Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall Adults Only - All Inclusive

The property is huge. Especially as it has a sister hotel right next door with shared amenities. The room was very spacious, with lots of wardrobe space, a great room service menu, a huge incredibly well equipped gym, a wonderful spa and beach and a great selection of restaurants open throughout the day. It’s the perfect place to spend a holiday if you have a family as there are lots of activities run daily.

We paid an astronomical price for a swim up suite, only to find it was in a part of the hotel that got no sun. This was hugely disappointing as it meant the pool was cast in darkness, so it was too cold to swim in and there was no sun to be able to sunbathe privately. The spa (and any products you want to buy in it) is also very expensive. Spirits are also not included in the free minibar and I’m not sure what kind of package you’d need to buy to include this. We’re presuming only the butler package as it wasn’t included in our premium one. The resort is easy to get to, but there’s nothing else around it, so do expect to pay for tours and taxis if you want to visit Montego Bay.

The resort was beautiful! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was great for an all-inclusive; however, the Brazilian restaurant has not reopened after Covid which was a bummer because that menu looked like one of the better ones. Calypso and the Jerk Hut were the best for breakfast and lunch. Urban Eats and the French restaurant were best for dinner. We didn't get a chance to try the Italian place but it also looked good. We did a couples dinner on the beach (extra $$) but well worth it for a fancier customized menu.

While the location was convenient to the airport and in a safe location, we felt the beach scene was seriously lacking. There was not really much beach at all to speak of, just one small adults only area and two other very small family beach areas. You certainly couldn't take long walks down the beach (only about 50-100yds at most) as the beachline was non-existent and really rocky. We would much rather have stayed on 7 mile beach (Negril) where there were lots of local restaurants and bars and activities up and down the 7mile stretch of beach.

Breakfast was excellent and we loved the variety of cuisines. We appreciated the professionalism of all of the staff. It was a pleasure to be able to B catered to without much waiting for service. The amenities are excellent and it’s a place that we will return to time and again.

The blackbirds drinking the water. Lol. We felt that the air conditioning in the room at times was a bit too much though we were able to adjust it. There wasn’t much that we did not like but next time we will try to get a room on the lower floor where we can step into the small pools and lounge chairs. The ability to be in the sea would have been good without the rocky surface. Devon house ice cream would’ve been great in place of the ice cream we had. These are very small dislikes but overall it was a wonderful experience. Thank you.

I enjoyed the service and food the most. The food was best food I've had. The Butler service was great. Everyone made sure my wife and I had everything we needed.

If I had to to say one thing it would just be the event noise was loud. During the day it was pretty lively. Which if you dont mind that it is great. There are other parts of the resort to go to and relax.

This resort is the best resort I have been to and I am 70 years old. We were in the adults only building. They were cleaning and painting nonstop the whole property. Our room was clean and very well kept. The beds were comfortable and it had a heavy comforter which was nice for the air condition. Our room was large the bathroom was so large it looked like a handicap bathroom. There were two chairs on the balcony leading to the water. These were so comfortable we kept falling asleep in them. They also had two loungers sitting in the water two feet away from these chairs. SWIM UP POOL - We had the largest swim up area out of all the other canals, and had the most shade during the day. Our swim up area which was by the GYM was the most secluded, we had bushes and no walkway going by us. Some of the swim ups had no blockage other swim ups went right into the large pool area. Our small area pool water was always clean even though it did not go directly into the large pool. BEACH - The beach was clean they raked it in the morning all seaweed was gone it was clean looking. The water had stones of all sizes you need WATER SHOES. You could go down to the children beach and walk in the water and swim. FOOD – Most of the food was in the first building the buffet was in front of amphitheater. We tried all of the restaurants and our favorite restaurant was right in our adult building. URBAN HEATZ had a wonderful breakfast or they also had a breakfast buffet you could eat from both. They also had mimosa and bloodymarys, we took ours on the beach. Every morning we were greeted by a hostess (Danielle) she made us feel special she would remember our names and take us to our favorite table. The food was so good we ate dinner there the rest of our trip, a must to have hot fudge chocolate brownie. Our waitress was so kind (Tashelle) not sure of the spelling of her name, but she worked the shift at 6pm, she made us feel like family. In the lobby they had drinks

Two negative things – there was an electric SPRAY air freshener in the hallway. I am allergic to all sprays every time we would walk up the hallway I would sneeze and my nose would run for about an hour. There was a food cart that was metal, the employees would run this cart all hours of the night. It was very loud would wake us up every night. SUGGESTION get a plastic cart!

All of the food exceeded our expectations and was quick and easy to obtain with lots of variety. The staff was beyond kind and friendly and helpful! Our room was also beautiful and we enjoyed our large balcony.

One day we didn’t have anyone clean. It took a while for food trays to be cleared from the hallway. Dampness in room led to pillows that had an unpleasant odor.

Excellent well run hotel. I’ve been to Jamaica 3 times in the past and by far this hotel and staff experience exceeded them all!

NOTHING negative to report. Every person we came in contact with from the Hyatt transportation at airport, to the entire hotel staff until the time we left was absolutely sensational. And I am not one for writing reviews. My spouse and I said we can no longer say we don’t like Jamaica this resort experience and the people we came in contact with there have changed our perception.

The staff at the resort is doing AMAZING job everyone will have fun. There are lots of restaurants which offers lots of food types (the food is pretty good). The room is nice and for me the best part is the hotels pools. there are 2 main pools which were very fun to stay at. The bartenders in the pool make awesome drinks. The hotel is making sure the entire staff is always with masks (we stayed for 10 days and never saw any of the staff without masks), they also make sure everyone uses a Hand Sanitizer wherever they enter. We had a great time and certainly will come back to the hotel for another vacation.

So much to do at the resort! They had some kind of entertainment every day and night…so much fun

I expected our room to be a little nicer. I was going by the pictures I seen on the booking site. didn’t really match up. the room was ok…swim up pool was nice

The entire resort is a dream! Because of it’s size there is always something to do. they make great drinks and serve even better meals! We stayed on the Zilara side, the pool was always popping! Xavio & Samantha (Bartender & Towls) were so great! They made our stay memorable! Samantha even remembered our names and we are HUGE on customer service! We are definitely visiting again! We “FINNA” turn up! lol

The bathroom door handle was broken so we couldnt get inside for hours, which was a huge inconvenience considering we had an excursion that day and needed to get in for hygenic purposes. they came in an fixed it later but it was annoying. nevertheless, it got fixed so no harm no foul.
