Crowne Plaza Milan Malpensa Airport, an IHG Hotel

Very clean, comfortable room, close to the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing!

We wanted to take the shuttle from the airport and I had marked that in my booking, but we couldn’t get in contact with the hotel when we arrived, so we ended up taking a taxi. Not a huge deal, but if there could be clearer communication in the future for how people can ensure a shuttle will be there to pick them up if requested, that would be lovely. :)

Location of the hotel was good, room size was good too.

Staff did not help properly in getting bus shuttle form airport. I had to make multiple call to get the right direction from airport to hotel and staff was very keen to sell 15 Euro taxi ride form airport to hotel.

After a horrendous experience of delayed-then-cancelled rebooked flights, we have to stay a night in MXP. I‘m glad, we were able to book here in Crowne Plaza, and stayed for a night (Dec. 7-8). It was a last-minute booking, and arrived around 9:00 PM. The two young ladies in the reception were so friendly and helpful to our needs. I can say, they ease our sorrow for our ordeal. We’re really thankful to them. Our room’s clean, and bed was comfortable. There’s a restaurant in a hotel. Thank God they were still open, and we had a decent dinner here. Breakfast is also good.

Nothing to mention.

The shuttle bus service needs more explanation in advance of booking the accommodation, to prevent the disappointment we experienced. When making the room reservation we were told we could only book the shuttle bus at check in (I emailed specifically to request the bus), however on check in we were told the time (and next nearest) we required the use of the bus to make our flights was fully booked. We therefore had to get up at 5:45am to use the shuttle and arrived unnecessarily early. The point of paying the premium charge to stay so close to the airport was to avoid this! The alternative we were told was “use the public bus then” - if this was our choice we would have stayed somewhere much cheaper! The staff member was empathetic, but the process is misleading and expensive.

I liked everything - the hotel is a few minutes from the airport, its quiet, relaxed, efficient - the staff are friendly and welcoming. Airport hotels are well known for overpriced microwaved food, basic accommodation and transient customers who are never coming back - once you are in the marble lobby of the Crowne Plaza, you forget you are in an airport hotel, which allows you to relax and rest before your onward journey.

nothing to report - you could whinge it might need a little modernisation here and there, that the sauna isnt included in the price, the steam room doesnt work etc - but do they really detract from the over all experience? - NO

Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, who gave us 2 connecting rooms, which was ideal for our family.

I would have liked information about getting to/from Maplensa T2 to be included in the listing. We eventually found out there is a free shuttle....not mentioned on the listing. It's a 5 minute walk from the hotel. When we asked at the hotel, they first tried to sell us a €25 ticket for transfer to the airport. I thought that was a bit cheeky considering there is a free shuttle.

Location - it's a few minutes from the airport but sells itself as being at the airport Staff, while effiencent, offered us no help with bags at 2.30am when we arrived . The right-hand lift is not balanced correctly and sinks Isb charging socket broken in our room

It is not somewhere I would choose to eat, but the soup I had was surprisingly good for an airport hotel with a very quiet dining room. Every staff I interacted with was very helpful, professional and friendly.

Of course the hotel isn’t in a beautiful location with nice walks close by, but you wouldn’t expect that from an airport hotel. It wasn’t clear where we should catch the free shuttle to the airport. We waited about 15 minutes at a stop that still had signage but apparently was no longer in service.

Stranded at Malpensa airport after lengthy flight delays from Australia. Arrived MXP just before midnight. Hotel staff arranged a pickup at about 1.00 am, after we had passed through immigration and bag collection. Check-in was friendly, quick and seamless. Room was super clean, very quiet and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well worth the expense. Your staff transformed a nightmare journey into something much more pleasant. Thank you.

Absolutely nothing.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay at Crown Plaza Malpensa. The rooms was immaculate clean, reception staff were professional and very friendly (both evening and morning). We paid for the breakfast when booked but thought we would not be able to have it as we had to leave too early. It appeared that they serve breakfast from 5am which was very convenient and highly appreciated. They have restaurant downstairs that works till 22:30pm and offers very good variety of food and reasonable prices. I booked it via Booking.com and read the reviews which were ok. Later I read the google reviews and freaked out, as they were bad. Based on our experience as of October 2022, we were very happy with the service we received. I would give 5* for everything in the hotel, the only downside is the airport shuttle. The location isn’t the most convenient and if you take Free Shuttle from the airport, you have to walk around 600m on the road (which didn’t look safe during a night). The hotel offers shuttle service for Euro 15 per room. I think that should be offered for free or included in the room price . Nevertheless we used it on the morning and it was very convenient, especially because it was raining outside (Believe me you would not want to walk under the rain on that road as it’s muddy and dirty there). Thank you for having us, we enjoyed the room, breakfast and the hotel service
