The stay at the hotel was Pleasant, nice helpful reception staff

I was staying 3 days at the hotel room 914. The cleaning staff never passed by , not even to clean the bathroom. I advice you that when you older a taxi in the hotel reception, (70 zloty to the airport) , you agree on the price with the taxi driver before getting into it. (I had pay 90 zloty when we arrived to the airport )

Prior to visiting I requested a room with a bath, as I am suffering with a bad back. They Kindly gave us one, but I discovered the bath was not suitable, it was a little small and too high sided for me to easily get out of. I went to reception & explained and they straight away gave us a room with a shower, no problem at all. Although this was the 3rd time we have stayed there, it was the first time we had had breakfast, boy have we been missing out! The breakfast was SUPERB, probably the best we have ever had anywhere! So much choice, attentive staff who constantly checked and filled things up. Really can't praise it highly enough. We will be visiting again sometime in the future and will definitely always have breakfast.

Nothing . . . . well maybe the bath!

Location is good, about 15 min walk to the old town, 10 min walk to the WWII museum, 10 min to the central rail station. Staff was friendly and polite and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was good. Room was spacious, clean, with very nice view. Bed was comfortable. Overall I enjoyed my stay, very good value for money.

Breakfast could be better e.g. more Polish food options, food could vary day by day (I had 2 breakfasts here and they were exactly the same). The hotel bar serves dinner but very limited Polish food options. The door of the safe in my room was open and I could not close it. I had to insert a piece of paper to keep it closed. There was a bin in the room, but no bin in the bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient. The bin did not go with a trash bag. My room card did not work in one of the lifts. Not sure the card or the lift was the problem. The bottle of water in the room was not filled. I asked the receptionist and was told I can fill the bottle using the water machine near the lift. I still think it would be nicer to have a bottle of water ready to use. in the room.

We had two connecting rooms, which was a brilliant solution for our family of 4. The rooms were clean and comfy, and you can't beat the location - close to the old part of town, and there are lots of grocery stores, caffes, and even a department store just down the street.

The hotel parking was full when we arrived, and the hotel doesn't allow you to reserve a spot beforehand. Luckily, we were able to secure a spot on a public (paid) parking lot right outside.

Big crowded hotel in the old-town, near the central railway station. Room was standard. Good and clean bathroom with the comfortable shower cabin. Soft mattress (this can be a problem for those who likes firmer mattresses). Room is exactly as in the photos. I requested the room on a highest floor and it was provided. Many thanks to the staff.

Loudly slamming doors to the rooms. when someone enters his room, the slam of his door shakes the door in your room and you hear it very well, especially in midnight.

I did like the lociation, the staff, the hotel, the hotel room and the service. I did also like that I could communicate in English with no issues. The breakfast was also very varied and delicious. The cleaning was good as well. Over all a nice hotel, good prices and value for the money, central and exceptional.

I would like the bartender to be a little bit happier or to give a little bit better service/effort. The only drink I did have there, did I feel like we weren't welcome. I do understand it a bit, since we did arrive 1 hour before it did close. But it didn't change my overall experience.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Good breakfast. Great location near train station/trams and 20 min walk to Ratusz etc . Near main shopping areas and food etc. Great view from upper floors. We were on 17th floor city view.

Minor things in the bathroom like spare toilet roll under the soap dispenser so gets wet plus no power sockets next to bed but nothing that ruins the stay.

Brilliant for families. Loved the children’s play room. The hotel dinner menu was delicious (especially the grilled salmon dish!) The family rooms were really comfortable and had an amazing view of the city. Staff were also helpful and friendly. Liked that the hotel was slightly away from the city centre crowds and close to the train station.

I didn’t like having ice cream brought to our breakfast table every morning, as I kept having to manage my child’s expectations about why she couldn’t have it so early. It wasn’t relaxing 😂

Our stay at the Mercure Gdansk Stare Miasto Hotel was a dream come true. From the breathtaking views of the old town to the spacious and comfortable rooms, everything exceeded our expectations. The attentive staff and the scrumptious breakfast added to the overall experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to all our friends as it truly provides an unparalleled stay in Gdansk.

great hotel - nice rooms, excellent breakfast, pertfect location on the edge of the old city

one of the elevators kept messing up leaving me stranded twice for several minutes before it recovered it selv and drove me back to the lobby where I could try again. annoying to see that the staff aparently was so used to this they just ignored the problem and asked me to try again
