Hotel Igea

The room was spacious and bright. It was very comfortable to stay in. I had an issue during my stay where my phone was stolen while I was on the train. Cristina, the receptionist, was extremely helpful, and she was able to find us the contact details for the train operator. But she then went above and beyond for us. Unfortunately, no one at the train operator spoke English, so Cristina phoned them on my behalf and explained the situation to them. She then wrote everything down for me in Itlaian so I could report the theft to the local police. During a very stressful situation, Cristina was extremely supportive, and she made the whole situation much more bareable. I can not thank Crisitna enough!

In the first room, the was an issue with the draws provided. However, the staff very quickly moved us to a new room which was perfect.

Breakfast was fantastic. It wasn't super fancy but had a wide selection of fresh and tasty food. It had very healthy options as well. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It actually matched what the photos advertised, and I greatly appreciate that part.

I have no legitimate complaints. Would be cool to have a balcony one can walk out on, but I'm no architect or engineer. It's not even really a complaint because I didn't even think about it after first noticing it was just a window. It's proximity to the train station far greatly outweighed the lack of some luxurious view.

The Staff was extremely supportive and eager to help. We booked a family room for 4 and we got two interconnecting good sized bedrooms. The rooms were extremely clean with neutral modern decor. The beds were also clean and comfy. The room temperature was comfortable and could be self controlled. The location was excellent and just two minutes walk from the Train station. There were lots of HALAL restaurants around the hotel. There was ALDI supermarket located just 2 minutes walk from the hotel from where you can buy food and other essentials. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Please note that hotel charges an extra cash amount under city tax whereas city tax was already collected by Booking.com. Collecting city tax twice times is a bit dodgy.

It was lovely hotel, easy to locate across from the train station. The breakfast was good and the waitress friendly. The hotel staff were helpful. The room was warm and clean. The water pressure excellent.

There wasn’t really anything. The hotel is under going renovations (as indicated by a sign in the lift) we were not disturbed by it at all but I’d say our room was one still to be done, so fixtures and fittings were a little tired. But clean and serviceable. The shower was tiny for the large space in the bathroom….. I couldn’t figure it out!!!

The hotel was lovely. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff and great food. Great location right by train station, also access to buses/ taxis etc. Easy for public transport. Despite the fact that our room overlooked a busy street, we heard no noise from outside. The hotel has gone to great lengths to make sure a quiet and comfortable stay. Breakfast selections were good with both hot and cold options, fruit, cereals etc. A good variety for all tastes.

Unfortunately the hotel didn't have designated parking, but it was available and paid for by the hotel in the nearby underground parking lot at the train station. Sadly, the area had a lot of shady looking characters hanging around on the streets, although police were patrolling the area, as a woman alone I would not have felt safe.

The staff was very friendly. Our first room had a problem with the electronic key card so the door wouldn't open. It took a while but eventually we got another room. I have to admit I'm not entirely sure if they charged us a little bit more because of the room change as we got a bigger room in the end. I was charged the amount which was on Booking.com but additionally when we left, they charged us 18 euros. This included at least the city tax but I did not completely understand if they charged us about the room change too. In general the staff spoke English, at least to the extent that we understood each other. The cleaning lady helped us a lot with the door problem although she did not speak a single word in English. The breakfast was OK. The room we had had a whole floor carpet which looked a bit old and dirty but otherwise the room was clean.

The location was pretty good, 20 min to center. It was easy to find, and though I didn't need it there's a train station very close to the hotel. I enjoyed breakfast. staff was helpful, bed was comfy and wifi signal was good.

There was no other thing than bed sheet to cover while sleeping. But after I asked at the reception they provided a blanket :) it would be nice if at least it was available in a closet so that guests can have an option And the room was pretty dark, at least for my standard- just lamps no main light

Wonderful hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms and common areas spotlessly clean. All communications prior to our stay were answered promptly, including arranging parking for us in the train station car park around the corner. An easy flat walk from the beautiful old centre of Brescia and it fabulous sights, bars and restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Nice and kind stuff, did their best to serve us. Nice restaurant, open 24 hours, close to the train, allowed us to do excursions, financially satisfying in compare to other choices in the same area. Really nice and rich breakfast for those who prefer it.

Close to the train, kind of worried as in the night, to walk around after nine, although nothing really happened. Was a bit of surprise that the restaurant was closed on Sunday. Nothing else really seamed out of order.

Location was central to all amenities including the train station. The breakfast limited as regards the hot food but there was a very good choice of cold foods

Only one socket in room to charge phones, shower could do with updating, no dinner option.
