Hotel Thamel

I loved staying at Hotel Thamel. The accommodations are great, the rooms are clean, the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel is located in the center of Thamel, so close to lots of shops and easy to get around. The staff are extremely kind and welcoming, available for whatever I needed. When I got sick with the flu at the hotel the manager checked on me daily and even brought me a fruit basket! I'll definitely stay here on my next trip to Kathmandu.

My recent stay at the thamel. The Hotel in Nepal was an absolute delight, leaving me with cherished memories and a strong desire to return. From the moment I stepped foot on the property until the end of my stay, the hotel's commitment to excellence and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of their service. Nestled in a serene and picturesque location, the Hotel offers a tranquil retreat away from the bustling city. The ambiance is simply breathtaking, with beautifully landscaped gardens and traditional architecture that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Nepal. As soon as I arrived, I immediately felt a sense of calm and tranquility enveloping me.

The hotel is tucked away from the busy street. It was very clean with a friendly staff. The charging outlets all worked well. The room had a hot water shower and a well flushing toilet. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, juice, croissants, a variety of cooked hot dishes, Eggs, coffee and tea. Across the street there was a great restaurant, Avocado Cafe which served a great variety of food.

There was nothing that I disliked about this property.

amazing location and surprisingly quiet. considering that you stay in the middle of Thamel possibility of late check out pick from airport works perfect really comfortable beds also for tall people good shower - well after trekking for many days , shower with strong pressure was amazing . But after the shower everything will wet including toilet which one is next to it, but we didn’t mind internet works good breakfast ok whole day and night there is security guard , which will welcome you everyday with big smile and will wish a great day lift

we visited hotel twice ;) because we like it so much , but second time we stayed on higher floor. in the morning there are many trackers starting their journey, and noise from the front can be disturbing. ( we stayed first on the first floor) . But second time we stayed on 5 floor and we didn’t hear any noise .

Great location and great staff. Hotel Thamel is centrally located and just off a main street. The staff are warm and friendly and will ensure all of your needs are met. The hotel has terrific hot showers! We liked the rooms with a balcony that let the sunshine in. We like hotel Thamel so much that we stayed 3 times when we first arrived, between our treks and before we went home. During our last stay, i was very sick and all the staff checked on me to make sure I was doing okay and getting better. They even brought me flowers!!

Breakfast could be kept a bit warmer. And there could be other Nepali choices instead of only Western food items.

Hotel Thamel is in a great location and is just off a main road, so it is calm and quiet. The rooms are nice especially the ones with a balcony. The staff are warm and generous with their hospitality. I stayed here before and after my treks. During my last stay, I was very sick and was there for a week. The staff, Prem, Bishnu, Sabina, and Rabin are the best. They checked on me everyday to make sure I was as comfortable as possible and if i needed anything.And, Pema, the boss, is one the nicest people I've met. Hotel Thamel has the best hot showers!

The breakfast could be a little warmer and perhaps some Nepali food could be included besides just Western food.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful, provided the water boiler and helped with all the questions. We changed our plan and needed to leave at 1:30 am, so they pack breakfast for us. Great location: everything is few minutes walk. Relatively clean.

No view: window is facing the wall. Only one socket barely worked with europlug. Bathroom organization: after shower everything is wet, and there is nothing to dry the floor.

Stayed in Hotel Thamel together with my son a couple of times before and after our hiking trips. We had a flexible schedule and this was absolutely no problem for the staff. Everyone was very very friendly and eager to help at all times to arrange trekkings, buses, taxis etc. The location is perfect, in the heart of Thamel, with a lot of sun on the terraces during the day. Very clean rooms. Definitely going back on next visit to Nepal.

It's is really a nice place to spend time with your family, friends and partner. Friendly staff, nice view from rooftop, cozy dining area and clean room. Loved talking with staff😃😃.Also it's very affordable ✌️✌️.

The property situated in the heart of the THAMEL, Ktm. Easily accessible for down time with family and couple. BARGAIN price!!!! I am pretty sure you would not able to get it with other.

Rear of the property is blocked with no views at all. Best advice to book room at the opposite of the road or entrance of the hotel.
