Palazzo Motor Lodge

Pretty much everything. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. The blanket and throw pillows I felt made a nice touch. It was nice to sit in front of the tv with a cosy blanket. The kitchenette was functional and had everything we needed. The room was very spacious, cute little balcony. Styled well and had nice little touches to make it feel like a home. Huge bathroom with spa bath. Toiletries were good quality as well.

No exhaust fan over the kitchenette, we managed to set the smoke alarm off twice however the silence alarm button was very handy in our situation. The main TV also could have been set more to the left so both chairs can sit centred to the tv but wasn’t a huge deal

Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower had amazing pressure, like a mini massage. I would stay here again just for that! Also being just around the corner from my conference location at the Rutherford Hotel was great! Loved having a seperate bathroom and living area, so my husband, who wakes up earlier than me, can get up and not disturb me. The nespresso coffee machine and milk frother was great. If only I knew, so I could have taken some capsules with me!

Our unit was next to the main road, and it was quite noisy during the day. Luckily after about 10pm there were not many cars on the road, so we could sleep ok, without earplugs, till about 7am anyway. I didn't know there was a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother in the room, so did not have nice Nespresso capsules and did not get soy milk, so could not use it 😭

This was my second or third stay here! Squeaky clean rooms. Kitchen facilities with a nice microwave, cooking top which I used to prepare a couple of meals as I have as special dietary requirements. They accommodated my late check in as I arrived on a later flight from Auckland. Nice staff. Convenient stroll into downtown area with nice shops and abundant restaurants. They stored my bag as I left to go hiking in Abel Tasman Park and returned to stay here at the Palazzo.

A bit of road noise. However, it was helpful to close the heavy curtains at night to reduce road noise. However, I really like staying here and plan to stay here again Ain future visits as I like Nelson.

Lovely host, wonderful room and exceptional facilities. Very clean throughout and made up to a high standard. The bathroom included a lovely jacuzzi tub and very pleasant local shower/bath products. To top it off, the lady at reception was wonderfully helpful and gave us tips on dinner and activities on the west coast. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

You need to buy sachets of bubble bath from the desk, which we didn't realise until reception closed. Would have been helpful to signpost this at check-in.

Location, so easy to walk everywhere. Tom - the replacement Manger was great! He allowed us access to the laundry, offered use of a clothes line & clothes horse as we stayed for 4 nights! We had trouble with the bathroom tap and he was there within a flash! The deluxe studio had good kitchen facilities, a spa and housekeeping was done every day by 2 very obliging staff! Bed very comfortable!

Found it very noisy on the Friday & Saturday nights/ early mornings with people walking on the street! Not necessarily their fault!

Great rooms! Very comfortable furnishings. It was thoughtful to have a coffee machine there and filtered water on tap. Lovely personal amenities and a spa bath. What's not to like?

Our room was fabulous but it was situated on the main road which meant we could hear the traffic. As this was a business trip we will request a quieter position next time

We LOVED this place. Everything you could think of at this property. Starting with knowledgeable and friendly owners who had suggestions for dinner and accommodated my frozen items in a freezer with no hesitation.Dinner suggestion was great. Kitchen had everything you could need plus a dishwasher. Room had massive tv with netflicks, blockout blinds, large lounge with a dining table to eat at and an outdoor seating area. Bathroom had bulk toiletries, plenty of towels, spa bath big enough for 2 of us and a heated towel rail AND mirror! Bedroom had plenty of plugs either side of bed, luggage rack wardrobe and of course the most important thing a comfy bed. Thanks for accommodating us downstairs as requested. We will be back.

I now know why this lodge has such great ratings! Stayed for 1 night for a work trip and it was all we needed in an accommodation. Nice and central, big modern rooms, bed was like sleeping on a cloud and even had ear plugs to drown out traffic noise if needed (we didn’t need them but was a nice touch!). The room even has a Nespresso machine for our morning coffee. The staff member who checked us in and out was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely stay again when we’re back in Nelson.

This is an award-winning motel and they deserve it. It is modern, clean, tastefully decorated. The bed was great, there is a huge spa tub, a well-equipped kitchen with pod coffee maker and a dishwasher. It’s an easy walk to the core of Nelson with lots of shops and restaurants.

The motel is located on a busy street so there is traffic noise. We weren’t bothered at night when the windows were shut, but it was noticeable on the outdoor patio.

The friendly welcome at the front desk and the useful information regarding nearby amenities (including a map!) The room was very well presented and clean, instructions were provided for using the coffee machine etc. Double glazing on the windows was effective at blocking noise from the street. We loved the spacious bathroom too. It's a great location, very close to the main shopping streets, bars and restaurants.

We couldn't fault it! Highly recommended.
