Location, beautiful inside and outside

We had a room on the 4th floor but the air conditioning unit kept buzzing loudly every 15mins or so it was enough to keep us from sleeping a bit through the night, we did mention it and got moved to a room on the 2nd floor unfortunately we could still here the constant buzzing from the unit, I’m not sure if it’s heard ok every room but is wasn’t the best if you are a light sleeper in anyway. Can’t say we can blame anyone too much but it definately needs looked into
