Corrib House Guest Accommodation

Historic home that was fully restored in 2011. Riverside room is split across two levels with a pleasant sitting room on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. A number of different breakfast and coffee options available from the associated Tea Room - we tried several during our stay and they were all very good. Within a block of the Galway Circuit Court and it was clear many of the out-of-town legal professionals preferred staying at The Corrib House. A pleasant and helpful staff, particularly Mia.

Some of the upholstered furniture had some light staining. Some evidence of a modest moisture issue on the walls/ceiling of the bathroom (discoloring).

The overall look of the building and its historic fit out/ furniture. The staff was very friendly and professional. The location of the house was perfect for use, very central. Parking the car was not an issue although it required a couple of minutes walk every day.

The limited check in window (due to staff not permanently present at the location) was a bit of a challenge; we had to rush our journey to Galway to get there safely in time.

The Corrib View room has a lovely view of the river and we loved opening the window to listen to the sound of water rushing over the falls. The room was cute and clean. Walkable to the heart of Galway. The breakfast was delicious. The cafe and courtyard were picture perfect.

We are big people so the shower was tiny for us. But it was not enough to ruin our day. I think other rooms have larger showers.

So close to the centre of Galway. Quiet area and safe. Room was comfortable with lots of room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and they have lots of lovely options. Including dietary alternatives, like gluten and dairy free. Staff were friendly and helpful - when we had to arrive late due to a flight delay, they were really helpful.

We stayed in the Salmon Weir room and it was outstanding. The decor is georgian style and took our breath away. Giant comfy bed, big wardrobe and dresser and a big bathtub in the ensuite. It had tea and coffee facilities, with home made biscuits waiting for us, great WiFi too. We couldn't stay for breakfast so our host Lea put together a little picnic of foods and looked after us so well. We will definitely be back!

If I had to pick anything at all I would say that the TV was very small and hard to view from the bed comfortably however this would not put me off booking again as it was such a small point

The actual building was gorgeous, very historic but very nicely renovated, clean. The breakfast as well was honestly one of the best of my life and I could not recommend it more.

We weren't actually aware in advance that the room we booked didn't have an attached bathroom. We still had a private bathroom it was just down the stairs. Didn't love that.

This was our absolute favorite place that we stayed at in Ireland! The room was gorgeous, the bed was SO comfortable, and the included breakfast was the most amazing breakfast I have ever had at a hotel! We were so impressed with this place and will be recommending it to our family and friends when they visit Ireland. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Corrib House Guest Accommodation! We stayed in the Salmon Weir room which was very spacious and comfortable and had the most beautiful view of the Corrib River. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful; providing recommendations of which pubs to visit and serving what felt like endless supplies of delicious coffee and brownies. We will definitely be back if we ever visit Galway again.

The bed was a little bit too soft for our liking and the wooden floors creaked a bit.

The view from the Riverside suite was fantastic of the weir! It took barely a few minutes to walk to the centre of Galway city and there were many restaurants close by. Upon arrival we found out that we could avail of unlimited free hot drinks from the tea rooms even after closing to the public up until 8pm even with tea and coffee-making facilities in the suite!

The only small criticism I could take is possibly the price but for a suite over two floors, with an amazing view and so close to the city centre, it is hard to disagree with it. The water in the shower did take a bit of time to heat up fully but once heated, was perfect. However, the hot chocolate from the tea room could've done with being a touch hotter!

Location was perfect central & scenic by the river yet private & peaceful . Breakfast was excellent

I would have like a small comfortable lounge area to relax in to read or enjoy & relax in , .. On checking out time cafe was full, noisy & people waiting, felt a little strange to come downstairs to a Q in the hall & had to go into the packed cafe to pay ..
