Best Western El Dorado Panama Hotel

Nice clean property, good location.

Our good friends and travel companions, who are black, and from Jamaica complained that the Security Person followed them around excessively in what appeared to be a racially profiled motivation. Especiallyextreme in Panama, where all races have a roll in making Panama great, this type of behavior is obnoxious to say the least. John Brown, is my First Officer on my yacht and is quite dark-skinned as his family heritage is from the Congo. I am disgusted in the the extreme that I am having to write this comment! Needless to say, without a contact to arrange an apology, I will not use this property again.

The staff - Carolyne and Moisés - helped me find great activities and facilitate the communication when I could not locate the services - tours, transportation, food, markets, etc They went out of their way to make sure that I had a very pleasant experience in Panama City, with no stress about checking out later, on my last day, because one of my friends needed a rest day. The rooms, eating and pool areas were always pristine clean, and fresh smelling. The breakfast was always delicious, varied and plentiful.

The hotel location was perfect, we needed to be centrally located and this was perfect, close to shopping malls, restaurants and other businesses. The staff was very kind and helpful, which made for a very pleasant and quiet stay.

There was some renovation work going on for a few days while we were there, which meant unusual noise and the odd alarm going off in the middle of the night, but otherwise it was very calm and peaceful.

I had a nice breakfast almost every morning (the only times I didn't is because I had a tour that departed before breakfast. The room was larger than I expected, and had a dining area with a table and four chair. The location was very nice for me, it was easily within walking distance to what I wanted.

Quiet location, convenient for visiting Metropolitan park & Miraflores visitor centre. Appreciated being able to have early breakfast before going on organised tour. Nice to have a swim after morning tour, but pool not in sun for long.

Breakfast could be improved - cereals all very sweet, oatmeal too runny. More fresh fruit salad with pineapple, papaya & watermelon would be good. Not many restaurants nearby which catered for vegetarians - made good use of the microwave

Very close to the Metropolitan National Park, and short drive away from the Historic centre. Not too far from the airport. Close to a selection of Japanese and Chinese restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bubble tea spots within walking distance. I specifically chose this hotel for easy access to Asian food. Very nice and accommodating staff at the counter and gave suggestions on where to eat. You can also use the pool. Good continential breakfast. We were happy we were able to control the temperature of the room with AC.

The property put me in an area of town that I wanted to be near shopping and banking. there was also plenty of places to eat.

mostly, I thought the parking was very difficult to find a spot and then in the morning to maneuver around the small parking lot to get out

Location was excellent considering the major Chinese restaurants and several casinos were walking distance. Also the hotel was very close to highway (Corredor Norte) and very convenient for rent a car user. It seems that neighborhood around the hotel was quite safe and I walked even in midnight. Also the receptionists were always supportive and very kind. I really appreciated their support during my 3 nights.

Hotel is connected with restaurant Friday and parking was sometime crowded by the restaurant customers. Apparently the repair of the roof of hotel was making some noise in weekdays (especially on 11th October 2021). However it may be a temporary issue.

Location perfect, room very nice and spacious Breakfast I think can improve a little more or the staff has to be more specific in how you have to order. Maybe a bit of more variation and I will be the perfect stay

that they denied my cousin to visit me in the room at the hotel I think that if the hotel have that policy, it should me written somewhere of the staff has to inform the guests that it is not allowed

Very good breakfast included. No restaurant on site but a Fridays adjoins the property and there are many other options within an easy walk. The staff are very helpful. This is an older property but clean and well kept.

I have no complaints. This is my fourth stay, so I know what to expect.
