Spin Designer Hostel - El Nido

I spent there five days with my family. All members of the staff are very helpful and so kind. I’ll never forget the tasty pancakes and omelettes for breakfast. Water, tea and coffee all day free. It’s an ideal place for a long term stay (digital nomad) and also a great stay for women as there is a dormitory and bathroom for girls only. There is also a washing facility for free – only bring your washing powder.

very nice hostel! there is an opportunity to socialize without pressure. the hotel itself is very beautiful, has everything you need for life. There is always free water, tea, coffee on site. There is an opportunity to wash your clothes in the washing machine, it's very cool! The hostel can help you get out on excursions. There is also a cafe where there is a good selection of food and cocktails.

of the minuses, only the noisy air conditioner in the room.

Loved the stay, every night they have something going on. Had a wonderful barbeque the first night, and joined for the movie night - they set up seats and a projector screen and it was really cute with popcorn provided. Breakfast was AMAZING and included - it really sets you up for a big day of exploring! Albie's omelette's were top notch. Also his barbeque skills! Made some wonderful friendships here <3 The staff pay extra attention to detail, I really felt taken care of like I was in a luxury resort. But with nicer people :) The bed was super comfy too! And town square is in walking distance

Genuinely nothing that I disliked

- Calm and quiet with great vibe - The restaurant is great. Staff there make and serve food with great care. Didn’t try many items but the ones we did were amazing. The Margarita drink and Cheesy garlic pizza were excellent. (Spin Resto/ Bar and Maa’s grill were our favorite restaurants in El Nido) - Staff were very helpful and sincere - The breakfast is an excellent and necessary addition to the Spin experience - Beds were big and comfy Thanks Spin team!

- Water pressure in the washrooms needs to be better - Room design of the private bunk bed room can be improved. We hurt ourselves with the sharp glass holder beside the basin more than once while getting in the washroom.

I really liked the style of the hostel. Bed in dorms are huge and lot of space to store our stuff, from backpacks to small items. Enjoyed buffet breakfast. The ladies at the reception were very kind.

Being a design hostel, I would have expected more attention for the cleaning. Bathrooms always dirty, both in the morning when I wake up and in the evening when coming back from tours. They should be the first thing to clean in the morning and, since the hostel has many guests, be properly cleaned more time a day. Also the dorms should be better cleaned and open windows to change air

Great location, not far from town and beach but far enough from the bars and restaurants, ensures a good night sleep. Beds were comfy, came with a blanket and provided a towel. Storage cupboard, individual light, charging socket, shelf, hanging storage and a wheelie pull out draw from under the bed which is great for storing shoes. Plenty of space in the rooms. Choice of female only toilets and showers or communal. There's a chill out area and an outdoor bar. They had a karaoke night while I was there. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and did a great job of keeping power going during a 72 planned power cut in the town. Kudos to the staff!!

The storage cupboard didn't fit a standard size lock, only option is to buy one or leave valuables unsecured. It was good to see maintenance work going on but felt this could have been done at a better time when the comfort rooms weren't occupied. The look of the hostel is clinical, didn't really have a good vibe or just depends on the people staying at the time. It's very pricey for a hostel and you don't get much more than most other hostels. The breakfast is said to be complimentary, the food choice is poor, especially for vegetarians, the sweets aren't covered to stop the fruit flies from landing on them.

My room was clean, the bed comfy, the shower was the best I had in all of Palawan and it was quiet at night. In general, the hotel was really clean, comfy, well designed and invited to chill and spend time there, offering fun and daily new activities or games you can participate in as well as relaxed areas to chill. Everything was like on the pictures and as advertised. I also really enjoyed the breakfast that included daily changing treats of local food in the buffet. What really made my time there stand out is the truly wonderful staff they had. From management to every single staff I met, it really amazed me how joyful, helpful, friendly and overall wonderful people all of them were. I felt so welcomed and really had a blast, they created an awesome atmosphere and stay for me! I'm very glad I chose to stay at Spin and would love to go again! If you're reading this, I can't thank all of the staff enough for making my stay so wonderful and creating this awesome experience that I will forever remember! I hope you're all doing great and wish you all the very best, you deserve it!!

That i didn't stay longer:(

The place was very tranquil. We loved that it was near the town proper but it was quiet around the hostel. It's relaxing. I also loved that the rooms are spacious. It accommodated us well during our stay. Breakfast was spot on 🤍 We loved the variety of food they served and how they energize us for a day of tours and wandering around el nido. Staff was superb!!! All very kind and accommodating. Always smiley, they made us feel at home at the hostel. I'd also like to commend and appreciate them for having remembered my request about my mom's birthday:) They put in the effort and time to make sure my request was met, and we're really touched by that. Hope we can stay again soon at Spin. It was a very lovely experience for our family:)

Breakfast is my favourite because they offer pandesal every day! I was happy with the room because I requested an upgrade and I eventually stayed in the same room as my first visit. The rooms were pretty clean and the beds are the best with soft pillows. Lastly, I appreciate how the staff were looking for me when they noticed I did not come home for a night because they noticed my room was untouched (cuz I stayed in Duli). I am grateful for how they look after their guest checking for their safety.

The smell of the drainage from the bathroom kind of needs deep cleaning. Other than that everything else is great!

All the staff was kind and helpful but Angelo was the highlight of my stay, he was kind, friendly, open and ready to give advice and make your stay even better. If you need to go somewhere, hire a tour or even a driver they are willing to help you in every way. also, the breakfast was soooo good and the bed super comfy

It’s not so easy to make friends in this hostel, I think they should put a social host and make activities for the guests to socialize. Also, cleaning the shared bathrooms more often and putting security at night as sometimes people would came drunk and start screaming at 3 am. but overall i would recommend the hostel
