Ahana Resort El Nido

The views cant be beat.

Technical issues with hot water and generator broke while there, they had to relocate us to another hotel.

The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The service was fantastic. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful bed and view from the room. The pool was really great for a late afternoon wind down with a view. It was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed there and feels like it is much more than 3 star. Delicious food.

The access road was in a very poor state after the rain, so had to walk up and down because it was too muddy for vehicles. Didn't mind it so much because its not that far, would be challenging for older people. Although the menu was delicious, it was very limited and not cheap. No fridge in room as they don't allow other drink to be brought in.

Location was amazing with a great view. Facilites brand new & tastefully decorated. Boutique style. The infinity pool is stunning for watching sunsets. Expensive good quality bed linens & attention to details both in rooms & common areas.

The location may not be for everyone as it’s up a steep track which requires a vehicle & might be too isolated. Wasn’t a problem for me as the isolation added to the experience. The generator is turned off leaving no power from 3pm for a few hours everyday. Ordering food proved difficult as the kitchen couldn’t accommodate without power & nor could you charge phones or use anything electrical in the rooms.

We loved this accommodation. We stayed at an AirBNB in El Nido for our initial stay to have easier access to the scuba diving and island hopping tours, and then moved to Ahana for the last few days of our stay for some R&R. Ahana still picked us up from our El Nido accommodation for free which was truly lovely with all our luggage. We had 2 luxurious days swimming and reading by the pool before heading back home to work. Highly recommend this place for some R&R at the end of a busy holiday!!

Personally we loved the out-of-the-way location and how there were minimal other guests. We only left once in two days (!) - I wouldn't recommend this location if you are wanting to access the centre of El Nido for food or activities. It was an easy walk down to the hill (5-10min) to get a tricycle if needed however we are young and fit and the road is quite steep, very rough and uneven. The accomodation does offer lifts up and down the driveway though to tricycles (which drive past every 5-10mins and just need to be waved down). Also FYI - payments are in cash or bank transfer only. We used the app Remitly (free bank transfers and excellent exchange rates!) which was very easy and would recommend downloading this for the Philippines anyway!

The staff team are all accommodating. The facilities and amenities are well maintained. The views are amazing, the sunset on the balcony and pool. Its far from the town but they offer free pick up/drop off even to the airport. Property is surrounded by nature on the top of the mountain so you’ll have the Birds Eye of Lio Beach and El Nido. Their Japanese restaurant is pretty good too.

Minor things like hot shower water on and off but it’s understandable as the power line in El Nido not stable though the property has back up generators and the property located in the mountain as well. The road uphill is pretty steep but manageable.

Ahana has an amazing view, you can see beautiful sunsets from there. The rooms are nice and with a nice view as well. The pool and the rest of the facilities are brand new, also, the staff are the most friendly and helpful people we saw in El Nido, they made our stay a very enjoyable experience.

The hotel is uphill on a road that is not yet constructed and therefore you can only get to the hotel on the 4x4 of Ahana which sometimes might not be available if you go out at night or need to go randomly to town or need your tour company to pick you up, this is a bit inconvenient.

Very cozy clean new hotel. Amazing view. If you want to spend time in silence without nosy traffic and people, it’s really the best place to do. We came there for one day to celebrate my birthday. I like the interior of the hotel with amazing panoramic swimming pool.

Hot water was always turned off, so we had to always asked administrators to turn it on. I marked that I had a birthday, but they ignored it. It’s not a big problem, but usually other hotels present fruits or cakes. Just wish you be more attentive to your guests 🤗

We loved our stay at Ahana Resort, the place is super stylish and has amazing views from the pool, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset with really nice cocktails. Food is nice and staff is super attentive. They also provide free transportation to the entrance of the resort and the road is quite hilly to go up and down. The room was beautiful with very quality taste in decoration. I highly recommend this place if you want to stay away from noise and enjoy peace and quiet surrounded by lovely nature.

Please add more hangers in the room and proper signage at the entrance of the resort so it is easier to locate place when driving a motorcycle.

Definitely it’s the view, stylish lobby and swimming pool. Staff were very friendly and polite. Restaurant was good enough.

Unfortunately, cups, that beautiful bathroom and windows were dirty, worth saying that they replaced the cups quickly. The hotel is situated on the hill and you have to walk about 300 metres, because after the rain the road could be slippery and it could be a dirty ‘trip’. But they have a transfer so you can ask for it.

The view from the resort is very stunning and perfect for watching sunsets. The food was always super delicious. Everytime we needed something the staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort even had some board and card games.

I would have liked to have a view parasols around the pool since the trees didn't always provide enough shadow for the sunbeds.
