Everything fabulous! I have stayed in Nepal multiple times over the few years and in cities namely Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Dailekh. I must admit my stay at Avataar has been one of the best so far. Even in the current COVID climate the hotel staff did their best to make our stay pleasurable. The room was spacious with balcony and it had all the amenities such as microwave, fridge, heater, locker etc. The water was hot and AC heater was in good order. Neat clean room with very good room service. Breakfast was excellent and my favourite was “puri bhaji” Iwhich I definitely recommend. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The director Jagdish was such a humble gentleman who treated us as his own family. From reception to the kitchen, staff were excellent and I particularly thank the great chef & housekeeping staff. I highly recommend this facility and will definitely stay here again.

Nothing to dislike, but clarify about the daily room services.Towards the end I was advised that they usually service the room few times a week.

First thing on arrival,was the bright smile of the reception team,which made you realize you were going to enjoy your stay.,The first morning at breakfast, I met 2 of the owners,who are so friendly, and interacted with their guest,and as I observed treated their staff really well.The guys in the restaurant were friendly, and when possible I was able to have a good talk with them.House keeping staff were friendly and on return to my room at the end of the day the room was spotlessly clean..I certainly will return to this hotel in the future. The team at Avataar are amazing, so if your looking for a place check Avataar out ,top team top location

Check in was smooth and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered a welcome drink and we were kindly helped with our bags to our room. The breakfast was really great, with hot and cold options. The room was clean and the bed was huge and very comfortable. There was consistent hot water and the shower was very powerful. They have a travel information office with an extremely employee who helped us plan our buses to Sauraha/Pokhara.

Our room was on the main street, so could be a little noisy, but this isn't out of the ordinary for a weekend on the streets of Kathmandu. There was a slight smell of stale smoke in our room, but it did improve throughout our time there.

Well this is my second review of Avataar Kathmandu Hotel,I said in first review that I would go back there and 3 days later I returned. The team there are amazing, so helpful, caring and willing to spend time with their guests. Had alot of laughs with the guys there.its in a good location.its exceptional clean,the breakfasts were great,Good high energy breakfast to give you energy to go out and explore the wonders of Nepal.

The hotel is in middle of Thamel area. The Owner (Mr.Jacz) was very kind and amazing. He solved everything for our EBC trekking, arranged Kathmandu tour, Chituwan safari tour. And every issue which he arranged was perfect. We stayed in hotel 3 times, before EBC trek 1 night, after EBC trek 2 nights, after Chituwan Safari 1 night. We had left our excess lugde in hotel. All rooms that we stayed was clean, nice comfortable beds, and avarage breakfast.

Breakfast is OK but could be some better.

Location is excellent, right in the center of Thamel. For a budget hotel this is excellent value for the money. Breakfast is a bit skimpy, but so are most hotels in Nepal. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We would stay there again on our next trip

Hmmm....that is a tough one. Considering that this is a budget hotel I can't really think of one that would be justified.

The location was perfect as it was at Thamel, the shopping hub. The staff were friendly and provided us all types of requests we had. Overall we had a good stay

The rooms r relatively small compared to shown in photos. The toilet was weirdly constructed. Lastly, the switches were not workong which was frustrating as I was struggling to charge my mobile. All electrical sockets were loose. Also TV never worked and they did not bother to make it right

Good value for money. Got free room upgrade to Executive Suite. Spacious room, almost like an apartment, with bathtub, airconditioning and big comfortable bed. All staff was forthcoming and I didn't experience any issues with them.

There was smell of old in my room, wet corner, that's all. I recommend Avataar

great quiet location in Z street Thamel ! friendly helpful staff ! good value for money ! definitely would stay here again best of the 4 hotels we have stayed in this trip

there was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel! The new cafe in the foyer when finished next week will add to the appeal of the property

Everything is okay Clean, beautiful, luxurious and the rooms are large

The food, frankly, was unexpected and not according to expectations. Everyone needs a good chef who can cook all types of food quickly Because breakfast is very simple food of the standard of a respectable hotel
