The room was quite good and the private balcony had a good view of Positano. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. There was ample choice for breakfast and the breakfast area had a good setting with view of Positano.

The location. It was 15/20 minutes downhill from the beach area. There were around 50/60 steps down to reach the hotel from the street level. To reach the beach area first you had to climb 50/60 steps to reach the street level and from there was walk downhill of about 20 minutes. The 'Interno-Positano' bus service was also not an option to reach the hotel from the beach area as it was always crowded and you had to stand in the bus for 20/25 minutes before you reached the hotel street. Either walk uphill for about 30/40 minutes uphill (depending upon your fitness/condition level) or take a taxi for €20/25.

Absolutely loved loved loved Casa Teresa. Clean, comfortable and situated in a beautiful part of Positano… The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast provided was delicious… the property itself is very well kept and a lot of care and time has obviously been taken to make it feel so homely.

Nothing! Only thing to consider for travellers with reduced mobilty/young kids is that it is not directly accessible via road so have to take steps down to property.

Emmanuela and her mom were amazing! This location is perfect. No matter what, you will find many steps in Positano, but for the price and location it’s great. Plus Positano has a luggage service (for a fee) that can take your items to hotel. You are near the main Piazza. Spotless room. The breakfast included was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

The room was great, the balcony was perfect. Breakfasts were fine, a lot of choices, and great cappuccino. Wish they had more fresh fruit! Front desk Emmanuel was really nice and helpful. Beautiful place.

We wish that they had warned us that it was almost impossible to bring our suitcases by ourselves to the bed-and-breakfast. They had to arrange a porter, €10 per suitcase. Each way.

As generally agreed by other reviewers, we (a retired couple) found our stay at Casa Teresa to be delightful. Our room was in an annexe balcony sea-view room which was spacious and with a lovely outlook down to the sea and to central Positano, and which if anything was more attractive than pictured. (If staying in an annexe room and arriving by car it is best to drop off at Hotel Posa Posa on Vialle Pasitea, then walk down the steps of Via Fornillo opposite the hotel to the annexe rooms. Co-host Enzo was kind enough to await our late night arrival to direct us to our room). A plentiful and delicious continental buffet breakfast was presented on the garden terrace overlooking the sea and the surrounding hillsides, with host Mirella and daughter Manuella on hand to provide a friendly service. Overall we found the value of our accommodation to be superb for its standard and location, and have no hesitation in recommending Casa Teresa very highly.

There is no escaping having to haul luggage up and down plentiful steps at this level in Positano. However for those who can't manage this a porterage service is bookable. There are over 400 steps down to the local (Fornillo) beach from here - we found that after a couple of days our calf muscles had become accustomed - and felt healthier for it! Again, for those who can't manage this there is the longer roadside route option down to central Positano and the main beach. Also as in general in Positano, the bathroom water drainage is slightly slow.

Great location about 15 minutes walk from the center, which was even better as it was away from the tourist crowds. Very friendly and helpful host who gave suggestions about transport and restaurants. The beach is nearby, you just have to climb the stairs to get to it. Back, it could be difficult to climb especially in hot weather. Back we came by a detour through the city center. Several good restaurants are very close by. Very good breakfast on the terrace with a view of the center and the sea.

I assume it was an accident, but the bathroom was not perfectly clean.

Cute location away from the main touristy part of Positano and brilliantly located above less touristy beach. Coffee and breakfast in the morning allows you to sit in the sunrise and look out to the hills and coastline, with a couple of cat friends to keep you company. Room decor was authentic Italian and the quality was great, the staff were very attentive.

Parking - this was quite costly as there's only really pay and display bays or car parks further away. We managed to avoid getting parking tickets from the nearby bays but it was a risk!

Emanuela was fabulous - She gave us great directions and different options to get to Casa Teresa. The room was a good size, clean & very Italian. Location wise it was great - not to close but and too far from the main area/beach. It was nice to go back to Casa Teresa & take a break from the busy crowds. We took the stairs up from the port with 2 bags and 1 small suitcase, only 13 minutes walk. There are stairs everywhere in Positano & it can’t be avoided - everyone that stays here will have to face them. We got used to them after day 2! there is also a bus that takes you closer to the villa. Breakfast was delicious, with a beautiful view. there is a smaller less crowded beach approx 10 min walk downhill too. Could have easily stayed longer, we absolutely loved it. Thank you Casa Teresa!

Really cute accommodation, with lots of charm. You can see they really take a lot of pride in the presentation of the place, with well-manicured gardens, and tidy, colourful rooms with colourful hand painted murals and furniture. Very unique and charming. The buffet breakfast is amazing, with lots to choose from - bread, spreads, boiled eggs, croissants, cakes, donuts, pikelets, fruits, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. The outdoor balconies are very spacious and have lovely garden views. The bathroom was very clean, with a good shower. The staff are all very lovely, and the manager is very friendly, helpful and accomodating. We wanted to stay another night, but they were fully booked, so she organised another room for us downstairs, which was really lovely of her. The accommodation is a little bit out of the way, so it is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by gardens where you can listen to the birds. It is a little bit of a walk to the main town, and like most places in Positano, there are many stairs, so keep this in mind if you are carrying your own luggage - you might like to hire a taxi or a porter to carry your bags if it will be a problem for you.

we loved this family run hotel full of charm, beautiful decor, our incredibly clean room, our terrace overlooking the ocean, the ample space, well stocked fridge and delightful breakfasts overlooking the water. Enzo (who took over casa Teresa from his mother) and his family were lovely hosts. this accommodation was a calm to return to after all those stairs!

the walls were a little thin.
