the bellhop

The bellhop is located at (probably) THE hippest street in Rotterdam; expect it to be busy and noisy because people are sitting outside, having drinks and a good time. However, it is not a problem to sleep with the outside noise from the street - the windows seemed to be isolated properly and there's also ear plugs for the sensitive guests. ;) The room size is fine when you prepare to be on the go anyways and you're only coming back to shower, get ready and sleep (or hang out by yourself). I really liked the simplicity of the stay; the FLEXIPASS app worked fine, I had no issues checking-in or -out and the staff was very helpful.

The shower/toilet situation is a little suboptimal: once you've showered, it's pretty much impossible to use the toilet without stepping into the remains of your shower water which might cause a mess after you've used the toilet because your shoes are wet and there's no way to put a towel on the ground (the shower door pushes it away). Don't know how to solve this problem (I'm open for feedback ;) ) but other than that: no downsides whatsoever for "the bellhop".

Great hotel in the middle of the popular street with a lot of restaurants and bars. Super lovely staff who helped us carrying up the luggage and were always available for questions. Easy check in with the an App and super clean room.

The hotel doesn't have a functioning elevator and stairs are very steep, so maybe nothing for elderly people. Room is super nice though small and bathroom is technically in the room. Good for solo travelers or longterm couples but maybe not for friends.

perfect location just downtown. nice, clean design. comfy room. they are small but functional. everything was new and perfectly clean. gorgeous staff, you can work and sip a cup of tea in the café downstairs! rotterdam itself is amazing, with great museums and a stunning environment, cool destination if you are into art and photography! everything was at my fingertips on foot! :) i ll be back for sure.

if you are used to silence at night, consider the road may be loud in weekends. the glasses of the windows are excellent though. if you have any physical condition or are traveling with bulky luggages, consider the steep stairs and ask for a lower floor. if you are traveling with a fresh date, consider the basin is beside the bed and not into the bathroom so some intimacy is a pre requirement! ;)

Cute room (just like in the photos), friendly staff, very central location, comfortable bed, good shower. I had drinks once as well as breakfast and both was delicious as well.

The central location has a down side - it's noisy. :) The street is very lively as people sit in restaurants outside but it also means that it does not get quiet until about 4 a.m. Also, the room does not get really dark which for me meant that I did not sleep much.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! The window was very well soundproofed, we were barely disturbed by the late night hustle bustle of the street below. The location was great, lots of restaurants and bars close by.

We were on the top floor and the stairs were very steep. The water in the shower didn't get as hot as I usually like it but otherwise very good shower pressure. Could have done with a kettle in the room.

The staff was super nice! The room was small but cozy, everyhing was clean, bed was comfy. The location / the area of the hotel was great. Also there is a parking garage close by.

It didn’t bother us but the hotel is located on a lively street. If you need total silence to have a good night sleep this might not be the right place for you. Also the stairs (no elevator available) are rather steep - for some people maybe too steep/narrow.

Completely different concept of Hotel: young, fresh and stylish. Everything is new and the staff is super nice. Recommended for the youngesters. In the heart of the night life area. Very fun and quite noisy too.

The size of the room is amazingly small and you cant really think of a "Hotel" as you know it. big minus: No Elevator Be aware it is in the main street so it can get noisy The shower is attached to the toilet, crystal screen and no privacy whatsoever; go there with someone you close to.

it’s really interesting place to stay, great cafe and bar downstairs on the hippy street. easy access to the city centre by metro and tram. you can have more explore around Rotterdam easily. great food, coffee and drinks there.

Need to increase the brightness of lights in stairways. no English subtitles on freeview for my Deafness.

Location in the center of the party district in Rotterdam with cosy coffee shop at the ground floor to have breakfast. Small room but all necessary comfort is present (airconditioning, shower, toilet etc.).

Parking fee in the public parking lot nearby costs 30 euro per day, so it's better to travel by public transport. Avoid this place if you have difficulties with stairs or noise during the night.
