The people that work at Alaya are all so wonderful. The location is great, beds are comfy, food is phenomenal! Our plan for Tulum was to just relax and Alaya was the perfect place. Quiet but in walking distance to the fun. Their coffee & food were excellent but also could walk across the street for tacos/pizza/ice cream/poke/bowls/music. Beds on the beach were always available. We ate breakfast in bed, lunch on the beach and had an easy walk to dinner. yoga in the morning was included so was a ginger shot to start your day. ordering room service via WhatsApp was really nice and convenient.

It is difficult to put the magic of this place into words. The location is perfect in walking distant of all great restaurants, bars etc. The rooms are great (room number 2 and 1 are the best by far of the house that they rent) But the service level of the staff is what makes this place unforgettable. It all started with the first encounter at the reception with Taned.. Very friendly, funny and accomadating person, Muy simpatica.. The waiters at the beach are quickly becoming friends and that is what makes you feel like special. With the risk of forgetting some names I would like to say please ask for Fernando (aka tiburon) and Ismael (aka Cochi) if you want to spend your vacation laughing and all your needs being met. They remember your preferences, beach beds and think ahead. Service with a smile and quicker than lightning. No mañana aqui. Ricardo (tio) will also attend to all your needs and always has a great story to tell. I will be back here and it is because the hotel is great but especially because the service is impeccable. This place was a perfect place to enjoy Tulum. our Garden Villa was nestled within the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony with views of the pretty hotel and sea in the background. this hotel is perfectly located - we did not have any late night noise so slept well, but so close to all the restaurants that can easily walk to the heart of the party district. If you are coming by car they have a place to park and loved that they provided plenty of water in the room. The coffe with cookies every morning was a great touch. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Fantastic hotel with fantastic rooms and great staff. Great access to the beach front with a lovely private area for hotel guests. Staff from the front of house through to the housekeepers were amazing and always lovely. A great property to stay at in Tulum.

Hard to find anything negative, however, one thing would be the relatively poor security of the room with only a little latch locking in the patio doors. Would recommend to the hotel maybe something a bit stronger. However there was enough security walking around the hotel that made us feel secure.

We had such a great experience overall, the property is simply amazing. Staff is lovely as well, special thanks to David, Tanet, Raul, Ricardo and Fernando for making our stay there even more beautiful. Food is delicious (best shrimp tacos) and the complementary coffee is a nice touch. Location is excellent, in walking distance from everything. We had the chance to try both Partial Ocean View Suite and the Garden Apartment. Both are great with some differences. While the Garden Apartment has more space, it is noisier because of the road. If you want to hear the sound of the waves in the night, go for the Partial View Suite.

Nothing comes to my mind, maybe prices, but this is Tulum beach 🙂

Perfect stay thanks to the amazing facilities and staff here (special thanks to Reyes!). The room was spacious and had everything we needed - great attention to detail. The gorgeous little terrace looking over the beach was made even nicer when we were brought tea and coffee in the morning. The customer service was great - the staff were all so kind and friendly and could not have done more to help us. Food was great and good value compared to the expensive food at the other nearby restaurants/beach clubs.

Expensive but that’s what you get for staying in this area and directly on the beach. Quite difficult to find cheap food options as even to get to downtown tulum (more casual/cheap restaurants and street food) it is 25 USD one way. Apparently prices were inflated due to covid and staying in December. We did go to downtown once and would recommend if you want some culture and local food.

Great location, nice room and bathroom

The location is beautiful right on the beach if your looking for something quite and cozy about 4 mi from Tulum town. The staff is great everyone was really accommodating thank you to Esmale, Henry, David, Francisco and Samuel for an incredible stay!

This is an eco friendly hotel as most are on the beach so there is no A/C from 10am-6pm but you spend most of your time at the beach anyways.

Brilliant location, a cool treehouse style hotel, and lovely staff! The beach is amazing & hotel was clean. This hotel is great for people interested in yoga and healthier food/lifestyle

Our room was above reception by the road, we booked very last minute so we’re grateful for the hotel squeezing us in but would prefer a room closer to the beach as we could hear some of the background music/noise from the neighbouring restaurants and food vendors. One of the rooms closer to the beach would have made our stay perfect.

The food was delicious, the view exceptional, the room very beautiful and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Tanet was especially lovely and supportive of us during our arrival and stay.

It was a bummer that we could not flush toilet paper down the toilet, but I can understand that the plumbing was likely old or challenging.
