Novotel Milano Malpensa Aeroporto

It was not clear in the advertising of the property that the hotel shuttle would cost $25 per trip. This was a significant disappointment, as we travelled to and from the airport on four occasions. I would have appreciated knowing this beforehand.

Whilst there has been criticism regarding the location being a bit away from the airport, this is the area that all the major hotels are situated ie ibis etc. It proves that any closer to the airport is not possible or appropriate and this should NOT be a criticism of the hotel...before you book you should always check this, surely...don't blame your lack of research to criticise the hotel's location. A 5 Euro shuttle per person to the airport more than makes up for it...

There was nothing we didn't like, although accessing food outside of the hotel facilities would have been difficult. We ate dinner in the restaurant as a result and the food was good.

It was good that the hotel was next to the airport. The train is at the airport which costs $13EU and will take you to the town centre. The shuttle needs to be booked ahead of time and runs every 30min between the hours of 6am-12pm & 6pm -11pm and the cost is $5EU/person. Restaurant & Bar food was good. The jazz night added a delightful element, enhanced further by the subdued lighting and table lamps, which created an inviting ambiance. The hotel was clean & the staff was friendly in their Italian way!

Being close to the airport is convenient but the cost of transportation is expensive. The shuttle cost is $25EU/person between the hours of 12pm to 6pm and your ride needs to be reserved ahead of time. Taxi costs $22 EU for a 7min drive to the hotel and Uber for a 30min drive to the mall is around $80EU. There are no convenience stores or restaurants that are walking distance. The hotel is clean but it should get a makeover to make it feel warmer and more welcoming. Right now, it's pretty cold looking with too much empty spaces. The restaurant feels more like a nice cafeteria but at Jazz night the dim lighting and table lamps gave it a warm elegant feel.

The location is great. For an overnight in Malpensa is one of your best options. Very close to the airport, with a transportation service that picks you up there and brings you at the hotel in 5 min (it costs 5€ per person). Breakfast was good, not great but good. Bacon was definitely not good (boiled and extremely greasy), but they had a good selection of bakery products, which I really loved. I am sorry I wasn't able to use the pool, but it looks pretty nice, and the pool area looks lovely with sunbeds and a nice area where you can relax drinking something.

What I didn't like was the size of our room. For 150$ for a single night, we were given a room that was about 20 m², with the toilet door right next to the bed. And because we were traveling with a 4 year old, they had prepared a sofa bed next to the actual bed that was as big as the bed itself. So we had literally 0 space to move around the room.

Hotel is beautiful and i enjoyed the facilities

Staff has too much bad attitude, from reception to bar staff. It was general to the Italian country everywhere we went so it must be cultural but customer service needs improvement as italians have too much bad attitude for no reason like they are unhappy in their life.

Transport arranged between the airport and hotel made arrival super easy (& cost effective). We had a family room which was perfect for four of us and the sofa bed was comfy. Swimming pool was great and there was a lifeguard on duty. Breakfast was good for €15 for adults (free for the kids). Front of house staff friendly and helpful

We left two items in the room, including our son's watch. We emailed quickly about this upon realising the following morning but we were told that housekeeping had not found anything which was disappointing. Our fault of course for leaving items but a disappointing outcome nonetheless.

We stayed only one night, to get an early flight the next day. The hotel is really comfortable, the room clean, not noisy and it was close to the airport. They have a restaurant, where we ordered good pizzas. They provide a shuttle for a small cost, but we had to hire a transfer because of the time of our flight, which they helped with (they hired the service by phone for us, for 35 euros for 5 people) and it worked well for us. When we did the check-out at 3am, they offered free croissants, coffee and milk at the lobby, which was great.

It is not a good option to do tourism in Milan, because it is far away from the main sightseeing spots in the city.

It is the best option near Malpensa. The restaurant is good for an evening meal before an international flight, it is very comfortable and reasonably clean.

The shuttle from the airport used to be free, now it costs as much as a taxi, and it is much more uncomfortable to find on arrival. It's ok from the hotel to the airport (still costs). Basically add between 40/50 euros to your room price depending on the time you arrive and leave.

It is a very comfortable hotel, great staff, and good restaurant - essential if you fly out in the morning after on a long flight and need a good dinner. A bonus: windows do open! Don't expect great views, but you are not there for the location in itself.

The shuttle from and to the airport is €20 or €30 each way depending on the time of the day, which adds considerably to the price of your stay. It used to be free, and the last time I stayed there in 2019 it was a lot cheaper. This and the actual waiting time for the shuttle made me rethink the wisdom of staying at a hotel some 10kms from the airport. That said, it is a nice hotel.

10 minutes from the airport. Close enough to save time in arriving and departing. Far enough to avoid noises from aeroplanes. Room was clean, spacious. Bathrooms were brilliant with enough needed toiletries. Fridge and coffee/tea making facility within the room. Lovely swimming pool and gym. The sofa bed for a 3rd person sleeping was very comfortable unlike some other hotels we have stayed at.

The SMART TV had no internet I believe and we couldn't use it to cast our mobile/laptop screens even though it had the facility. Would be nice to have some free soft drinks in the mini fridge :)
