Thamel Grand Hotel

This hotel is located in a very peaceful place and near to the Thamel local market. The hotel staff were very helpful. At the front desk office, Buddha Limbu and Karuna Baniya were very helpful and honest. They tried their best to meet all of our expectations. The other staff, Rehan and Rupak did their job well. The Continental Breakfast served in Black Olives was really good. They promised to improve their services and add some more facilities in the hotel. However, we wish there should be daily room cleaning facility without having to request in advance. We would love if you could add a dressing mirror in the bed room as well. Thank you all for providing us with good services and being nice to us during our stay.

The stuff was very friendly and was ready to meet any request. The hotel is in Thamel, the very noisy area, but it is super calm there. There was a hot shower all day around, the breakfast was provided in the cafe nearby and was super delicious. Everything was great actually, nothing is to complain about.

Hotel had nice rooms and luggage storage when we were trekking. Restaurant next door was good. Location in Thamel area.

Walking up the stairs was an effort after we had been trekking.

The breakfast at the front of the hotel was fantastic and great value for money.

The lack of lifts was a bit annoying, being on one of the upper floors, but luckily the staff assisted in getting my bags up and down.

Clean hotel, friendly staff

No 24 hour hot water

Excellent location in the heart of the Thamel area. Responsive and caring staff. We left our luggage at the hotel for 2 weeks of the EBC trek, everything was safe and sound. It was very nice to stay here.

The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will come back after trekking for sure.

Nothing, fair price for accomodations

The receptionist Buddha Limbu was very helpful and friendly. He offered us a deluxe family room with a private balcony on a higher floor. But there's no elevator. We chose to stay on the first floor. Had to adjust four of my family members including my little girls, my wife and myself in one room with only three single beds.

I don't feel good to point out negative things but when my kids were sleeping at night, some drunk women and men were shouting very badly in the hotel's garden.

Hotel at prime location with excellent rates My husband and myself had a stay at this hotel for two days in a deluxe room. It was a very pleasant stay. The staff was very cooperative. The rooms are very clean. There is a restaurant Olives cafe which provides excellent food. I would say they provide the best food in Kathmandu. Still relish the taste of their authentic dal bhat and pad thai noodles. The staff does everything to make the stay a pleasant one. Really happy . Will definitely recommend this place. The location is at the center of the most happening place in Kathmandu. They also provided us an early check-in without any fuss.
